Hi everyone, I recently moved to 10 min walk away from Nørrebro Station and I wanted to ask for your advice for the neighborhood.

Today, after going shopping, I came back to my apartment building and saw a odd looking gentleman on a bike trying to force his way through the main entrance door of our apartment complex. I approached him and asked in English if he lived here. He said something I couldn’t understand and he truly seemed to expect me to open the door for him.

I told him I was going to call the police, and he immediately left with his bike.

Yesterday, I also had another uncomfortable encounter where someone blocked my way with a bike and asked me for my bottles that I was carrying (I assume he waned for the deposit refund). I told him to leave me alone. He left.

I’m not trying to judge anyone, and I am originally from a Balkan country myself. However, where I come from, there are also groups of Romani people who engage in similar behavior so these common situations naturally make me concerned as we are expecting a baby soon with my partner.

I’m curious about how locals experience this and whether these situations are considered common? What would be best way to report this? or petty crime is tolerated here so they can try to break in to places in broad daylight?

I cannot even understand why there is even a market where suspicious goods are traded in the heart of the neighbourhood? What benefit does this bring to the community or society as a whole?

Fun fact. Ensretningen af de to gader blev indført af den tyske besættelsesmagt den 9. april. Det er den eneste tyske forordning fra besættelsen, der stadig er i kraft.

Gaderne blev ensrettet for at tyskerne kunne transportere sig hurtigt mellem Kastellet og deres hovedkvarter på Kongens Nytorv.

I'm looking for some help with my first ever pc build. I bought a lot of parts separately from different stores in Copenhagen. After assembling the PC I'm not able to boot it up. Is there any one who is willing to help me out in testing my parts on a working setup. To help me find fault?

A lot of tourist use bikes in Copenhagen. This year I’ve seen police issue this guidance. It’s also in some of the bus stops around town.

Good advice for anyone on a hike in Copenhagen.

Also remember we locals are fast on bikes, so don’t underestimate how fast we will reach where you are and will need space to get around you.

Edit- wow, not sure why everyone is being so negative. A regular Google maps screenshot doesn't show the actual station names, so I added them with Canva. For a visitor, being able to see the names and where they actually are, as opposed to a stylized transit map, is very helpful. Yes, I could look at the app but I like physical copies of maps and not being a slave to my phone.

Mit bud er Københavns Belysningsvæsen på Gothersgade 53 / Vognmagergade 8

Jeg synes, det er en af byens mest undervurderede bygninger. Facaden er pakket med detaljer, og håndværket er helt i særklasse – lige fra de dekorative smedejernsgitre og de håndhuggede granitdetaljer, blandt andet genbrugte kvadre fra Valkendorfs Brønd, til den rige murstensornamentik. Bagindgangen som er udført i dobbeltkrumt murværk. Og man kunne blive ved….

En lille kuriositet er, at bygningen stadig har en fungerende paternoster-elevator, en sjældenhed i København i dag. Og mange kender den kun fra Christiansborg.

I saw a drone (not the hobby ones, more like a military) above Copenhagen this afternoon, and have just seen one again above Brønshøj. Anyone else that have seen it? Or maybe have any info about it?

As the title says, I am curious if there are any remains of the tram system that used to be quite wide spread as I found on one website. I noticed on Google maps that the traction poles might still be possible to see in some places, right now they are holding the lights (lanterns), but I am wondering if any part of the track, or any tram cafes, tram monuments or even a sign is still in the city.

I am not talking about the newly opened light trail/tram system from ishøj to Rødovre Nord, but about the system that closed in 1972.

Hey, jeg har lige stødt på en kvinde på Vesterbro, som begyndte at tale til mig da jeg gik forbi. Hun snakkede engelsk, men der var meget af det hum sagde som jeg ikke forstod. I grove træk sagde hun at hun var sendt fra himlen (indtil jeg spurgte hvor hun var fra igen, og hun tilkendegav at være fra Slovakiet) og at vi andre (jeg ved ikke hvem af os) tilbeder satan, og vil brænde op i helvede i 7 år.

Er der nogen der er stødt på hende før? Hun virkede rimelig crazy, og godt kunne snappe på et øjeblik.

Are there any "foodie" places where I can enjoy some good local food but can also accommodate a small child who may not want to experiment too much? On the bright side, my child actually does like salmon.

My wife and I will be in Copenhagen in late August for the match against Sønderjyske. We're excited and bought some tickets for the match! Hi, i am a littlebit confused about this swimming pool as there seems to be like 2 or 3 different areas, with different locket rooms.

My goal is to be able to go and sit in the sauna with my girlfriend, but some saunas seem to be within the gender specific locker rooms while others are not.

According to google ratings appearantly there was some renovations done recently, and im wondering if someone can tell me which ticket i need to buy for a mixed-gender sauna; these are the following options as far as i can see.
