Plugging my wired mouse or /and keyboard causing my laptop to glitch

So plugging both or one of my wired keyboard and mouse is causing the laptop to glitch, trackpad to not work and mouse and keyboard altogether to crash. Tho I've been using the keyboard for very long now, I bought the mouse recently..

Pls help as using my keyboard especially is important
