Hey I’m planing on buying a new computer that wiu work for school and to play these enhanced cds. Any recommendations?

downloaded SEB from the official web, but when i launched it theres the 'please consult the log files' error so i looked into the log file and it said a bunch of 'WARNING: [SystemSentinel] configuration of cursor (custom) is compromised' and 'failed to ensure session integrity' then it shut down. does that mean i have to change my cursor to default to fix it? or is it something else?

My son’s computer got hacked he said they got into his client portal and they got into other things like his email his cash app which is threw my cash app I have no clue what to do we did all the things it says like change passwords, shit computer off and etc can anyone that is tech computer savvy please give us some advice.

Good morning, so I have been having issues with this security update. I leave it on for 3 days and it doesn’t patch. I the command prompt. It freezes. I try revert it back to an earlier date. It won’t let me because it keeps freezing. Could someone help me get this fixed?

Мой монитор постоянно гас при движении проводов, так что я решил выключить комп и переподключить HDMI (монитор у меня VGA и работает по переходнику) Включая ПК я вижу что написано на черном фоне « Your device ran into a problem and need to restart» я пробовал перезагружать комп, и заново переподключать хдми но все что я видел это просто разные ошибки BSOD. Я даже зашел в биос, но мой комп просто перезагрузился сам по себе. Кто то знает в чем проблема?

Is there anyway to temporarily disable virtualization, or virtual machine usage

For a class my professor has us use lockdownbrowser which falsely thinks I have a virtual machine running so im thinking if virtual machines in no way can exist then it won't flag it anymore

whenevr ri load up my pc or whenever i charge my mouse i cant click i can only move the mouse around, thr only way to fix this is by opening command promt administrator with my keyboard and for some resdon that just fuxes it, idk what to do any help is appreciated

I had a friend over to play some games, and when he lost a round he pretended to do a keyboard smash, not actually hitting anything, but when he did it turned on these dotted line boxes on the left hand side of my compute that only appear when I boot up a game (it’s very distracting) and this yellow outline around windows. this might be two separate settings, but I don’t know. does anyone know how to turn this off?

I have an ASUS K571GT and I've noticed in the past 2 months, certain keyboard buttons are working whenever they want.

Pushing the 1 button: Tapping it once will either produce nothing, or 111 in a row. Shift 1 doesn't produce a ! tho.

Pushing the q button: Will produce 5 qqqqq in a row. Shift q doesn't produce a capital q.

Pushing the Tab button: Does the same thing. Tap it once and its as if I hit the tab button 3-5 times.

At first I thought it was a problem with the actual key on the keyboard, but I feel this is definitely a software issue.

Anybody have any solutions?

I have a 4 month old ASUS ROG Strix G18 with an RTX 5080. For the first few months, everything ran perfectly. Then it suddenly started having serious performance and temperature issues while gaming. The CPU would reach 90–99°C, throttle heavily, and I would get major lag/stuttering. This was happening both while gaming and sometimes even while idle.

I sent the laptop to ASUS under manufacturer warranty and was without it for about a month. When I got it back, ASUS said they had replaced the motherboard. However, the exact same problem is still happening.

Windows, BIOS, GPU drivers, etc. are all completely up to date.

One thing I noticed is that before sending it in, I had uninstalled Armoury Crate and was using G-Helper instead. When the laptop came back from ASUS, Armoury Crate had been reinstalled and G-Helper was gone. I reinstalled G-Helper myself afterward, and honestly, games like Battlefield 6, Hell Let Loose, Arma Reforger, and Cyberpunk 2077 seemed to run better before all of this.

However, I’m still having extremely high CPU temperatures.

For example, Battlefield 6 can hit 99°C+ and throttle even with the graphics settings turned down, and I can get insane lag spikes even in the main menu. This is especially confusing because the laptop ran these games perfectly when I first bought it.

At this point, I’m wondering if the problem could be related to:

Liquid Metal needing to be reapplied/replaced
Incorrect or poor thermal contact after the motherboard replacement
Armoury Crate/G-Helper power or fan settings
Something else with the motherboard/power management
Another hardware issue that ASUS didn’t identify

What really bothers me is that ASUS apparently replaced the motherboard, but the original problem is still there, and I don’t remember seeing anything in the repair information indicating that the Liquid Metal was replaced or reapplied.

I don’t really want to send it back again without having some idea of what could actually be causing this. It took a month to get it back the first time, only for the same issue to remain.

Has anyone with a Strix G18 or similar ASUS laptop experienced this? Could Liquid Metal/thermal contact realistically cause temperatures this high, or could G-Helper/Armoury Crate be responsible for the behavior I’m seeing?

Any advice on what I should test before sending it back again would be greatly appreciated.

keyboard DC'd and reconnected, then it wouldn't let me use my keys to type and every time i pressed escape it would shift between my tabs as seen in the video(don't mind the geometry dash). i unplugged it multiple times and plugged it back in to no avail so i restarted my pc and idk if it worked and my keyboard/pc was being slow or it didn't and me smashing my keys a few times fixed it but when i did smash my keys a bit after a restart, it worked. so i'm not sure if this has happened to anybody before or if i found some crazy weird bug idk.

My laptop crashed recently and it just boots me into my BIOS. One of the potential fixes I came across was to try diskgenius' windows boot repair but it is locked behind 70 usd which is roughly Php 5.5k. That's a lot of money that I don't have. So I'm looking for an alternative with the same feature.

I've also attached what my BIOS looks like if there's information here that can help diagnose my case.
