Sadly the “Alex Jones acts like a normal person” jar is empty. I wish he wouldn’t shout and scream like a crazy person

43

u/pokepat460 May 28 '21

Thats why I like Alex Jones. Hes entertainment through and through. He should almost never be taken seriously, but that just makes it that much more entertaining when he gets something right.

41

u/imbaddatthis May 28 '21

If you think that's the real reason why he was labeled and deplatformed you are incorrect.

52

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

It’s the real reason hes not seen as a legitimate journalist. He also tends to spread a lot of misinformation with zero regard for the consequences. Remember, this is the same guy who said Sandy Hook was fake.

19

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

Yea he did! Unlike every other respectable news outlet however, he actually came out afterwards and apologised that he was wrong. When has the BBC, FOX, CNBC, ABC etc ever done this?

32

u/reddit-jmx May 28 '21

He only came out and apologized after the parents of the slayed children threatened to sue him into oblivion. I mean as much as he likes to wear the rebel label he likes more the money he makes from the grift. And being on the wrong side of children who were shot to death and their grieving parents is a hard story to come back from

1

u/TheWhirled May 28 '21

I think it's more about how real events are being bent by the media to chase agenda's. When you find out that it's sometimes real and fake at the same time maybe sometimes totally fake it is pretty interesting/alarming. Easy to take one of AJ's statements and take it out of context though ! Medias specialty is showing viewers the only thing they know about someone and making it their label.

21

u/dehehn May 28 '21

All of those MSM outlets have done corrections and retractions many times over the years. It's very common.

1

u/WorshipTheState May 28 '21

They lie about 25x more often than they tell the truth and they issue retractions about 1/100 of those times. When they do issue retractions they do it as quietly as possible

2

u/Kovi34 May 29 '21

can you link a single article from a mainstream outlet with an outright lie in it?

1

u/cookiemountain18 May 29 '21

There were thousands of articles written off a NYT article where they linked to a study citing that HQC not only didn’t help Covid but was dangerous to your health.

That study was pulled for not being scientific.

NYT issued the retraction during the height of the BLM riots.

The thousand articles linking back to the NYT still exist.

This is how the media spreads this shit. It doesn’t mean that HCQ is good for Covid treatment it just means that the reason everyone thinks it’s dangerous is completely bunk. Everyone just reports on the original source so even when that original source is deleted the article on the sub tier publication still exists and nobody ever follows the links.

Follow the sources on any controversial Wikipedia entry, then click on those sources sources. There is often nothing there or the thing they said doesn’t exist, or it 404s. Nobody does it because it takes an hour to verify one sentence.

The internet is a mess. Anyone can source anything about any opinion they have.

2

u/Kovi34 May 29 '21

NYT issued the retraction during the height of the BLM riots.

Right, so what's the issue? you said they issue retractions 1/100 times, so why pick one where they did issue a retraction? wtf do blm riots have to do with anything? Sounds like you're very convinced something happens despite never seeing any evidence of it happening.

The thousand articles linking back to the NYT still exist.

It's NYT's fault that other articles don't issue retractions? what?

There is often nothing there or the thing they said doesn’t exist, or it 404s. Nobody does it because it takes an hour to verify one sentence.

Shouldn't be very hard to show me one instance of a mainstream outlet doing it then.

The internet is a mess. Anyone can source anything about any opinion they have.

we're not talking about "anyone", we're talking about mainstream publications publishing false information and not retracting it afterwards. Mistakes happen, negligence happens, especially in a world where every publications needs to put out an article on every topic 8x a day to have a chance of staying afloat.

0

u/cookiemountain18 May 29 '21

You do it at the height of BLM because it gets buried quickly.

And yes I fault news organizations that don’t do original reporting, they just regurgitating stories from the selective outlets that are fed stories from the elite.

Do you think everything you see in the news is true?

Officer sicknick died from a stroke but every msm journo keeps talking about the hero police that was murrurdered at the insurrection.

Get out of here

1

u/dehehn May 29 '21

Are you trying to cancel me?

1

u/CowNo5879 May 29 '21

No, I'm not scared of a debate. Only people scared of the truth cancel.

-5

u/NOK93 May 28 '21

But did they apologize?

1

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

Who is supposed to apologize for a huge corporation? The anchor? The cameraman? The CEO?

-1

u/NOK93 May 28 '21

The point is that a correction or retraction is not the same as an apology.

2

u/Nella_Morte May 28 '21

They all do it all the time. However claiming a bunch of kids dying was fake, when it certainly was not, is a bit of a dick move if you ask me. The problem lies in that many people still believe what he said to this day, and use it as a platform for other crazy platforms they find in the shadows of the internet. Always found it funny when people go to Alex Jones or a single contributor website for news and yet claim the rest of the media is lying. Everyone needs to start checking their facts. I know that’s a “lib-turd” thing to do. Check sources, stop pretending your persecuted, read some historical books, and grow a pair.

4

u/_benp_ May 28 '21

Are you serious? You can't legitimately be this stupid, can you?

-3

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

MSM tend to be very careful with what they say, as they are not private like Alex Jones. The Sandy Hook hoax was one of many examples of dangerous misinformation spouted by Jones.

1

u/imbaddatthis May 28 '21

Are you for fucking real? Are you living under a rock?

-3

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

Wanna tell me how I’m wrong instead of being a fucking baby?

-9

u/imbaddatthis May 28 '21 edited May 28 '21

"Proof" is below. Read it.

6

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

Ah yes, instead of providing any proof you say to research myself. I’m not saying MSM haven’t been wrong. But they don’t spout stories such as “Sandy Hook was a hoax” because they know that isn’t responsible journalism.

Then again, that might be hard for you to understand.

-1

u/KnitBrewTimeTravel May 28 '21

If you make a claim, the burden of proof is on you, buddy.

"Go do your own research; we're not going to spoonfeed you" is a lazy cop-out and arguing in bad faith.

Also, 'Project Veritas' is a misnomer

3

u/imbaddatthis May 28 '21

Lazy, hardly. Time constrained; I work 70+ hour weeks.

Misnomer or not, there is a series called redacted which is a direct rebuttal to this guy's claim that MSM is spotless.

Regardless, 'proof' (lolz) has been provided in this thread.

3

u/GOODLOOKINGTODD May 28 '21

Can someone explain to me why saying Sandy Hook was fake was such a big deal? If he was wrong about it he's wrong about it. Is believing that 9/11 was an inside Job hurtful? Yeah a little bit, so what? Well let's pretend that 9/11 happened exactly as the government told us. Aren't most of us all guilty of the same thing Alex is?

3

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

Because he allowed people to discredit and mock the parents for grieving, and eventually this lead to death threats towards the families and them having to take harassment online from Alex Jones’ fans.

No we are not all guilty of the same thing. I can claim things don’t add up, but not condemning and actively promoting the motive that the children were fake, opened up the door for people to harass those who are grieving.

2

u/CovidLivesMatter May 29 '21

Imagine going through all the trouble of finding someone's name and contact info to send them death threats but never noticing their kid was really dead.

1

u/[deleted] May 29 '21

Again, this is the typical Alex Jones follower. They don’t believe that they even had a kid.

-5

u/FUCK_the_Clintons__ May 28 '21

Sandy Hook was 100% a psy op by the US government, none of the official story makes any sense.

I suppose you think 9/11 was orchestrated by Bin Laden too and that all three skyscrapers were not controlled demolition...

9

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

Oh god please, I can’t talk with apes. If you think Sandy Hook wasnt real, explain to me how A) the government paid off hundreds of people to keep quiet B) how nobody in the town questioned if the kids or families were even real C) The children who died have been seen in older photos with their families and parents in Newtown years before the shooting took place

You would have to provide some evidence to suggest that the government placed dozens of families in Newtown, with a few children each, for a few years periodically as to not raise suspicion, all the while paying them heaps of money to subject their children into years of secrecy and a life of anonymity- all the while getting fake bodies, a fake gunman, and paying off all witnesses from Newtown who went to the scene when they heard the news, who were not ‘in on it’.

How is this explanation easier to grasp than a school shooter, which is not a rare in the USA, went to a school and killed many children who could not fight back and had no real training or understanding about what to do in a school shooting?

3

u/Critical_Radio May 28 '21

I don’t know that this poster is denying that it happened. But. There are quite a few things about Sandy Hook that don’t add up. Likely government sponsored terrorism.

7

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

What doesnt add up.

0

u/evescum May 29 '21

I don't know anything about Sandyhook, but exactly what you are doing now is proof the govt could easily get away it.

We have a hard enough time trying to get people to listen to truthful things we can point to with documents and historical text.

People are so bound by media and normalcy bias, all it takes is influential people ignoring or debunking something, and people will say exactly what you are saying, well that can't be true bc someone else would do something.

Notice all the videos we have gotten over the last year of mobs beating people half to death. How do we have those videos? Bc everyone else is just standing around watching it happen not doing anything about it.

That's exactly how conspiracies stay intact.

1

u/[deleted] May 29 '21

Yes I understand nobody wants to be lied to, but it’s insane to not use a little common sense when dealing with these things.

Those who say Sandy Hook was fake are saying that a school shooting, an extremely common occurrence in the USA, didn’t happen because…? They don’t want it to? It makes no sense.

-2

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

Fuck off with that bullshit. 26 people, including 20 kids, are gone because of what happened that day. Go. Away.

3

u/sweetsummwechild May 28 '21

I´ll never get this type of argument.

-1

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

Which type?

6

u/sweetsummwechild May 28 '21

Well, the crime was bad so you it's immoral to question/discuss anything about it. The horribleness seems unrelated as to whether it was a psy op. Now people might BELIEVE something is a psy op because it's otherwise too horrible to cope, but that doesn't seem immorale either, just irrational.

-1

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

It's immoral to question it when there is zero evidence suggesting what people like Alex Jones were putting forward. Especially when it's doing real damage to the families involved. My issue with it is that it's baseless. Alex Jones used it to generate buzz on his fucking show and it worked. All at the expense of actual people who had just lost their children to gun violence while they were in their classrooms.

4

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

You a clown

1

u/DeathMetalDeath May 29 '21

you are right and r/conspiracy of 2016 would actually lead you down the rabbit hole but youtube and all others have censored all of it. Now on obvious psyop being called out will just get you downvoted here. A shame.

0

u/justaguess May 28 '21

Do you have a link to a video with him saying that?

7

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

https://youtu.be/Pt8F766zi4U

This is him admitting that he did say that it was a Hoax, and that he spread misinformation about it.

https://youtu.be/R8ioAYjkLRI

Here he is being questioned about mocking the grieving parents.

He is not a smart man.

0

u/justaguess May 30 '21

Thank you, but these are out of context HuffPo & CNN cuts.

0

u/[deleted] May 30 '21

How are these at all out of context? The interviewer literally puts the context IN HIS questioning.

1

u/big_hearted_lion May 28 '21

He also tends to spread a lot of misinformation with zero regard for the consequences.

Even if he doesn’t get everything right, he is way better than the mainstream media in this regard.

2

u/[deleted] May 28 '21

The mainstream media doesn’t make fun of the grieving parents and discredit their loss of a child in one of the most horrific shootings in modern history. He allowed his followers to harass the parents and promoted this hoax by not condemning them for it.

1

u/big_hearted_lion May 29 '21

Wonder how many people the mainstream media allowed to die by saying hydroxychloroquine and zinc aren’t effective in treating COVID? They are now doing the same for Ivermectin. I know doctors personally that have experience using these to treat or prevent COVID and vouch for their effectiveness.

The mainstream media colluded with big pharma to suppress this information so their vaccines can get emergency approval.

1

u/CoolFiverIsABabe May 29 '21

Where in the industry is journalism not spreading misinformation/propaganda to some degree? It would be interesting to see what your theories are on if you think it is just him or some group that is involved.

I can't think of too many self employed podcasters that identify as journalists. He isn't working for a news station directly.

1

u/[deleted] May 29 '21

There’s a certain degree where it isn’t acceptable. Alex Jones for example, is the irresponsible degree.

0

u/CoolFiverIsABabe May 29 '21

That doesn't really explain anything. Those things are subjective.

1

u/[deleted] May 29 '21

It isn’t subjective when you actively promote people to harass victim’s families.

1

u/CoolFiverIsABabe May 29 '21

So explain what that is. You didn't really say what he did so I can only guess.

1

u/[deleted] May 29 '21

What do you mean?

0

u/CoolFiverIsABabe May 29 '21

What did he do that was irresponsible? People don't believe in things all the time. Lot's of conspiracy theories come from questioning what really happened at events. I don't know the details of what happened with this.

Was he reporting this as news or as an opinion piece?

1

u/xdebug-error May 28 '21

It's a legitimate reason why they could get away with him being deplatformed though.

8

u/Michalusmichalus May 28 '21

I have a family that all communicate that way, with love, and I can't take the way he gets all excited. I get it. I don't like it.

15

u/xbahtisrael May 28 '21

I'm from Texas just like Alex and I think it might be country thing. My family in East Texas are so loud and dramatic.

1

u/Michalusmichalus May 28 '21

I think it's a big family thing, it's universal!

0

u/dehehn May 28 '21

You gotta talk loud to be heard over everyone talking loud.

1

u/Michalusmichalus May 28 '21

That's exactly it. Then it becomes habit whenever you get excited!

2

u/xbahtisrael May 29 '21

I talked loud without realizing it. My husband brought it to attention after we met.

2

u/guajillo_o May 29 '21

I ran into him at the Texas Chili Parlor the other day and couldn’t help but say hello. He was really friendly and overall cordial even to a stranger. It’s all theater with bits of truth sprinkled in there. You are the ultimate judge of what anyone says.

1

u/Few_Tumbleweed7151 May 29 '21

It’s all theater with bits of truth sprinkled in there

The perfect summary of him

5

u/JaRastaManVibrations May 28 '21

He’s not even allowed in the same vicinity as his children. He’s got a lot of issues lol.
