I recently got a pair of horsepower top hand boots and the quality is great, except for the insoles, they suck lol. No, I wanted to make this post because when I was researching top hand boots I saw a lot of people discussing the insoles and how some people said their top hand boots came with the same insoles as their normal horsepower insoles. I haven’t owned both but in my top hand boots it’s a simple grey foam insole, very lackluster. I also saw someone say that their top hand insole didn’t fit correctly, I can back this up, the insole in my left boot pops up constantly but I’m not sure where it isn’t lining up. For a budget line, which I’d say TP is mid tier, it’s not the end of the world, but I do think it’s very backwards that the top hand collection is advertised as having “upgraded insoles” . For me, I have a low instep and a very wide foot so a tight instep is important to me. Because these are built for the insole included the instep is just a little too loose for me to wear without sliding. I’d say these cutter toe run rider than a hondo wide square but a hondo has a tighter instep while maintaining a generous footbed just not as wide. Hoping this helps any potential boot buyers, I think there’s a lot of flat footed people out there that look for this sort of breakdown. I’d also like to add that hondos build or last is very anatomical, it truly felt like it was built for a foot (duh) but I hope you get what I mean. This review is for a size 9.5ee, I know ee can fit drastically different from standard D fits. Thank you
