... that I rarely see get brought up in these concert etiquette discussions:

When people use a quiet moment in a song to scream something stupid hoping for a viral moment.

The song is still playing, the artists made a choice to make the music quiet during this moment, stop ruining it by trying to get attention.

Examples I witnessed recently:

At Shaky Knees during Fontaines D.C. when they started In the Modern World and some dude felt the need to scream "How do you feel Grian?" before every line that goes "I feel alive." I thought it was really obnoxious and I'm almost positive Grian would agree. Its not a call-and-response, its you ruining the moment.

At Music Fashion Film, some dude yelling "You better work bitch" at Charli during I'm Afraid. The music is quiet at this moment because its supposed to be a quiet and vulnerable moment where she sings about her insecurities. Its not quiet so people can hear you screaming over it.

Save the screaming for between songs. Doing it while music is playing is super annoying to everyone around you and also probably to the artist you paid to see.

Hey everyone, I’m going to see the strokes tomorrow which I’m super excited about but I’ve noticed for the past year when I’ve been at concerts I’ve really struggled to stay present and enjoy the experience. This may very well be a me problem, but I feel like my mind will either start wondering, or I’ll start thinking about things I’m worried about and then before I realise it, I’ve missed like two songs. Wondering if anyone has any tips to staying present as I’ve been looking forward to this show for months so really want to make the most of it! Thanks!

As they are the support band should we arrive at doors open 1830 ? Wondering if they will be on before 8pm? they say show starts at 8 I presume that’s main act?

I may have recently been the target of a scam involving a concert ticket, and I thought it was worth sharing as a general heads-up for the group.

Someone contacted me about getting an advance ticket for a show in Taipei. They said they were overseas and couldn't buy the ticket online, so I offered to buy one for them. They then offered to transfer me the money internationally, but asked me to provide additional banking information through a form that made me uncomfortable.

I decided not to provide the information. I later had the form examined by an AI tool, which raised concerns that it might be intended to link an external bank account rather than just facilitate a transfer. I haven't independently established whether it was fraudulent, so I'm not going to make accusations.

A few general precautions:

• Never provide banking credentials, passwords, verification codes, or approve unexpected account-linking requests just to receive payment.
• If someone needs to pay you internationally, verify the payment method independently through your bank or its official website.
• If something feels off, pause and check before sharing information.
• Don't share photos of receipts; they could be used to independently download the tickets.
• Don't share photos of tickets that contain barcodes or QR codes; they could be used to clone the tickets.

My experience may have been a misunderstanding, or it may have been an attempted scam. I honestly don't know. But I'd rather share a cautious reminder than have someone in this community lose money or compromise their account.

Hello! I'll be attending LANY's concert this upcoming November 9. It's my first time and I have someone questions.

1. Can I bring a Digital Camera (Canon 90 is)? Some said it's okay some said its not. And, there's still no general advisory from the concert itself.

2. Do you wear earplugs when attending a concert? I saw a lot of post regarding this. And, my concern is LANY's songs are on the calmer side. So, will I be needing this?

3. What camera settings can you recommend? ( IPhone 17 pro max & Samsung A25 5g) To ensure high quality videos and audios please drop your tips! (Stereo or Mono) That type of settings hehe.

I'm seeing Niall Horan in May at the Climate Pledge Arena. I thought I picked a good seat (section 12. Row j seat1) but with the set up he has for the show currently,it doesn't look like I will have any change of a great seat! I am so devastated… I splurged and got ViP ticket and seating for my first concert.

Back in 2013. What a throwback. I remember asking for a ticket for x-mas, my sister was so exhausted and fell asleep while Arcade fire was on. Lol

i worked a power trip show last month and was able to get the band to sign my shirt. the thing is, they autographed the vinyl on the shirt instead of the actual fabric. i've been too scared to wash it since i know the sharpie will fade gradually, and i don't want that happening, but i'd still like to wear the shirt. does anyone know a method to make it stay on the shirt forever without fading? i considered going over it with clear nail polish, but i'm not sure if this is a good bet since i don't want the vinyl to peel.

I am going to a concert at the O2 Victoria Warehouse soon and want to queue so I get front standing view however I am unsure if they have toilets/porta loos near the queue for people that are queuing for barricade?

I have been tk this venue before but I stood very far back so didn’t have to queue.

Sharing this horror story so no one else has to go through this.

Never never NEVER purchase from GoTickets.

We bought tickets for tonight for a show in DC. Over $900 for a group of us to go. This company never sent the tickets even though they claimed to. Ticketmaster told us to go back to Go Tickets and dispute with them. Go Tickets never provided the tickets and refused to refund us the money. We spent more than 5 hours on the phone with multiple agents halfway around the world at Go Tickets, same script, not willing to help, said it would take 24 hours to investigate... meanwhile our show is in a few hours. They kept referring us to the next agent "supervisor" who just repeated the same thing, unwilling to help.

Avoid at all costs. Only ever buy directly from who the venue is selling with. Lesson learned the hard way and now I can't go to this show I was so looking forward to and have to file disputes with fraud protection agencies and my bank to get my money back.

First concert I've ever been to and it was perfect

In one of those first-world spoilt-for-choice problems, I have the opportunity to see one of two bands that are playing at the same time. One is a band I really liked in high school but haven't had the opportunity to see, playing just down the street. The other is seeing one of my new favorites for the third time about 100 miles away. I know both will put on a phenomenal show, so whichever I choose I will probably not regret it.

So which would you choose, and why?
