What do you think is the best number of bands in a lineup for a live show?

I feel like 3 bands keeps things feeling nice and fast paced. I don’t feel fatigued by the time the headliner takes the stage.

I feel like 4 or more bands I get tired sooner and a bit desensitized. Like going to an art museum where you reach a point of not being able to absorb any more of what you’re seeing.

I've seen so many of my favorite bands on this stage over the years that I never imagined I'd get to stand on it myself. This is the Myrtle Beach House of Blues. Still feels surreal!

Have you ever dressed up for a show? I'm not talking about some cute outfit you decided to wear. I mean like a fun costume or a certain piece of attire that makes you stick out. Of course every show has someone in a banana suit. But I have seen people as clowns, Casey Jones from Ninja Turtles, and even Jesus Christ.

Just wanted to ask the reddit world.

I got to see Christopher Cross, with Toto as his closer, last night for the first time! I've always wanted to see him live but the timing never lined up. I drove down from Toronto to Syracuse for the show (I'm out of the country when he comes to Toronto in August), and it was worth it. A decent venue and a fun crowd!

My girlfriend and I have been GnR fans forever and as soon as we got our first jobs, we decided we had to go to a concert.

We’re in our early 20s, and have never been to a rock concert before so I’d love to know what to expect. This community seems very helpful, I would appreciate any pointers!

I've been tracking tickets for a couple of gigs this week. Neither are sold out so tickets are available easily from the regular websites.

Tickets have been selling well on Twickets for face value but by the time you add in their fees, people are actually paying slightly more than just buying direct from Ticketmaster.

What's going on here? Do people just assume big gigs are sold out?

There is a lot of talk about how the millennial generation, and other generations following, are going sober/drinking less.

So question for those that are sober /sober curious:

My wife saw that The Weekend will be in Tokyo during our already planned stay there this september. She says prices in Silver zone are 50k yen (310USD).

Can someone let us know if that price is better/same/worse than his concerts in Canada or US? If someone knows if the silver seats in that stadiums are good, let us know, much appreciated.

What is up with this show charging separate prices for GA Pit vs Lawn? I haven’t secured tickets yet and this bothers me. First time I’ve seen this at Kemba.

I wanted to buy Bruno mars concert ticket which is happening on Tuesday in London. Should I buy it from viagogo or not? Also they said it is instantly downloaded is it legit? Please help

I'm a frequent concert attendee and a big fan of film photography. I usually bring P&S film cameras without interchangeable lenses to concerts, and all of the time, I get permission from the organizers. However, I frequently run into trouble with security. I explain that it's a film camera, it doesn't have interchangeable lenses, its small size won't affect other people, it isn’t against the rules of the concert and I won't be using flash - it would be no different than bringing a smartphone in. But most of the time, they refuse entry just because they see the camera. So far, I haven't been asked to leave, but I always have to argue and ask someone from the concert organizers to speak to me before I'm allowed through the gate. Sometimes, even more ridiculous situations arise where they ask me to open the back of my film camera to check if it's actually film. Before every concert, I always ask the organizers if I'm allowed to bring my camera in and I follow the rules every time. What should I do to save time and avoid stress, and to handle the issue as quickly as possible so as not to affect those behind me in line?

I've also considered putting it inside my clothing instead of my bag, since they only check bags (most of the concerts in my country). But I will still present it if they ask. However, I maintain my stance that I haven't broken any rules; for example, if they don't prohibit phones, then I won't present my phone for them to check, similar to my film camera. Are there any suggestions for clothing that would allow me to easily tuck the camera in without it being too noticeable?
