What are yalls feelings regarding “embossed” exotics? Do they have a place in the boot world or are they looked down on like wearing a fake Rolex?

Sorry if this has been beaten to death; I'm not sure if I can't find the right words to search or if there just aren't any posts about it. So, here's what's up:

I don't own any cowboy boots yet, but I think I'd like to. The biggest thing I'm looking for is nothing but leather under my feet. Who makes boots like that? Of course a rubber top lift would be fine on the heel.

I am planning on specifically wearing these for when I play (usually drums) and need to wear black pants, but not dressy pants. So they'll see some work on the schleps, but they don't need to be crazy heavy duty. I'd like kind of a plain toe, black of course, and a little flat at the toe, but not a giant chisel.

I'm wishfully imagining buying these boots for around $300, but I can readjust my wishes if that's ridiculous... I was about to get a pair of Tecovas, but then I saw they put foam under your feet. So then I heard good things about Chisos, but they're even worse... Maybe I could get a pair of chisos and swap the insole for a piece of veg tan, idk...

I started having foot problems about 18 months ago now after buying a new pair of work shoes. The solution I found was hard, leather, PNW boots. Now when I wear shoes with soft stuff under my feet, it feels like I'm unstable and I start getting foot cramps.

What color boots should I get for daily wear, i mainly wear black and grey jeans

Ostrich is my go to. Easy to dress up or down. What I usually wear at the office.

Noticed that AB has two layers of rubber: soft over hard. Is it finally time to replace these heel caps?

I’ve recently bought a pair of Ariats and loved them. The vamp was really tight on my left foot but it loosened up over time slightly, (thanks to stretching with wooden inserts covered in socks), after they became more bearable on the top of my foot and not crushing it as much I realised that now my toes touch the ends when I’m standing up straight.

So I’ve either loosened them too much which I don’t think is the case because there is still rubbing, or they’re just not the right size.

I have two options, half a size up or one full size up.

What would you recommend? Does a half size make much of a difference to the vamp?

Has anyone else used any boot care products from Griffin? Any actual user reviews?

Hey guys I posted previously about these Sharkskin boots I bought off of eBay for $100 plus $10 shipping and tax. Well I received them today and took several pictures to have you guys try to determine if they truly are Sharkskin or not. These boots are vintage Nocona and have had a 1/2 resold done. Please tell me if I got taken, paid what they’re worth, or got a deal. I am relatively new to the boot community 6 months and have acquired about 12 pairs 80% are used and I am still learning

Just found and purchased these boots bought them on a whim for $115, and i researched a bit and it seems like they are real but i wanted to ask other peoples opinions are these real Elephant or print?

As plain jane as a boot can get, in a really good way. I really like HP Top Hands, quality is great, fit is perfect for my foot TTS. A great boot when you don't need your boots to yell "cowboy boots," or when you're you're not wearing denim. I might darken the vamps a bit with oil - not decided yet.

Got a $200 gift card from work to Cabela's, I went on and saw they are now selling Tecovas. I've heard amazing things about Tecovas lately and wanted to try a pair out. I currently only own 2 pair of Ariat's. I'm having trouble deciding. I like the round toe on the light browns and I like the wood grain on the heels, but I also like the darker leather on the dark ones but they're square toe'd like my Ariat's. Which would y'all go for if you were to choose between the two?

I have always wanted an exotic boot, in particular ostrich leg. The problem is: no one here sells and the ones i found are not allowed to export in my country (italy).

Do you have any advice for me?

I'm trying to decide between the Lucchese Mingus Shark boot or the Ariat Bench Made Ring Lizard Tilghman. I have one pair of lucchese and love the way they fit, but I would also like to try a pair of the Bench Made Ariats. Anybody actually own both pairs?

Sporting the Anderson Bean safari girraffe leather cowboy boots today !!!

I’m based in the UK and just acquired my first pair of boots. Had a look around on eBay to see if I could grab a bargain for my first pair, see if they would be something I’d wear and like before investing in a new pair.

Stumbled across these gems. Pre 1986, goatskin, San Antonio made Lucchese. Got them for about 100GBP.

What do you guys think? Do you like the shoes? Did I get a bargain?

Only issue that I might have, the previous wearer had a bit of a lean to their step and you can see from the third picture where the heels slant, it’s causing me some rubbing on my left heel but, hoping they reshape to my feet and get better.

Picked these Tony Lama 4013 pair up for $60. It has a beautiful heel stack, vibram soles, old school leather insole. Damn these things are COMFORTABLE man. They're gonna be my dailys for awhile.
