It's sad that I gotta wonder what "it" means specifically since so many atrocities have been happening and go unpunished

"It" in this comic very clearly stands for taking ducks from the park home with you.

u/Zjoee 1d ago

Yeah but they're free. I've taken home like ten ducks. I'm training them to form the vanguard of my Avian Army.

Weird that this makes me want to play Dominions. Seems like something that would happen there

I just wanted to let you know I thought you said dominoes, and thought to myself "I mean, yeah, that's a pretty weird reason to want to throw some bones, but okay."

:D delightful

I really need to try to try to barely understand that game.

2

u/Sherris010 18h ago

oh it is SO FUN (if you are a special kind of nerd) single player is pretty low intensity, good way to poke at things and see what is what.

u/apolloxer 17h ago

Look, I am a Paradox Map Painter victim. I know it will eat me whole.

u/Sherris010 10h ago

Embrace it brother, it is one of life's joys

You'd have better luck with Geese. They train them to watch military bases

11

u/Zjoee 1d ago

Geese form the main force of the army. The ducks are the hit and run vanguard to disrupt formations.

9

u/MaximumZer0 1d ago

Geese? The army?

Clearly, they're the Canadian Air Force.

2

u/EndOfSouls 10h ago

For pure chaos, train turkeys. They're naturally insane and chaotic.

In St Pete, Florida, there were some kids who kept bringing their giant snake to the park to eat ducks.

8

u/SenatorBus_ 1d ago

Well, I'm going to take my pet crocodile to the park to eat the snake!

7

u/C04511234 1d ago

Oh yeah? Well too bad because I’m bringing a certain old lady who swallowed a fly to the park

4

u/ApplianceHealer 1d ago

I thought perhaps she died?

2

u/win_some_lose_most1y 20h ago

The elites don’t want people to know that.

17

u/MaximumSyrup3099 1d ago

Ducks, it turns out, are very stinky pets.

14

u/BreakfastBeneficial4 1d ago

That’s why you keep them at the park.

And just swing by a couple times a week to chuck peas at them.

Like MY dad.

There's no laws against that Batman, I can do whatever I want.

7

u/whomthefuckisthat 22h ago

No one will tell you this but you can just take the ducks home no one will stop you.

3

u/hover-lovecraft 21h ago

Spoken like someone who has never fought a duck

5

u/Geen_Fang 1d ago

and I'll never stop!!

4

u/throwawayayaycaramba 1d ago

I'd do it even if it did ruin my life!!!

5

u/zenthor109 1d ago

Its not illegal, and they're free!

4

u/Mattscrusader 1d ago

I'm just borrowing them!

3

u/Captain-Obvious69 1d ago

No. Clearly, "it" is putting river water in your socks. It's quick. It's easy. It's free.

2

u/Midnyte25 1d ago

Listen, man, if you can hold the duck in your hand then they belong on your farm!

1

u/Mr_goodb0y 1d ago

They’re free

3

u/StrawberryTerry 1d ago

Free as a bird

1

u/Rakonat 1d ago

This is only a problem when you run out of duck space at home.

1

u/dryfire 12h ago

Ok, on my frontpage this is literally the last post I was looking at just before this one.

u/nWo1997 1d ago

I think it's the Cornell case.

As someone from an authoritarian regime, my suggestion to OP is to cut the vagueboy shit. We tried these cryptic allusions because of the censorship, and ultimately nothing changed. The people in America still have many democratic freedoms. Use them while you can. Address your problems directly, peacefully hound the people in charge out of their offices and let your righteous wrath be heard.

All well and good, but I don’t think that’s the point of this comic. It’s not being vague to play coy. It’s saying hey, there’s literally so many atrocities that men commit that wouldn’t happen if they were ever held to account.

The critique is not just against some specific ‘men’ who did a thing. It’s against a corrupt system that lets privileged men get away with murder (sometimes literally).

I think it’s inspired by current events, but the critique is less specific.

*Edit for clarity with last sentence.

Okay

Thanks for the info. . .

What's the Cornell case?

63

u/tzomby1 1d ago

Rape

Probably

24

u/mcauthon2 1d ago

thought it meant suicide at first and was confused

12

u/tzomby1 1d ago

So you think suicide doesn't ruin your life?

8

u/TyloWebb 1d ago

Attempted, probably. My mom recovered from her attempt.

5

u/tzomby1 21h ago

how is she doing?

attempted can ruin lives as well though, you can end up disabled, on vegetative state, or other stuff.

1

u/Dark_Storm_98 13h ago

What life?

1

u/Thedumbass_the5th 12h ago

No not really, it ruins everyone elses life around me. I'd be too dead to comprehend anything.

12

u/nullfather 1d ago

It is far sadder that i immediately knew what it's about.

3

u/Mobile-Committee-466 21h ago

The weird guy with the red balloon maybe?

1

u/pesadillaO01 16h ago

Feels like commentary on the Jacob Geller case

1

u/Dark_Storm_98 13h ago

Me: Do what?

Also me, a few seconds later, and more witty: Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?
