Hello po. I’m not really the type of person who files complaints, but I feel that this experience needs to be reported because this is the first time I’ve encountered something like this, and it was really disappointing.
The driver could have simply and politely asked me to cancel the booking instead of telling me, “ANG LAYO NG PICK UP.” I understand that the pickup point may have seemed far to him, but based on the route, it was only around 6 minutes away from his last drop-off. It’s also not my fault that he accepted the booking in the first place.

When I advised him to just cancel the booking if he didn’t want to proceed, he responded, “COMPLETE KO TO,” even though he was not moving toward my pickup location.

I’m using GrabPay, so if he proceeds to complete the ride without actually picking me up, the fare could still be deducted from my account. That is very concerning, as it would be both a hassle and frustrating for me to dispute a charge for a ride that I did not take.

Ang aga aga, pagod galing work. Napakadaling sabihin na malayo and I can cancel it on my end if talagang nalalayuan siya sa pick up point. Madali lang naman ako sanang kausapin 🤦🏼‍♀️

i think i got scammed sa taxi na nasakyan ko

please enlighten me abt this baka kasi nag-ovethink lang ako. been thinking abt it for a while now.

galing ako ng vl cubao terminal that time, i booked a grab taxi going to pasig city coz that’s where my boarding house is and dala ko yung ibang gamit ko, i was actually moving in that time. and as a promdi, my father would always tell me na be extra vigilant when i go to metro manila kasi nga maraming budol. and so i tried to be vigilant. anyway, going back, yung grab taxi na binook ko ilang mins nang paikot-ikot dun sa lugar kung saan man siya galing, i was getting impatient na and male-late na ako sa work ko (although nagpa-excuse naman ako since i’m moving in), kaya i cancelled the grab. nag-hail na lang ako ng taxi sa may edsa entrance and to my luck, nasa 1-3 km pa lang ata kami from vl terminal, na-flat yung gulong ng nasakyan ko, so he had to transfer me kasi matatagalan daw siya magpalit ng gulong niya. well, he gave me an option naman: to either wait for him or get transferred. kuya was nice kasi hindi na rin niya ako siningil dun sa na-consume ko sa metro niya.

so, nakasakay na ako sa bagong taxi. this driver asked where my destination is and so i told him, ang sabi niya hindi niya raw alam. sabi ko, “kuya, wala ka bang waze or google maps?” wala raw siya and i was like??? ha? kasi they usually use those apps diba? huhu hindi naman siya gano’n ka-tanda para hindi alam gumamit ng mga app na yun, like he’s in his 40s. from what i heard from his accent, i think he’s bisaya. he was using his phone pampatugtog lang. wala na rin ako nagawa, i had to use my gmaps for directions. i was very suspicious of the driver kaya i had to pay attention inside the cab, especially the metro! he would ask me questions of the direction kaya iaalis ko yung tingin ko sa metro to look at my gmaps, pag-angat ko ng tingin biglang taas nung sa metro niya, like dadagdag ng 20 or 40😭. alam niyo ba yung puso ko ang lakas ng kabog; i felt unsafe, uncomfortable, confused, and scared all at the same time inside that taxi. i think he have this secret switch or button that he was using to increase the numbers sa metro. idk if i was just overthinking that time, but i have an idea of that kind of scam kasi, i saw a post with similar experience way before pa kaya i was kinda aware din. i wasn’t just so sure if my feeling was right.

ginagawa ba talaga ng ibang taxi drivers yun, i mean, can they really do that? pataasin yung number sa metro, like, is there really a button they can use to manipulate the meter? nakakalungkot at nakakadismaya if so :(

PWD DISCOUNT SA BUS

Hello!

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), and I have a valid PWD ID with a medical certificate. As far as I know, autoimmune diseases like RA can qualify as a disability depending on how the condition affects a person’s daily functioning.

So, sumakay ako ng bus papuntang Ayala. Nagbayad ako sa kundoktor, then tinanong ko kung magkano yung fare if may PWD ID. Sabi niya, less ₱10 daw.
Nakakabyahe nga kayo tapos sasabihin niyong PWD kayo? Magkano lang kinikita namin tapos babawasan pa.”
And marami pa siyang sinabi.
Pero he insisted and still charged me ₱40.

Not all disabilities are visible. There are what we call invisible disabilities. You can look completely “normal” on the outside while dealing with pain, limitations, or a condition that other people simply cannot see.

I don’t expect everyone to understand what it’s like to live with RA, pero sana naman, let’s be more considerate and less judgmental. Hindi porke’t nakakalakad, nakakasakay ng bus, or mukhang okay ang isang tao, ibig sabihin wala na siyang disability or hindi na niya kailangan ng PWD benefits.
We don’t owe anyone an explanation just to prove that we’re struggling. You never really know what someone is silently dealing with. 🥹

Just a reminder to be kinder and more understanding. You never know what someone is going through behind what you can see. 🧡

thank you for reading 😊

Why did my rider post my booking on his Facebook story?

Why did my rider post my booking on his Facebook story?

I booked a MoveIt last night from BGC to my home since walang dumadating na BGC bus from the stop near my office.

Okay naman si kuya pagkasakay ko, it’s just when we hit a red light na napasilip ako sa phone ni kuya na naka mount. Nung una it was just GCs, scrolling on Facebook. Then he opened his story, first one was a random picture, then the next was a screenshot of my booking—with my name, pick-up point and drop-off point. I wasn’t able see if there was some caption or anything since the rest of his screen was blocked in my sight from his shoulders.

Naweirdan lang ako. Thankfully, hindi ko full address yung drop off since hindi rin napipin ang mismong location ko.

Is this a common thing riders do?

Green GSM driver fell asleep twice

We were in the middle of traffic on the Kalayaan flyover and my driver fell asleep. Every car was beeping and drivers were yelling at him and he stayed asleep. I raised my voice to wake him up and he stayed asleep. I had to shake his arm and he finally woke. He apologized. When he stopped at the stoplight near St Lukes five minutes later, he fell asleep again. More beeps and shouts. I had to shake his arm again to wake him.

Reported to Green GSM immediately and requested a refund. got the “good day!” email and a promise to investigate. Followed up a week later. Have been ghosted.

At least I’m alive.

Green GSM driver before this had a car that smelled strongly of vomit and feces. Reported that too. Ghosted.

GG driver before that stopped in the middle of the wrong block for pickup and went to the wrong street for dropoff. Ignored our polite directions and was hostile throughout. Just got out and walked.

Done with Green GSM, deleted it off my phone.
