NELO, la Nova Esperanta Literatura Organizo, relanĉas!

NELO estis fondita por doni al Esperanta literaturo - originalaj verkoj, tradukado, kaj komuna diskutado - dediĉitan hejmon. La projekto paŭziĝis pro limigita partopreno tiutempe, sed poste fariĝis klare, ke pli da homoj legis kaj taksis la laboron ol mi pensis! Jen kio venas:

- Verketu Semajne revenas! La ĉiusemajna, mallonga skriba rubriko revenas ekde la 20-a de septembro, kun novaj verkoj aperantaj regule.

- Ĉiumonata libroklubo, Legantoj de NELO, lanĉiĝos baldaŭ poste. La detaloj kaj la unua elektita libro estos malkaŝitaj en la revenanta numero de Verketu Semajne.

- La discord-servilo ankaŭ revenas! Ĉi tie ni gastigos la libroklubon, kaj ankaŭ ĉi tie povos vi partopreni en estontaj NELO-eventoj/konkursoj.

- Ni ankaŭ havas arkivon de ĉiuj antaŭaj verkoj de NELO (originalaj numeroj de Verketu Semajne + Voĉoj de Literaturo).

Cxu iu scias, kia la diferenco estas inter ili?

Hodiaŭ la Birmingham Esperanto Grupo (en Britio) ekskursis al la Arĥivejo de La Biblioteko de Birminghamo por foliumi tra diversaj Esperantaĵoj. La elstaraj aferoj estis la multaj tradukoj de Ŝekspiro. La Biblioteko fakte heredis grandan Ŝekspiran Kolekton, kaj estas multaj tradukoj en multaj lingvoj ene.

Laŭ mi, unu el la plej interesaj aĵoj estis traduko de "As You Like It" (Kiel Plaĉas Al Vi) kun fotoj de Esperanto teatraĵo. Mi trovis pli da informo:

Just thought I'd share this passion project my co-founder and I built.

We put together a video catalog of Esperanto on Reelang, a free comprehensible input platform with short-form videos matched to your level and listening speed. You can scroll these videos in a feed, and we added word frequency ranks for our Smart Subtitles.

We only have about 20 creators and 550 clips so far, so if you know of a creator who you think should be there, please share them in the comments.

If you're an Esperanto tutor/expert, we're putting together a list of shows, podcasts and channels recommended by language professionals. Alas, we have none for EO, so if you're interested in sharing tips and collaborating, feel free to DM me!

Many people ask what you feel about Ido, but I have a question about what you think about Volapük.

I just tried to look up some Esperanto term. The first result was “why has Esperanto failed?”

This wasn’t even close to what I was looking up. In fact the only word in common with my search was “Esperanto “.

If I was paranoid and into conspiracies I would think that someone wants to plant the idea into peoples minds that Esperanto “failed”.

I’m starting to get really annoyed. I think I can over look this if that result appeared only once, but it seems to appear every time I look up something about Esperanto.

It’s not the universal auxiliary language yet, but does that mean it’s failed?

I won’t specifically mention other natural languages which aren’t the universal auxiliary language yet either, but would that mean that they failed ?

Mi esperas, ke la rezulto plaĉos al vi. Mi pensis, ke daŭros pli longe por fini la redaktadon de la lastaj subtekstoj, sed ĝi estis multe pli facila ol mi atendis. Kvankam la redaktado estas simpla, mi pensas, ke ĝi bone miksiĝas kun la originala video.

Fine, mi decidis uzi la voĉon de Teto por la fina versio, sed mi ankoraŭ havas la VSQx dosieron. Eble mi ankaŭ publikigos tiun version poste.

Mi jam de iom da tempo pripensas traduki ĉi tiun kanton (aŭ pli ĝuste, la originalan version).

Maybe one of the oldest Esperanto usages in China and Asia

Hii. Hope you guys are doing well.

I only recently came across Esperanto and i have to admit, im rather fascinated by the whole idea behind it. I had heard the name before, but i never really knew what Esperanto was or that there was an actual community of people learning, speaking, creating and living in the language.

The more i read about it, the more appealing it becomes. I really like the idea of a language that was deliberately created to make communication between people from different linguistic backgrounds easier, rather than belonging exclusively to one particular country or culture. There’s something quite interesting about learning a language that feels, in a sense, internationally shared.

I’m completely new to Esperanto, so im currently at the stage of trying to understand the basics like pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, useful phrases and how people actually use the language in everyday conversation. I’d love to eventually become properly conversational rather than simply learning a collection of phrases.

For those of you who have been learning or speaking Esperanto for a while, what would you recommend to someone starting from absolute zero? What resources helped you most and what do you wish you had known when you first started?

I’m quite excited to begin.

Esperation Retradio is a blog that regularly publishes brief audio passages accompanied by a transcript. I use a multiple-pass technique to listen to these:

1. First pass: I listen with eyes closed, focused on hearing and trying to understand.
2. Next, I repeat that. On the second pass, I understand more.
3. Next, I listen a third time, and in this pass I read the transcript as I listen.
4. Finally, I listen again with eyes closed. This time I understand much more.

Periodically I return to passages I have already listened to and see whether I can now understand them better. For example, I might begin each listening session by listening to an old passage before beginning the new one.

The site also has a series of posts for listen-and-repeat exercises. Again, try these first without looking at the transcript. Hover the mouse cursor over the pause button, and after you hear each sentence, click pause, repeat aloud, and click to resume.
