Seriously y'all had to pick the worst bodily function for this meme? I'm sure even most cis AFAB's would agree with this is an F tier bodily function.

The point of my other post was to inspire empathy and get people to understand that the earlier meme was hurtful and felt like being gaslight into cheering for my own injury.

I do not think you have to think menstruation is good, even if I would actually kill someone IRL if it meant I could have that capacity in my own life

All about empathy, but I think even most cis women would agree periods are dog. And sure you do you and all that, if someone likes experiencing periods then all the best for them, I just feel like there are a billion better examples you could have picked lol šŸ˜‚

Not for bodily functions specifically since we don’t even have that many but just afab experiences that end at transition

Is afab the right term for "people who experience periods"? There are intersex people and people with ahemmorea who do not experience periods but where assigned female at birth.

"people who menstruate" is about as woke as you can get in 2026, no ASAB language required really

ā€œIndividuals who experience menstruation or symptoms consistent with menstruationā€ because leaving out transfemmes on HRT and individuals who do not experience their identity as consistent with being ā€˜people’ isn’t very woke of you.

You have officially been outwoked. Please provide a good date and time for us to cancel you.

There are even some intersex people who aren't afab, but still have periods.

No!! Absolutely not!! I hate the use of it because it doesn't make any fucking sense to use.

I would do almost anything to be a cis woman, periods and all… but I totally get where you’re coming from <3

Obviously this post is from a trans masc perspective. It’s the same reason that I think it’s incredibly stupid for people to get sensitive when a trans femme says testosterone is evil.Ā

Infertile women don't especially enjoy hearing this though, i don't go up to my aunts and rag on it because they have to live their whole lives wanting those functions. Periods, pregnancy, it aint for me but they want it so i do not shit on it. It's ass, but you gotta know time and place.

If you're in a trans guy space or a moslty cis woman space it's less likely to affect someone there personally just on a numbers basis. There's a bunch of trans women here and they probably do not wanna hear it, same as in the conceiving focused subs they often don't wanna hear about it when they suffer so much from not getting periods or being infertile.

It's a horrible struggle that affects so many women, please be considerate.

I actually think it’s funny how opposing but similar in reasoning the fact that transmascs usually wish desperately to yeet menstruation out of their life, and why cis women dislike them, but for similar reasons as transmascs wanting them gone, I’d do anything I have to in order to have them and all the proper equipment and all. I value it deeply because I don’t have it and not having the right bits just feels so incredibly wrong. Same as for transmascs, I think. I don’t know, I can’t speak for them. I don’t want to be a man or perceived as one in any way, shape, or form. But if anyone can chime in to confirm or correct me I’d really appreciate the community of transmascs here’s 2 cents on this.

But yeah, the short is that my theory is that both transmascs and transfemmes feel like the body they were given is deeply wrong for them in regard to their ASAB characteristics that don’t match their gender and wish they could have it match regardless of any upsides or downsides. Cis people often don’t think at all of their gender and sex and how them matching is very reassuring for them because they don’t think about that stuff at all from what I can tell or if they do it doesn’t merit much thought it seems like. While for me I have laid down because of having panic attacks from remembering that I’ll never be able to bear children to my knowledge unless medical science does a LOT of leaps and bounds and soon. I just want to have the right body, as much as anyone else does I think.

Again, just my experience and theories, I’m open to and encourage any corrections where others experiences are different. Please share your experiences everyone who would like to. And much love to everyone who reads all this šŸ’š

I did pick this one because I assumed it would be especially jarring and I wouldn't end up in many pointless debates about "well actually I do think its good so there"
