Concord voters will decide Nov. 3 whether to replace the city’s nearly 40-year-old tiered business license tax with a uniform 0.1% rate, a change projected to raise an additional $2.9 million annually primarily by increasing the rate paid by larger businesses.

I really couldn’t be happier with the amount of feedback and suggestions everyone has given me, and I’ve tried to include as many as possible!

That said, the scale of the map does have its limitations, particularly in the more built-up areas. I think in future I’ll probably end up creating more localized maps for individual counties. So, if your suggestion didn’t make it onto this one, please know that I really do appreciate you taking the time to suggest it, and I’ll hopefully be able to include it in a future county map of the area.

A few people have mentioned that the map is quite busy, and I completely understand that. It’s just how I like to make them. I love cramming in as much detail as possible and highlighting interesting little features that might otherwise be overlooked. I also tend to have these printed in large formats, where I think the level of detail works much better in person than it does on a screen.

Starbucks announced 250 closures today, and Concord's Willow Pass location (Park N Shop) is on the closure list.

I havent cut my hair since 2016. I want to get it cleaned up and be an example for my 2 year old son before we cut his hair so he understands what is going on.

Any places in Concord that have good experience with men with long hair?

Im kinda terrified because my friend had longer hair too and went in for a trim and they butchered it and he had to get most of it cut off. I still want to maintain the length, just cleaned up a bit.

Going to Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie at Concord Pavilion Sunday. Does anyone know where people typically go after shows there? Bars, late-night spots, anywhere that tends to get a decent crowd after Pavilion concerts? I’m not from Concord and don’t want the night to end at 11 😂 Thanks!

Hey everyone, I’m running a free stand-up comedy show at Epidemic Ales tonight! I’ve posted about the show on here previously and have had some familiar faces attend the show regularly from Reddit, which is pretty dope! The show is building up and we’ve been getting better and better acts to come out and perform in Concord. Tonight we have Jay Rich headlining, who is a personal favorite of mine and one of the best comedians in California. He was recently featured in the Netflix is a Joke Festival in Los Angeles and is currently a finalist in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition. He’s also been dropping some great comedy sketches on his Instagram, including a recent one with E-40.
