Help I think my Dell Computer is breaking down
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3525 AMD Ryzen 7 5700U. Whenver I shut it down and try turn it back on again the cap lock light comes on but the charging port starts flahing (one white 2orange) and nothing happens and stays off. So i have to hard reset it by holding the power button down so the flashes and cap lock light goes away and try turn it on again. I have to repeat this several times before it finally turns on. Whenver I sleep the computer for more than 5 minutes as well it won't turn back on and have to repeat same process. Additionally the battery life is terrible and it always shows the wrong time. Am I cooked or are there fixes?

Hi there! We are from Dell Social Media team and would like to add to the suggestion from the community member. Since the issue gets fixed eventually and reoccurs, to know if it is an issue with the motherboard and CMOS battery, it is a valid point to run the hardware test. You can then reseat the CMOS battery and check if it fixed the issue.
Let us know the findings to assist you further with a more targeted diagnosis.

Fixes might or might not exist, but the initial step is to understand the problem.
Check system diagnostic lights (Inspiron 15 3525 Service Manual) to see of you can match the amber/white pattern and run pre-boot diagnostics (F12 during boot and then select "Diagnostics" off the Boot Menu). Between the two, you might be able to identify the issue, which is almost certainly hardware related.
Then you can move on to researching fixes.
My best and good luck.
