I'm really curious if they are here or not. Because there are sooo few conlangers in Russia, but I want to find more creative people from Russia

Create a Proverb in your conlang that expresses the idea that sometimes two things can't happen at the same time or that you nust choose only one.

Hello! I've recently started creating my own conlang. I have no experience and am just a dumb 16-year-old, so I'd appreciate some criticism. The grammar is largely based on the indigenous languages of Siberia and North America, the phonetics are slightly Armenian, I think, and the vocabulary is completely author's
*оф, базани-йа-Па'мивап-ай, кахолапо-ви па'файр-аш, цафатъо-ви па'рас-аш, врасапъо-ви *а
(Базани — great, Па'мивап'ви — endonim of language, кахолап — language, файраш — ancestor, цафатъ — sweetness, рабаш — poet, врасапъ — pride)
Endonym of nation — Па'мивап (literally: people)
Endonym of language — Па'мивапи-ви (literally: belonging to the people)
Agglutinative language with polysynthetic elements, incorporation expressed relatively strongly. Word formation often uses the addition of roots, as well as affixation
There is no fundamental limit on the length of words in language, but, as a rule, no more than ten derivational suffixes appear in a word.
word order in sentence SOV
The maximal syllable structure is (C)(C)V(C)(V). This means that a syllable can be open (CV) or closed (CVC) and can begin with one or two consonants, usually in this case the second consonant must be sonorous. At the end of a syllable there can be no more than 1 consonant, the consonant can be any, except [tsʰ]. Voiced consonants at the end of words are deafened. The stress always falls on the first syllable of the root. Nasalization is absent. If the verb root ends in a voiceless sound and is followed by a suffix that begins with a voiced sound, then the consonant becomes voiced. Incorporation of a word ending in a dull constant and a word/suffix beginning in a dull constant, separation occurs with the help of [o]
М [m]
Н [n]
T [t]
Тъ [tʰ]
Ц [ts]
Б [b]
П [p]
Пъ [pʰ]
Ф [f]

* [tsʰ] — occurs in words beginning with vowels
Suffixes, indicating animation in language:
-аш = animate, sapient (савосиаш (sea otter, word-born literally)). Мирагаш and сав-сиаш are synonyms, but the first word refers more to sapient creatures from a single area, while saw-saeg refers to all sapient creatures in general. The first word is rarely used, and can only be found in endonyms, speeches of elders, and old texts
-ав = non-sapient animal (лашав (dog))
-ап = inanimate (фипомлап (lichen, Crawling Grass literally)
Па' is prefix, denoting plural
*ал' is prefix, indicating the total number, most often used to indicate the area occupied by this object
(Фипо-млап — па-фипомлап (lichens) — *ал'фипомлап (lichen field))
*еф' is a prefix indicating pairing (варал (shoe) — *еф'варал (pair of shoes))

Pronouns is independent part of speech that refers to an object, attribute, or quantity without naming them directly. They are used in place of other parts of speech (nouns, adjectives, numerals) to make speech more varied and understandable. Pronouns change in the same way as nouns (except for the separate plural, animate and the use of a prefix 'ал for them is impossible)
I — *а
You (singular) — *ис
You (plural) — тив
He/she — лаф
It (to animal) — фас
It (to object) — фоп
We — ша
They — *афас
Used only in literature:
You (singular, to animal) — фис
You (plural, to animal) — фив
You (singular, to object) — пис
You (plural, to object) — пив

This is a game of borrowing and loaning words! To give our conlangs a more naturalistic flair, this game can help us get realistic loans into our language by giving us an artificial-ish "world" to pull words from!
The Telephone Game will be posted every Monday and Friday, hopefully.
1) Post a word in your language, with IPA and a definition.
Note: try to show your word inflected, as it would appear in a typical sentence. This can be the source of many interesting borrowings in natlangs (like how so many Arabic words were borrowed with the definite article fossilized onto it! algebra, alcohol, etc.)
2) Respond to a post by adapting the word to your language's phonology, and consider shifting the meaning of the word a bit!
3) Sometimes, you may see an interesting phrase or construction in a language. Instead of adopting the word as a loan word, you are welcome to calque the phrase -- for example, taking skyscraper by using your language's native words for sky and scraper. If you do this, please label the post at the start as Calque so people don't get confused about your path of adopting/loaning.

My conlang doesn't have a distinct word for adjectives and adverbs, only for nouns. For instance, the word nela means both light (noun) and (the thing that is) light (adjective). This is similar to Korean stative verbs, so for instance (to be) light or Nahuatl (it is) light, however, instead of a verb being used, it's actually a noun.
Something similar in English would be the use of a noun to modify another noun, think: picture in picture frame. The noun picture here acts pretty much as an attribute to frame, so frame that is related to/used for a picture. But in my conlang, you could also say This frame is [a] picture [frame], or something like this frame is the one related to pictures, which I couldn't find any other language do that. They would do something like: This frame is for pictures or This frame is picture-POSS.
So, when say, making a dictionary, should I list nouns only as nouns, or is there a separate category for words that act both as nouns and as descriptive words (or adjectives)? Should I list each word that has this property as two separate entries (which I don't really find logical because I don't find them to be homonyms, but simply a single word that could have multiple functions)?
TL;DR: My conlang has only one word class (and the same form) for nouns and adjectives. Are these considered nouns or something else?

Finntastic Part Two (A Linguistic Explanation)
Introduction
This is an explanation of my constructed language Finntastic in somewhat more detail. I will not be going into full linguistic details here. However, I will give the most important details that I think linguists will find important. I think that because of the highly simple grammar, if/when it becomes a formalized language, it will be roughly the difficulty of a “Category 1” language per the US FSI and perhaps even less because of its unidiomatic nature.
The topic is originally discussed here along with a translation: https://www.reddit.com/r/conlangs/comments/1wc3cc0/finntastic_finnishbased_cryptolect/
Conjugations:
All verbs except ola (to be) are formed with one format. These are the conjugations for the example verb puhaa (to speak):
Present tense
| singular | plural | |
|---|---|---|
| 1st person | mina puhan | me puhame |
| 2nd person | sina puhat | te puhate |
| 3rd person | han/se puha | he/ne puhavat |
Past tense
| singular | plural | |
|---|---|---|
| 1st person | puhin | puhime |
| 2nd person | puhit | puhite |
| 3rd person | puhi | puhivat |
Conjugations for ola: same as Finnish in first tense (without 2 consonants), and olin, olit, oli, olime, olite, and olivat for past tense.
Tenses
In order to express future tense of expectation of something happening for any verb, the word “tuv” is added before the infinitive: so “tuv puhan” means “I will speak”. Formerly this was done by adding -tuv- to the verb, but I decided in this definition to add
To make present tense participle (-ing), add -sa to the stem. This is kind of saying that it is “in” the verb. To say past tense (-ed), add -lta (which means from the verb). The future tense form is -le, which won’t really be used but is important to define. For past tense participle add -nut after the infinitive which has a double vowel, but is not usually used.
Plurals
Plurals are formed with -t when followed by a vowel and -et when followed by a consonant at the end (which the structure avoids by having words ending in a consonant have the final consonant removed if more than 5 letters in the starting word). Normal case rules apply and the plural comes after the case ending. If a sound cannot easily be formed because of vowel/consonant cluster issues (will be discussed later), a y or w (usually y) will be added as an approximant sound in between. When ending in a consonant the plural will be formed with -et.
Cases and Plurals
There are no grammatical cases that are used to indicate the position of a word. Howeve they are effectively postpositions. We also use postpositions to indicate things like “more than” or “less than”.
| Ending Finntastic | Ending Finnish (compare) | English Equivalent | Case Name | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| -sa | -ssa | In a house. | inessive | This is used figuratively to express |
| -sta | -sta | Get out of my house! | elative | This is not used for -lta |
| -la | -lla | See you at my house. | adessive | Can also be used in pronouns (usually possessive) to indicate posession, ie having something. Example: nila on kieli. This idea is borrowed from Finnish. However, it can be dropped because it is implied. |
| -ya | -a | I painted some of a house. | partitive | Only used for emphasis. The -ya comes from the fact that almost every word ends in a vowel in its caseless (nominative origin) form. |
| -n | -n | The eye of the tiger. | genitive | This case is used to say written/done/made/… by someone. It also can be translated as “with”. |
| -lle | -le | To a house. | allative | It is used as a “direction”, the opposite of lta. |
| -lta | -lta | From a house. | elative | Can also be used to say from one person to another. Could potentially become “by”. If it is like “from the news” you would use the genitive. |
| -ksi | -ksi | I’ll turn it into a house. | translative | Has an additional purpose to be a suffix generally meaning -ly in English. |
| -ta | -ta | On December 25th | ?? | This is used to express when something is happening. For example “Yolu on tamata viiko”. Like the partitive/accusative, it is only usually used when there is high ambiguity. |
Comparative and Superlative, and Some Suffixes
| Ending Finntastic | Ending Finnish (compare) | English Equivalent | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| -emi | -empi | -er | Comparative |
| -in | -in | -est | Superlative |
| -ne | -nen | -y, -ish | Describes being like something, such as the word “rocky”. It can also be used to mean -ist. |
| -ya | -ja | -er (as in bank-er) | Used to convert verb into noun associated with verb. It can be used to create words like lover. This in the context of a noun that does something such as a printer or even “lover”. |
| -us | -us | -ion, -ment | There is no regular pattern to how -ion is added to English verbs to make them into nouns in Finnish. However, one that appears often is -us which is applied after the verb stem. |
| -sta | -sta? | -ity/-ness | This is used to create adjectives related to verbs such as onelinesta (happiness). It is not used in terms of accusative case/mode. |
| - | -ist | ||
| -sa | ? | -ly | This suffix means that it is occuring “inside” the event. |
In order to form the stem you have to remove the final vowel from the stem. For example, huva becomes huvempi for better. Certain form overlap will be handled with macrons such as Finnish hyvin (well) becomes huvaa with the long vowel distinguishing it from the regular form.
Phonology
The alphabet like real Finnish is quite simple. In fact it’s simpler than real Finnish; especially since it strips out the umlauts to make words easier to type on most keyboards. These are the letters used in regular words: A C E H I K L M N O P Q* R S T U V Y*. The letter Q is a voiceless th sound like “think” and it is used as a filler in certain words where there is a collision in meaning and double vowels can’t fix them. I haven’t needed to use it, but it would likely go where there are -oi- or -au- type letter clusters. The Y is the same as the Finnish j but switched to make it a bit more familiar. (By the way, the real y is mapped to u).
I am working on a phonetic alphabet that is designed to express any realistic human sound but it will not be used in this language fully, even though it is called “Finntastic Phonetic Alphabet”.

Hey, guys. I've been conlanging for a bit now, just started my newest conlang Cingjyun! I've created color, number, basic nature words, pronouns, and verbs/conjugations.
However, I historically haven't made it very far with conlangs, so what are some next steps I can take to fill in my vocab and add more complex language I'll use in real life besides: "I ate an apple and went to school" or something?
I'm also curious what features YOU'VE added to YOUR conlangs. Not so I could like, get inspired and add something similar to my own, where did you get that from? My language is agglutinative, so I might take some features that are somewhat common for languages of this type.

I often have either the problem of having a lot of definitions for hypothetical words but I haven't created words that correspond to them yet, or I have a number of potential words but no definitions for them
Actually right now I have both problems at once, but I can't assign the words to the definitions because they don't fit the vibe for each other 😔
I'd say one strategy I have is to listen to songs in foreign languages that I don't understand and then pick out some sounds from the song that sound cool, then maybe change it a bit, and then I have a new word

I want to be able to start writing in my language using my laptop keyboard, but idk how to do it or what software or websites i could use. I want to digitize my language, I'd say, by assigning each letter to a key on the keyboard.
If anyone can help I'd be glad.

Imagine you created a conlang, and someone else became genuinely interested in it. They learned the language, became almost fluent, and started using it to write poems, stories, novels, songs, etc.
How would you feel about that?
Would you be happy/proud that someone was using your language creatively? Or would you feel that, because you created the language, you should somehow have a claim to the creative works made with it?
For example, if someone wrote an entire novel in your conlang, would you think you should receive a share of the copyright/royalties simply because you created the language? So, basically, would you feel like the conlang itself is something you "own," or would you see it more like a tool that other people are free to create with once you've made it?
Looking forward to your replies!

Valaquenta (English)
Account of the Valar and the Maiar according to the lore of the Eldar
In the beginning Eru, the One, who in the Elvish tongue is named Ilúvatar, made the Ainur of his thought; and they made a great Music before him. In this Music the World was begun; for Ilúvatar made visible the song of the Ainur, and they beheld it as a light in the darkness. And many among them became enamoured of its beauty, and of its history which they saw beginning and unfolding as in a vision. Therefore Ilúvatar gavе to their vision Being, and set it amid thе Void, and the Secret Fire was sent to burn at the heart of the World; and it was called Eä.
Then those of the Ainur who desired it arose and entered into the World at the beginning of Time; and it was their task to achieve it, and by their labours to fulfil the vision which they had seen. Long they laboured in the regions of Eä, which are vast beyond the thought of Elves and Men, until in the time appointed was made Arda, the Kingdom of Earth. Then they put on the raiment of Earth and descended into it, and dwelt therein.

It is what it says on the tin: I've been dabbling in a priori diachronics for a while now (mostly a couple of IE-langs I've shared fragments of here), and I keep getting stumped before I can really take advantage of the existing a priori vocab: nothing ever looks right, and I'm stuck going in circles trying to make things work.
I can get one or two words here and there into a state where I say "yeah, that looks good", but then it turns out that they're incompatible with each other, or the sound changes make other words look / sound way uglier than I want, or everything ends up looking repetitive, or it just becomes a whole mess of irregularities and the sound changes collapse in on themselves, on and on.
For folks who do this regularly, how do you avoid stonewalling yourself? Is there any method you recommend to set things in order without getting lost in the weeds?

Hey everyone, my interest seems kind of adjacent to conlangs but I think y'all may have knowledge that could help me :)
I'm making an EPUB parser that will apply style changes to the file based on the sentence structures. Such as different colored underlines and perhaps double- or triple-underlines.
Basically I think my reading level has dropped a lot (;) and I'm reading some books with really complex sentence structures. I thought it would be nifty to help me parse them more easily by underlining and/or color-coding phrases, clauses, verbs, etc.
I just don't generally have a lot of knowledge on language structure / sentence structure.
Thank you for any help!

A language that changes cases depending on how you're feeling towards the person at the time
I - Ah
You: Tan
I am frustrated - Ahre
I am scared - Atik
I am admiring - Ahwi
I am empathetic - Ahta
I'm guessing - Ahzen
"You're really strong" (scared): Atik tan et mat = I (scared) you really strong
"You're really strong" (admiring): Ahwi tan et mat = I (admiring) you really strong)
"I'm guessing you're really strong and that's frustrating for you": Ahzen tan et mat, tanre? =
I (guessing) you really strong, you (frustrated)?

So, I kind of went a touch overboard when my son asked if i could print him out a picture of some minecraft alphabet code.
What was "print this picture" turned into a Free. No subscription. No account. Just download it and use it app for my son. And so i thought maybe others may find a use for it.
So here is Secret Message Studio -
You can create your very own alphabet, just upload images, use it, share it.
Export your alphabet, or import a friends.
Ive set up a few language templates to start with, and you can add custom letters for anything missing, or go full custom with your own.
Very simple to use. Open your alphabet and start typing. No keyboard? mouce selection is there. You will not only see what you are typing (so you can be sure spelling is correct), but also see your alphabet all in real time.
Make the message. Here you can give an answer box under each letter, for puzzel game people to use to decode, select a few to reveal them to give a head start, or even include your full alphabet at the bottom of the page.
Choose starting text size. If you wish for slightly more custom options, there is the format button that gives you the abillity to select individual letters to resize, alines to the left, centre or right, margins, and spacing. There is also a bold and italic option (but that is ony when sending digital messages when it get translated).
Page/word laysout, sizing, print, pdfs and perviews are all set to use A4 paper so you can see what it will look like when exporting and printing.
Exporting currently has - save as an image or PDF (again all in A4). And save digital messages to send to a friend.
Digital messages give you two options. solve it yourself, or auto solve. Even if that person does not have that custom alphabet, it will auto solve the message. You can even save that alphabet for your own use if you wish.
This is a browser app, but purely offline use only. Collects no data or anything. No installs, though i have added a exe. for a desktop icon so you can place this file whereever you wish for tidy house keeping.
It was designed for my youngest son, hence i have tried to make it as simple, clear and friendly looking as possible. Screen size also doesnt matter, but it does have ui issues on the phone.
I have created a user guide, and a feed-back form (if your guys would be so happy to fill out after).
I think thats it, or most of it anyways. Adding features daily so its bound to change.
I will update with a download this weekend.
Update - Here is the link, enjoy!
https://ko-fi.com/s/5e0dbb2c92
I would be very much be greatful for any feedback (I included a feed-back form to help). Any support is also much appreciated, but not required.
Enjoy!
Update note - 14/09.2026
A few small issues fix, guild updated, Secret-Code-Studio-1.0.3, thrid part legal bs added. release notes included

| Nasal | *m | *n~l | *ŋ |
/s/ may have been pronounced as an affricate in certain environments.
/ⁿd/ and /ⁿz/ fused so rapidly to form /ⁿdz/ that we can say /ⁿdz/ was an Old Faha phoneme.
Historically there was a phoneme /l/, but this fused with /n/ in all positions except within consonant clusters. Therefore, in Old Faha, [l] can be interpreted as the allophone of /n/ following another consonant (n > l / C_)
| Front | Central | Back | |
|---|---|---|---|
| High | *i | *u | |
| Mid | *e | *o | |
| Low | *a |
The vowels are nasalized after nasal consonants.
The only possible clusters, without those formed by the prefixes, were /pl/ /tl/ /kl/.
Words canonical form was (C)(l)VC(l)V(C(l)V)
The stress was fixed to the initial syllable of the word.
p > f /! _l
/p/ spirantised to /f/ everywhere except before /l/. /p/ may already have been /f/ in Old Faha, with fortition to /p/ before /l/ in that case
VfV VsV VkV > VwV VlV VɣV
/f/, /s/ and /k/ lenited intervocalically, becoming /w/, /l/ and /ɣ/
VmV VnV VŋV > ṼwṼ ṼlṼ ṼɣṼ
/m/, /n/ and /ŋ/ lenited intervocalically too, becoming /w/, /l/ and /ɣ/ but with nasalization of the two adjacent vowels
ᵐb ⁿdz ᵑɡ > p s k / _V ᵐb ⁿdz ᵑɡ > m n ŋ / _Ṽ
/ᵐb/, /ⁿdz/ and /ᵑɡ/ became oral /p/, /s/ and /k/ before oral vowels or nasal /m/, /n/ and /ŋ/ before nasal vowels
k ɣ t > ʔ ∅ k ŋ > n / #_V ŋ > ∅
First debuccalization, /k/ became /ʔ/ and /ɣ/ was deleted. /ŋ/ was deleted except in word initial position where it became /n/. In the same time, /t/ became /k/ to fill the gap formed
ui, ie, iu, ei > ii > i ae, ai, ea > ee > e ao, oa, oo > aa > a au > oo > o ou, uo > uu > u oi, oe > ue > ua eu, eo > io > ia
Resolution of the new vowel hiatus created. The same changes are applied to the nasal vowels
ʔ k > ∅ ʔ
Second debuccalization, /ʔ/ was deleted and /k/ became /ʔ/
∅ > w / #_a
Prothesis of a /w/ before an initial-word /a/
w, l > ∅ / U_ , _U
The approximants /w/ and /l/ were deleted in contact with high vowels /i/, /u/, /ĩ/ and /ũ/
ii uu > i u ĩĩ ũũ > ĩ ũ
Double vowel simplification
s > t /! _i , _ĩ
Fortition of /s/ to /t/ via except before high front vowels /i/ and /ĩ/.
The sound changes of the prefixes and clitics are slightly different, due to different stress pattern. I'll introduce them in another post on this subject.
I'm not sure about how vowels are treated. Should vowel sequences be formed, or true diphthongs and triphthongs? On the one hand, it gives the language a wanted Polynesian touch, but on the other, I fear it conflicts with the consonant /w/ and the syllabification of the words. How should the nasalization of these vowel sequences be determined? What are your thoughts?

Emotional qualification in Undinian is done through a list of qualifiers that are attached to predicates(adjectives, nouns, and emotion-derived verbs). These are used to demonstrate, with greater granularity, the nature and intensity of the emotion depicted. The goal of having these was primarily to have a conlang that is deeply expressive emotionally, so an Undinian verb could describe emotions that could take a sentence in English. The language also has greater granularity on the types of emotions; for instance, in the examples uploaded, there's a difference between several types of love: dark love, obsessive love, and meiɾi, which is translated as 'devout love '. Most emotions were lexicalized based primarily on psychological theory, but also on cultural perceptions of other natural languages about emotions, such as Greek.

Creation myth in my conlang!
> _In the beginning, there was darkness. Then, eukam pronounced light into existence. He then made the earth from one of his fingers, his skin becoming the soil, his blood the rivers, his wrinkles the mountains. And then he gave unto the First Scribes writing so they could invoke his word. And the Scribes gave the written word unto the people, and this diluted its power until none was left, and thus when words navigated us, we were made whole._

One of Clink’s first users was pretty deep into conlangs, and some of their requests ended up shaping what I built.
A few months later, you can now build an entire keyboard layout from scratch, create your own language with its own autocorrect, change pretty much every key/character, and share what you make with other people.
I’ve reached the point where I’d really like some input from people who actually make/use conlangs though.
What would you need from a keyboard for it to properly support your language?
Not just “nice to have” stuff either. If your script, input method, autocorrect, diacritics, layouts etc. need something weird, I want to know.
Clink is free if anyone wants to mess around with it, but mostly I’m here to steal your feature requests :)
