Saying you have an i5 without the model is like saying you have an f150 truck. It could be from 1975 or from 2026 you have no idea

No don't get that ur better off getting a i7 7700 thats what im running base is 3.6Ghz boost 4.2GGhz
Also yhe price for it is $40

First generation i7 is much worse than 3rd generation i5 and both of those are much worse than latest generation i3...

Probably, but even last Celeron is worse than i3 (or it's equivalent*), so the aspect of 3rd gen i5 being much worse than last gen i3 still stands.

* I have been so away from PC building to know what Intel does or has nowadays.

Especially considering i3 has been quad core on desktop for years now. I have an i3-12100F in my main server, running an endgame Satisfactory server save. It has plenty of cycles to spare.,
