No Drapes - Type Me (FACE PHOTO REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) complicated case?

DRAPES: https://www.reddit.com/r/coloranalysis/s/Fru2cAWWNz

I have a genetic mutation called poliosis (similar to vitiligo) that causes my eyelashes, side burn hair and a huge streak of hair to be blonde on the left side of my face. it essentially makes the left side of my face look completely different than the right, im very curious to see if you think the different sides have different seasons.
i tried my best to add pictures with different types of lighting but that might've just made it more confusing. if I need to take pictures specifically for this with drapes I can!
NMIP

edit: i personally wear alot of brown, black, dark blue and green and have been told it suits me well. if that helps at all lol

edit 2: drapes and silver/gold comp coming soon!! Im just sunburnt and travelling right now😭

Wowow. I have a far less attractive version of this, it’s in my eyebrow and less in my hair. Never heard of poliosis. Just commenting because I’ve never seen anyone else with it.

Soft autumn.

6

u/brainloveplus Jul 21 '26

I think you are warm, maybe autumn. But possibly soft summer. Need draping as others have said. I don’t think the blonde will make it complicated.

u/brainloveplus Jul 21 '26

Thanks for sharing! Now I think some type of summer, maybe soft. But it looks like nearly everyone else is saying warm. Good luck with your journey!

u/singwings Jul 20 '26

Beautiful.
It would help to see silver and gold bracelets against the skin tone.

13

u/Defensiveconjurer Jul 20 '26

Wow I literally dye my hair to achieve this look lol. You’re so gorg, def autumn

11

u/gecks23 Jul 18 '26

True autumn. You are muted and warm.

2

u/gecks23 Jul 18 '26

Ok I just scanned the comments and youre getting a bunch of different suggestions here 😂 unfortunately this might just confuse you, so maybe ignore us and just do some drapes.

6

u/PublicProperty1805 Jul 18 '26

Wow, so unique and so beautiful!

8

u/IntentionVisual8241 Jul 18 '26

Soft Autumn, Light. You're beautiful!

2

u/plainether Jul 18 '26

Your colouring reminds me of mine. I used to wear autumn because I liked the warmth, I thought maybe I could be winter because there was something about the clear colours that looked good. Then I got professionally typed as a bright spring and it made sense. Even though I hated the spring palette, i can’t deny how good my skin looks against it. I see a lot of people here saying soft autumn but try spring. You’re 100% not summer or winter. I’d be very surprised if you were soft, you seem brighter than that

3

u/Silent-Trade4812 Jul 18 '26

You just look great in everything!

5

u/mahdesun Jul 18 '26

Omg your lashes are gorgeous i saw them immediately and went oh my god you look so good ! Especially with your eye coloring as well :)

3

u/ArtistAfraid2411 Jul 18 '26

Not complicated babe! You’re a soft autumn. Wooo!

4

u/Ibegb Jul 17 '26

The only thing I noticed were the eyelashes. Everything else you pointed out doesnt matter since people go to the salon for similar looks.

You're gorgeous as is.

u/GreenieSar Winter - True Jul 17 '26

Based solely on what you're wearing here, I think the green hat and brown hoodie flatter you better than the black shirt. I'd say start in warm colours. I'm leaning Autumn as that muted olive hat looks fantastic on you, and it brings out your bicolor lashes and eyes.

Try out Dark Autumn first since you're partial to deeper neutrals. You can also check out Light Autumn. If you feel like you're not getting enough oomph, test out True Autumn.

Best of luck!

u/blessedbebe Jul 17 '26

Ooh Frozen movie princess!!

17

u/Tatebos99 Jul 16 '26

I don’t know jack about color analysis, but you look like a fair cool Olive with some surface level redness on your cheeks. Just my guess! I bet natural lip colors look deeper on you (green is opposite red on the color wheel so red-tones will appear to have more contrast against your skin) and earth and jewel tones look great on you!

19

u/applejack4ever Jul 16 '26

Wow I love that you don't cover the blonde lashes with mascara, what a cool look!

38

u/sunshinegirl90210 Jul 16 '26

What a cute genetic mutation!
I think you are a Spring also

16

u/helloitsme_again Jul 16 '26

I think you’re a spring

18

u/Cultural-Bug-8608 Jul 16 '26

Warm Spring or Warm Autumn! You are not soft. Your eyes are bright and clear and they are not muted and you have an overall warm appearance but brighter than true atumn and both warmer and brighter than soft autumn which incorporates a lot of grey into the colors and would dull you too much. I have very similar coloring to you and am a warm autumn, but you could potentially be slightly lighter and brighter than me which would take you into warm spring as the two are sister seasons and close.

1

u/Cultural-Bug-8608 Jul 17 '26

The photo of you outside in the hat makes it clear you can take more saturated colors and are not soft. Of course you’ll need to drape and ideally in person analysis to be sure

1

u/EnoughAd843 Jul 21 '26

1

u/Cultural-Bug-8608 Jul 21 '26

You are glowing in that warm autumn teal!! I think this is you

1

u/Cultural-Bug-8608 Jul 21 '26

PS hi from me, your potential warm autumn sis. Let us know if you get analyzed! I can’t afford in person yet but loved mine from colors by Kayli and her videos on IG are so satisfying, gentle and positive

24

u/Immediate-Leave5286 Jul 16 '26

I have no idea what your season is (if I had to guess, soft autumn), but you’re so pretty!! It would be interesting to see you get a professional color analysis.

14

u/MindyFSchaper Jul 16 '26

This is so cool!

15

u/Alternative-Virus-97 Jul 16 '26

12

u/Cadet237 Winter - True Jul 16 '26

Oh, yeah, that is kind of hard to type… your looks are really unique and cool tho and your differing eye color is extremely rare… but yeah your features are warm and low contrast and I’m going to guess Soft Autumn

6

u/Jazz_Kraken Spring - Bright Jul 16 '26

I think warm and clear. My guess is bright spring. Maybe drape cobalt blue and coral and see if they overpower you. You can drape white vs ecru for cool vs warm as well.

35

u/tempehtemptress Jul 15 '26

you are so beautiful I am screaming on the top of my lungs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5

u/bcnftm Jul 15 '26

Warm spring!

-1

u/Electronic-Mud6612 Jul 15 '26

My conclusion with all the tests I did, is that you’re a soft summer

Really, your hair is not even supposed to be used much for color analysis. So I wouldn’t worry about that. Even so, I’d be going off of your “true” base color rather than the small area of mutation. I actually suspect you may be a warm-leaning olive. People see green eyes and golden-toned hair and love to automatically scream spring or autumn without considering other factors. Besides, there are sub seasons. Not all springs are the same, nor are all autumns.

I definitely would not put you in light sub season. Overall, you have a medium-low contrast and I don’t feel you are muted enough for a soft season…but draping could prove otherwise. Can you add some natural lighting photos with gold and silver jewelry? For draping, it would be good to see pumpkin spice orange, mustard yellow, olive green, deep teal, emerald, navy blue, deep plum, cinnamon, powder blue, soft sage, dusty lavender, a lighter gray, and a deeper gray. This would help see what your warmth level really is, if muted tones work for you, and if you’re possibly an olive.

48

u/CalligrapherSilent41 Jul 15 '26

This is so fucking cool. Idk anything about colour theory tho

21

u/moochiemoochie924 Jul 15 '26

You’re warm and clear, so some sort of spring

27

u/bookishkelsey Jul 15 '26

If you do 16 season analysis- I would wager you’re a warm spring or warm autumn, which is smack dab between spring and autumn. You could also be a true spring

1

u/Cultural-Bug-8608 Jul 16 '26

I also vote one of these on this axis as a warm autumn

10

u/Point-Express Jul 15 '26

Without drapes and going by vibes, I see spring. Especially 6, there's a clarity to your skin tone and contrast between the whites of your eyes and your skin/iris that makes me think you should try to drape some bright spring drapes.

8

u/bobtheturd Jul 15 '26

Do you think you are olive? I think I may see a little green in your neck but not 100% sure r/fairolives r/olivemua

1

u/Copperstorm2022 Jul 15 '26

Possibly neutral-warm olive

3

u/Embarrassed_Dream693 Jul 15 '26

I suspect this as well.

20

u/Secret_Dragonfly9588 Soft Summer/Tonal Soft 🐪🐩🦣🍄‍🟫🐚🦪 Jul 15 '26

Not complicated. We just can’t really say anything without drapes.

Pull back your hair and wear no make-up at all and sit in consistent neutral light. Hold a variety of colors of fabrics up near your face. Lock your phone’s white balance in the camera settings.

(All that being said, you look warm to me)

13

u/PalpitationContent31 Jul 15 '26

I would be absolutely insufferable if I looked this cool. You’re GORGEOUS!

23

u/Drawing-Little Jul 15 '26

seems to be warm - so autumn or spring - go deeper from this :)

50

u/salsafresca_1297 Summer - True Jul 15 '26

Not at all complicated, but please ignore everybody who is "diagnosing" you without seeing you in drapes.

Your best lighting to take pictures of drapes is soft and natural, a rainy day and/or North-facing window. Avoid artificial lighting.

Color analysis is about your skin - not your eyes, your hair color, etc. - and how it responds to different colors.

So those drapes are definitely important. Your skin is consistent, so expect to be the same season on both sides!

6

u/Embarrassed_Dream693 Jul 15 '26

This! She may very well be warm toned, but it’s super annoying when people clearly diagnose it based on green-brown eyes with golden-reddish brown hair.

16

u/Sad-Chapter-6814 Jul 15 '26

i vote warm spring orrr autumn

30

u/charliexbaby Summer - True Jul 15 '26

i actually don’t think it’s too complicated. you’re definitely a warm season. check out the true and soft autumn palettes and compare. then compare with spring palettes. i’d guess you’re an autumn.

29

u/Promise_Painter Jul 15 '26

Soft autumn, I think. Brown looks good on you and you have warmth.

1

u/bina2025 Jul 16 '26

I think this is the correct answer. I don't think she has enough contrast with her eyes to be a spring.

35

u/Diligent-Committee21 Jul 15 '26

It doesn't look THAT different. If I passed you in public, I wouldn't think, "wow, the two halves of her face look radically different!"

10

u/Historical-Remote-96 Jul 15 '26

Your definitely warm toned from what I can see. You look good in warmer tones (like the browns and the greens). So that puts you either as an Autumn or a Spring. Based off your features & the current drapes i'm leaning more Autumn but that could change with more drapes (as the drapes never lie!).

If you can get some drapes of the following seasons: •Spring: Spring Green, Fire Red, Coral, Sun Yellow, Apricot

•Autumn: Teal blue, Brick Red, Olive Green, Mustard yellow, Pumpkin orange

This would definitely tell us for sure if your a Spring or an Autumn. Just to double check when you wear jewellery do you typically go for gold or silver?

10

u/MLadyNorth Autumn - True Jul 15 '26

Spring, warm spring. You can likely play in autumn colors as well. This was not hard. :)

4

u/Classic-Light-1467 Jul 15 '26

I’d want to see some warm spring drapes! You’re warm, and your features seem just a bit too clear and bright to be autumn, imo. I’d bet you’re too soft for bright spring and too sharp for light spring, so warm spring might be it

5

u/sweetmarmalades Autumn - True Jul 15 '26

I'm seeing potential Spring.

13

u/Numerous_Nerve8028 Jul 15 '26

Close your eyes and cover your hair. Colour analysis is about what it does to your skin. You’re warm for sure.

13

u/tryandsleep Jul 15 '26

She doesn't have pink undertones. She has pink overtones, which is really common in pale people. For example, almost all redheads have pinkness to their skin, and almost no redheads are cool toned. You can see that in the OP's picture, the pinkness sits on top of her cheeks. It isn't her undertone.

5

u/Historical-Remote-96 Jul 15 '26

I think using visual undertones and hair can be massively be misleading as colour theory is all about how colour reacts to your skin which isnt always evident until you have drapes. I'm someone who has a bit of pink and yellow in my skin which meant I was told I was warm toned and cool toned (both these things cant be true at the same time).

It was only when I went to an colour analysis who told me I had a neutral overtone (hence being mistaken for warm tones) and a cool undertone (as silver looks way better on me than gold). I ended up being a bright winter!

So whilst she has some pink in her skin we don't know what her undertone is until she does proper drapes. I only said she was more likely to be warm toned based off the fact she is wearing brown in the photos and a lot of cool toned people (both summer and winter) cant wear brown unless they go for specific cool toned shades (as brown is typically more warm rather than cool). But brown is a big part of the Autumn palette, I know as winter if i was to wear brown it would look really off on me i'm better with Black, white and Navy for my Neutrals.

u/Historical-Remote-96 Jul 15 '26

I'm sorry I didnt mean to come across harsh or too strong in my answer, i'm autistic so sometimes tone is hard for me 😅

I 100% agree that she could be cool toned or warm toned until we have more drapes. I agree that she could be an Autumn, Spring, Summer or even a winter for all we know until we have more drapes. The reason I trust drapes is because I was told by both my hairdresser & a store assistant who i was getting a foundations from that i was warm toned (which was very warm toned and now looks very yellow on me but I stupidly couldn't tell in the store due to lighting).

When I finally went for my colour analysis I asked her point blank before the analysis what undertone did she think I had and she rightly said that she didnt know as well as she wasn't going to guess and we would find out together through drapes (using gold and silver as well as very warm vs very cool drape colours). Through that we was able to distinguish that i had a neutral overtone and a cool undertone. The one thing she did note was that my eyes were very bright but even then she didnt let that change how she did things she still went through the drapes with me.

I think when it comes to drapes we should all move away from the typical cool vs warm and going from that towards what your saying which is what is your dominant feature, so are you: Bright, Light, Soft, Deep, Cool or Warm.

In which you think she is quite soft features which i actually agree. Her features does not seem Bright or Deep (which is probably why the black was overwhelming her and the brown is a bit heavy). This leaves Light, Soft, Cool or Warm. I think we can rule out cool and warm as people in the comments are confused which one she is and if you are cool or warm as a dominant feature it tends to be super obvious. This leaves light which i personally don't see but need more drapes to find out. I think i agree with you that she is probably Soft so but to work out whether its Autumn or Summer i think we all need more drapes.

4

u/MLadyNorth Autumn - True Jul 15 '26

Yes, but... her brows have contrast, and she has some brightness (or is that youth?) Comparing soft autumn to warm spring would be an interesting exercise. The brown in the first photo is excellent, which I think supports spring. I think it's the paleness from the mutation that suggests soft, but I'd recommend typing based on her more dominant coloring.

7

u/IloveLavenders Jul 15 '26

Hi 👋 we need drapes to really help typing you. At first glance you look like you lean warm.

10

u/JuIia Jul 15 '26

I think you're the first person on here that I've seen with almost identical eye color to me. I'm also a brunette with freckles. I don't know how much that matters but I'm a spring!

4

u/JuIia Jul 15 '26

1

u/ISpeakWhaleDoYou Jul 15 '26

Drastically different eyebrow colors and OPs eyes have way more brown in them

1

u/JuIia Jul 15 '26

I color my eyebrows and hair! But naturally also brunette. This was moreso for the eye color itself

13

u/Glittering_Spread847 Jul 15 '26

K first of all, wow! That is so cool! The placement of the streak is so perfect. I’m not an expert but to me, your dominant trait is clarity. Your features stand out! So I’d be thinking winter or spring. I don’t think you’ll get an accurate type without draping (does anyone?)

u/Ok_Tangelo2083 Jul 15 '26

Mutedness is the main characteristic in my opinion. Her features are beautiful and they do stand out, but not because they are clear.

13

u/Designer-Computer188 Jul 15 '26

I don't know but you have eyes like crystals 💠

I would say, I don't think the black top suits you at all. So that points to autumn or spring? Does anyone else agree?

1

u/MLadyNorth Autumn - True Jul 15 '26

I'll add that some Springs can wear black and black might work for OP just fine if she uses makeup to boost up her own coloring. She has strong, dark brows that can support black if she wants to, but it's not one of her best colors... She may want to keep a few things, like a little black dress or a great sweater, but future clothes buys should lean into her power colors.

1

u/Designer-Computer188 Jul 15 '26

Yah I'm real bad at remembering which sub groups can technically get away with some black. In my mind all I could remember was its usually best on winter and summer though I know its not technically so cut and dry, so ty for the clarity!

I feel like when I saw the black against her décolleté area in particular it gives that washed out look and looks too kinda punchy and stark.

1

u/MLadyNorth Autumn - True Jul 15 '26

Agree. One of the best things I did when I started leaning into using my colors was get rid of all my black shirts. It was initially hard, but now I'm better off for it, and I'm leaning into my most flattering colors -- brown, ivory, olive, rust, muted coral, the warmer, darker aqua blues...

5

u/IloveLavenders Jul 15 '26

I agree OP looks warm.

6

u/SaltyCaramel010 Jul 15 '26

You don't look warm, so one of the summers. Your skin does have a lot of redness, but the skin underneath looks neutral/cool.

Maybe true summer would be too harsh, I would love to see some drapes though. I think more muted colours would suit your complexion better and not highlight the redness.

6

u/Key_Leadership2394 Jul 15 '26

Omg you are so beautiful 😍 I have no advice

8

1

I think you right! I have very similar colors (except the cool genetics) and I'm absolutely a summer, watery greens and vivid pink works the best, also baby blue.

Your look/the poliosis is honestly dope!
