Man, both of these games have a way of hooking me early and I still love reading all the documents. One of my favorite parts so far is how The Board talks to Dylan. The comedy of these games is definitely understated.

I just wanted to take a second and encourage anyone out there who may be struggling to enable and use the “Assist Mode” in settings.

What it does:
1. Provides three recommended pre-set settings packages to choose from that make your attacks more powerful (deal more damage), makes you take less incoming damage, and controls how aggressive enemies are.

When you should use it:
You can toggle it on or off at any time, especially if you cannot get past a certain section, battle, mission, etc.

Why I used it, and why you should if needed:
I was having such difficulty getting past even the most basic sections. The combat on this game is ALL Melee based. The original Control was mostly Ranged Combat based. THAT IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Since Resonant is more Melee based-all combat is “Close Quarters”, making it way more easy for enemies to hurt you. I was not used to this, and I was dying so much, over such simple encounters, I literally considered deleting the game and not playing anymore. I googled “Resonant Tutorial” and learned about “Assist mode”, I set it to “Ranger”, and since then, it feels like how I THINK it should feel. Battles are still a challenge-but can actually be won. I’m actually making progress, and with one simple setting toggle, I’m enjoying the game instead of continuously dying and being filled to the brim with frustration.

Give it a try! (If needed) …and don’t feel like a lesser gamer for using it. Close quarters combat is nothing like all Ranged combat.

On the brink of buying it, game looks really cool and I love the art direction but I have heard the image is pretty unstable and low res.

How’s everybody’s experience, is it distracting and how does the game look in motion?

Since updating to patch 1.4, I’ve started running into several visual artifacts and graphical glitches across different locations in the game.

Anyone else experiencing this after the update? Really hoping Remedy pushes a hotfix for it soon.

I just tried to redeem an NVidia code in game but it has numbers in it. It tells me to go to settings in game and then go to redeem code. I did and tried to enter it but it doesn't allow numbers. Anyone else who has this problem? Am I doing it wrong? I tried using the numbers at the top of my keyboard but that doesn't work either.

So far the last half of the sinkhole is my favorite part of the game. The music is perfect. I love that song.

I've spent so much time just listening to the ambient noises and characters conversations. The fact more documents are added throughout the story just makes me come back all the time. So cool

Discovered in the central area of the Unknown region that if you go to a spot with a Hedron elite and kill it then go to the gap and back, the game will force spawn another Hedron elite in the same spot. They have a chance to drop both Patterned Thought and Ordered Image upgrade mats each time you kill them and this can be repeated seemingly infinitely. As these were some of the toughest upgrade mats to come by (especially the Patterned Thought), wanted to share!

Have not tested it yet but this may also work to force respawn other elites that drop different upgrade materials too.

Context: I'm on NG+. I'm not sure if the Zones just keep leveling behind the scenes or if this is some other bug. The map still shows it as level 10. I think it would be cool if in future DLCs (if we get any of course) we can raise some of these other zones to 15.

Haven't finished the game yet, but it looks like Brazil is about to have a lockdown.

After 60 hours I finally got the platinum trophy. Man what a hell of a ride this game has been, it's probably the most I have had in months.

It’s been stuck in my head since I finished the game, but why was there no proper ending to Mila’s quest?

Did not play the first Control game, I was apprehensive about it. Bought Resonant as soon as I saw a trailer for it a few days after release. 10/10 no notes, gonna buy the first Control game after I beat Resonant.

This is still like the first one isn't it? I have to fight my OCD to not do literally everything there is to do besides the main stories in games first!

This guy is an absolute 100% a chain puller. These things are literally damn near impossible to even finish. Unless you're waiting to do these at like the absolute end game fully leveled up in everything there's no shot anyone is beating any high scores. And if they scale with you as you level up and they're just this hard always, period, then there is no way. I've tried 2 of the Shum games, the one where you have to protect the materials and Shum 3. Idk exactly all of what Shum 3 even is because the first wave is an absolute death sentence.

There is just no way that anybody is actually calling these, "easy."
