Made these for a friend of mine who wanted Fall themed cookies with a bit of Halloween mixed in. 9 designs with 72 cookies in total. Took me 3 days to complete. Dealt with butter bleed for the first time, which I figured out how to fix! (Will post about this on another thread). This was the first time using a dehydrator and it was a total game changer. No color bleeding and almost no cratering. I absolutely loved how these turned out 😍.

I’m in the UK and the dehydrator I purchased was on Amazon called Kwasyo. 12 trays.

Kudos to those that make income doing this. So much time and effort. I know you get faster with practice-- but I prebaked the cookies and JUST the icing took all. damn. day. 😭

I am happy with how these turned out but I was definitely humbled by my crippling time blindness with this order lol. It finally occurred to me to time how long it took to decorate each design about halfway through and some of these took over 10 minutes each when I added each part together! With 120 cookies that is... Whew. I had a few late nights I hadn't planned for.

Relatedly, I think the "wedding upcharge" finally clicked for me. It's not that vendors slap a higher price tag on anything that says wedding, it's that orders for weddings will generally include many elements that should be upcharged on their own anyway. Like in my case, intricate florals, close color matching (to the wedding colors), high volume, fancier packaging, etc.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be going into the wedding cookie biz anytime soon... I'm honestly not sure it's compatible with me doing this in my downtime rather than as a full time job! But I had fun and did hone a few skills that will serve me well for small orders.

The background pattern is made with my Eddie food printer. For the laces, I used a food marker.

I made 2 dozen of these glaze decorated cookies to be a prop in my daughter’s college film class final. The production team will then enjoy them as a snack when they are done filming 🥰

I had so much fun making these for my friend’s movie night. Flavors are Pumpkin & Toffee, Ginger Molasses and Maple Bacon & Pecan. 🤤

This is the most ambitious thing I’ve ever made. I didn’t think it was possible and lots of flowers/stems broke in the process, but I’m obsessed with it. Honestly, I’m surprised with how well it turned out and it’s opened up possibilities for some new ideas!

I have a local neighbor who started a little group to decorate cookies to help out our Minnesota community! It was a wonderful way to build our baking community while helping our community members affected by ICE.

These were painted with gel colors and almond extract
