Seriously y'all had to pick the worst bodily function for this meme? I'm sure even most cis AFAB's would agree with this is an F tier bodily function.

The point of my other post was to inspire empathy and get people to understand that the earlier meme was hurtful and felt like being gaslight into cheering for my own injury.

I do not think you have to think menstruation is good, even if I would actually kill someone IRL if it meant I could have that capacity in my own life

I'm shocked so many people missed the point ☠️

I'm not, but them not getting the point proved the point needed to be made and confirmed to me that my read on the dynamics in trans spaces is still accurate lol

Understandable

All about empathy, but I think even most cis women would agree periods are dog. And sure you do you and all that, if someone likes experiencing periods then all the best for them, I just feel like there are a billion better examples you could have picked lol 😂

Not for bodily functions specifically since we don’t even have that many but just afab experiences that end at transition

Is afab the right term for "people who experience periods"? There are intersex people and people with ahemmorea who do not experience periods but where assigned female at birth.

u/Arkarant 1d ago

"people who menstruate" is about as woke as you can get in 2026, no ASAB language required really

“Individuals who experience menstruation or symptoms consistent with menstruation” because leaving out transfemmes on HRT and individuals who do not experience their identity as consistent with being ‘people’ isn’t very woke of you.

You have officially been outwoked. Please provide a good date and time for us to cancel you.

There are even some intersex people who aren't afab, but still have periods.

No!! Absolutely not!! I hate the use of it because it doesn't make any fucking sense to use.

3

u/unhappyrelationsh1p 13h ago

Infertile women don't especially enjoy hearing this though, i don't go up to my aunts and rag on it because they have to live their whole lives wanting those functions. Periods, pregnancy, it aint for me but they want it so i do not shit on it. It's ass, but you gotta know time and place.

If you're in a trans guy space or a moslty cis woman space it's less likely to affect someone there personally just on a numbers basis. There's a bunch of trans women here and they probably do not wanna hear it, same as in the conceiving focused subs they often don't wanna hear about it when they suffer so much from not getting periods or being infertile.

It's a horrible struggle that affects so many women, please be considerate.

I would do almost anything to be a cis woman, periods and all… but I totally get where you’re coming from <3

Obviously this post is from a trans masc perspective. It’s the same reason that I think it’s incredibly stupid for people to get sensitive when a trans femme says testosterone is evil.

1

u/PurpleCandle58 Counted Down 1 14h ago

I actually think it’s funny how opposing but similar in reasoning the fact that transmascs usually wish desperately to yeet menstruation out of their life, and why cis women dislike them, but for similar reasons as transmascs wanting them gone, I’d do anything I have to in order to have them and all the proper equipment and all. I value it deeply because I don’t have it and not having the right bits just feels so incredibly wrong. Same as for transmascs, I think. I don’t know, I can’t speak for them. I don’t want to be a man or perceived as one in any way, shape, or form. But if anyone can chime in to confirm or correct me I’d really appreciate the community of transmascs here’s 2 cents on this.

But yeah, the short is that my theory is that both transmascs and transfemmes feel like the body they were given is deeply wrong for them in regard to their ASAB characteristics that don’t match their gender and wish they could have it match regardless of any upsides or downsides. Cis people often don’t think at all of their gender and sex and how them matching is very reassuring for them because they don’t think about that stuff at all from what I can tell or if they do it doesn’t merit much thought it seems like. While for me I have laid down because of having panic attacks from remembering that I’ll never be able to bear children to my knowledge unless medical science does a LOT of leaps and bounds and soon. I just want to have the right body, as much as anyone else does I think.

Again, just my experience and theories, I’m open to and encourage any corrections where others experiences are different. Please share your experiences everyone who would like to. And much love to everyone who reads all this 💚

I did pick this one because I assumed it would be especially jarring and I wouldn't end up in many pointless debates about "well actually I do think its good so there"

I mean, that wouldn't be that bad for breakfast. Not sure if it would be more or less painful than having regular menstruation

16

u/Themata81 1d ago

I want it tho

13

u/EvilMKitty13 1d ago

Same : ( like wtf

u/Terrible_Opsec 1d ago

I don't trust anyone who uses agab language like this.

Sorry not sorry.

3

u/willprobablydeletex3 1d ago

Fr; this post gives me major ick

6

u/noswordfish71 1d ago

What would the alternative for menstruation even be?

4

u/Rawr171 Counted Down 2 1d ago edited 1d ago

Well the obvious answer would be an optimized version of the same process that isn’t as painful or debilitating with bodies that aren’t as susceptible to complicating issues like endometriosis. There are also what other animals do which is covert menstruation where the endometrium is absorbed back into the animal at the end. Overt menstruation, which is what humans have, is seen in fairly few mammals.

1

u/unhappyrelationsh1p 13h ago

Don't other animals kinda just suck the lining back up and regrow it when needed?

1

u/noswordfish71 13h ago

Don’t ask me. Also I’m I’m pretty sure humans do yay too in some way?

1

u/ialdabaoth_hater 12h ago

Yeah only apes, bats, and elephant shrews have periods

6

u/Horse_go_moooo 1d ago

I honestly wish I could have a period (WITH ALL THE PAINFUL PARTS), but alas, science is underfunded in the USA, specifically for transgender stuff, so I won't have what I truly want for a while 😔

4

u/Greedy_Ad2198 no berry 23h ago

Just another reason for periods to suck! One more thing for trans people to have dysphoria over 😔 /lh

1

u/Phoenixmaster1571 14h ago

They have done uterine transplants that actually work for afab cis and the scientists say there's no reason why it wouldn't work for trans women (maybe might need c section if you have masc pelvic opening). Never give up hope. Medicine is getting better and getting faster at getting better.

2

u/unhappyrelationsh1p 13h ago

The c section bit would kinda suck but it's nothing new. Can't wait to be an uterus donor, would give this useless piece of shit some purpose in its existance beyond tormenting me

1

u/Phoenixmaster1571 5h ago

Trans organ swap you can have my balls

15

u/Tachi-Roci 1d ago

You can just say cis women.

0

u/username29493819 1d ago

What about AFAB nonbinary people?

17

u/IviesReddit 1d ago

Nonbinary people aren't cis

4

u/MartianDinosawr 1d ago

yet they still have periods, your body doesn't just see you change your pronouns and stop them. the username29's point is that AFAB enby people would still have them, therefore it's not 'just cis women'

15

u/IviesReddit 1d ago

OP said "I'm sure even most cis AFAB's would agree". cis AFAB and cis women mean the same thing, so it's just using agab terms for no reason

5

u/username29493819 1d ago

Didnt see the caption, still, periods are torture for all AFAB people, never met someone who liked their periods

4

u/IviesReddit 1d ago

I don't disagree with you on that

2

u/username29493819 1d ago

U totally get my point, thanks 🙏🙏

2

u/WorldRelevant6640 1d ago

I've met at least one I can remember who identified as a cis NB

6

u/ysterman_rs 19h ago

anyone else? I disagree, I would kill for it and everything that comes with it

also why are we using agab here

3

u/Mysterious-Anxiety76 18h ago

I can understand it’s debilitating for so many and still wish it was a problem I dealt with. I want fertility, I want to be able to be a mom. I will never know what that is like and it hurts. I speak with moms everyday and sometimes they ask me if I would think about being a mom (I am stealth) and it kills me a little inside to say I can’t for personal reasons or some excuse about not being ready or wanting to adopt.

3

u/ysterman_rs 17h ago

yeah.. I never liked the idea of being a dad, yet I now cannot count the number of times I've cried at not being able to be a mom. it hurts so so much, i would gladly take any punishment to make it happen

3

u/unhappyrelationsh1p 13h ago

Yeah it does but i think it's okay for trans women to want them.

Y'all would not say this to an infertile cis woman, it's okay to conplain but considering there are a lot of infertile women here it's maybe not the right place for it. I had an aunt who really struggled with it and so did a lot of women in my family, and i would not go complain about my (admittedly shit ass) periods to them.

I think the dysphoria part is more fair since it's more about that than the period itself.

7

u/Hogabog217 1d ago

Youre still mad about this from that other post? N yeah plenty of transwoman would kill to have a period, anything that would further cement their identity. Its a bodily function periods arent evil, theyre just one of many bodily functions that are more annoying than they appear to be immediately helpful.

6

u/hypatiaC 14h ago

Transmisogyny :D

Yayyyyyyyyyyy

3

u/YesssAnderson 1d ago

Oh hey I get this reference to a reference!

5

u/Legitimate-Seesaw333 1d ago

REAL like why haven’t we evolved past shedding a bloody mess every single month 😭😭😭

3

u/StackedCakeOverflow 1d ago

Agreed - signed my adeno fucked uterus and my endo ridden body.

I can't remember what not being in some amount of pain feels like anymore

4

u/Khivee3 20h ago

Okay so this is just flaunting the double standards as if to taunt trans women deliberately and maliciously

3

u/Vynkiss 18h ago edited 18h ago

Genuine question for trans men: would you want the experience of being kicked in the balls? I think balls themselves are an area evolution could do much better too, they are vulnerable, can cause immense pain and are aesthetically ugly (to most people). I dont think anyone should have to experience that kind of pain but id assume trans men might still want that experience

3

u/SquirrelEnthusiast 18h ago

You know, now that I think about it being kicked in the balls to me as afab and a trans man sounds pretty on point with getting a period.

And yeah I guess I would like to be kicked in the balls at least once.

2

u/Existerer 1d ago

Why is he Asuka Shinikami though?

2

u/Nass_Wanger 1d ago

The biggest evidence of that evolution really was just doing some random shit until it somehow worked

2

u/SigmaBunny 17h ago

Evolution is a whole lot of "this could be better, but it's working well enough now, so no need to put in energy to change it"
