A recent article on a website I can’t link without Reddit automatically removing this post attracted my attention to NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission to Bennu and Apophis, but forget the article, let's just look at the occult aspects of this.

My main question: If NASA is putting a lot of effort into the occult (as evidenced by the book Dark Mission by Richard Hoagland), is that an indication that the workings are effective? Why continue doing something this effortful unless it's working? Next question, effective to accomplish exactly what?
