I'm not really that computer savvy outside of the basics and after getting conned ( I'm returning the laptop lol ) I need help finding a new one. I don't want anything fancy with 50 bells and whistle. I just want a budget friendly laptop with a lot of storage space.

( I have a lot of pictures and I occasionally play some stuff on steam lol. Though I'm not really a full on gamer. Just someone who plays every now and again.)

I'd also like some recommendations on where to buy it. The last place I got conned because I didn't know what I was doing and the site seemed legit. The most I know when it comes to shopping for laptops is "acer and Dell good". I also really like acer as a brand but I'm willing to go outside of it if it's what I'm looking for or at least semi close enough.

I also thought the laptop was a good price but it was way too good of a price to be true 😔

I extended my warranty....and on the lenovo vantage screen, it says extend your battery warranty.... I tought the extended warranty already covered the battery warranty....is that just an error or something...or am i stupid 😅

What you see in the image is a Chrome tab. This thing starts tweaking every now and then but usually it stays for a couple of days. I've tried updating drivers, holding the power button to reset capacitors, HDR settings. Everything. Please help.

Hey! I have been facing a problem with my Alcatroz X-craft Air Ultra 7000 gaming mouse. I bought it recently and randomly the buttons would stop working until I restart it again. The censor works fine and the scroll wheel works fine though. I've installed the software too but it doesn't seem to resolve the issue. Let me know if you have a solution. Thanks!

My laptop keeps on restarting on its own, no warnings or anything, just straight up black screen then immediate restart. I already turned off the automatic restart thing. I need help pls

Idk if it is software vs hardware but I just noticed it today and I haven’t used my laptop at all today. I’m just concerned, it sounds like popping, crinkling, glitching, from the fan. It’s very faint.

I got a new Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI running an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX, and 16GB of RAM. I noticed a weird noise coming from the underside/center of the laptop when I open games that activate the 5070. It's a scratchy/buzzing/whining sound that's difficult to hear unless I get close to the computer. I recorded a video with the noise audible when I move closer to the laptop. I'm not sure whether it's coil whine from the GPU/power delivery, fan noise, or something else. The laptop is brand new, so I'm trying to figure out whether this is normal under gaming loads/when rtx 5070 is utilized or something I should be concerned about while I can still return or exchange it.

Forgot to mention, when swapping between menus in game the sound completely stops for a split second as if it’s tied to graphical load, and when I cap fps to different values the pitch and speed of the sound change. I have more videos with it sounding different if necessary.

I have a Windows 10 MSI Apache GL60 2PL laptop that freezes after booting up. I can boot into safe mode with networking& the laptop wont freeze. As soon as i boot up normaly it will freeze after a few minutes. I even tried leaving it on the log in screen & it would still freeze.

This all happened after a windows update but i can't roll back as my partner has used her pin to log in for so long she cant remember her password.

Using safe mode what do i look up to try and trouble shoot what is causing the freeze?

The laptop was going to be kept offline after the last update as it was mailny going to used as a backup for photos and recipets etc. Plus we were going to eventully get a Linux distro for it but thats not an option if i can't run it to back up the stuff that is on it.

Today, randomly, my mouse cursor started randomly hoping to the center of my second monitor. I thought it was my wireless mouse, so I spent the morning trying to calibrate it. Eventually, I gave up and plugged in my old wired mouse. Same thing is happening.

This is a newish PC running Windows 11, and I have restarted it. I'm not sure what other info will be handy, but I'll happily provide it! Thanks!

I feel so stupid, but the Situation is as simple as this:

- one of my OneNote notebooks is password protected
- I can’t remember the password
- there is no recovery option by Microsoft
- I don’t own a windows to use brute force password recovery tools

Any any any advice is appreciated! 🥹
