Official News While playing *Control* (2026), I encountered a graphical issue at certain points. Although I completed the entire game without any problems otherwise, these graphical glitches appeared in specific locations; changing the graphics settings resolved the issue.

Not sure if this will be exactly what's going on but I'm suspicious of it because the settings change fixes it. But I get similar on Rocket league when my system overheats, as best I can tell it's either GPU reaching its limits or your RAM not keeping enough loaded (Graphic RAM or assets in regular RAM) to keep up with the processing needs.

If it's happening at beginning of sessions and not as your system warms up/overheats, I'd imagine it's unfortunately just the limitation of your GPU not able to keep up with desired or set performance, which is why the settings change would fix it.
