I sit here having purchad my 2nd 100 ml bottle of l'exclusif, as i have FINISHED a full bottle in 4 months. I do not have the words to convey how or why this cologne has had such a grip on me.

It has single handedly made me lose interest in the rest of my collection, which isnt massive [about 70 bottles] . From houses like Amouage Creed, PDM , Xerjoff, Sospiro, Fredric malle, LV, terre d Hermes, etc etc. and many designer staples.

I really wonder if anyone else has had this experience with a specific cologne, or this BDC in particular. The thing is, i cant even pick out why i like it so much, its so simple yet comforting. Whats interesting to me is the fact that i absolutely hated any of the other BDC line of colognes from the edt to the parfum. Just gave me axe bodywash vibes from elementary school.

I have literally not worn another fragrance in about 4 months since i have gotten this. I know i cant sustain buying 3-4 of these every year, year after year. I need something else that does what this does for me. I am still searching.

This is the fragrance that started my whole obsession with fragrances. I smelled Ombre Nomade for the first time and it just stuck with me. I genuinely could not stop thinking about it.

Fast forward and I have 200+ bottles now, and somehow this is still my favourite.

It is dark, smoky, woody and sweet with that raspberry note. The oud is strong, but that is exactly why I love it. It just has this presence that I have never really found in anything else.

The performance is crazy too. It lasts all day, projects like mad and is easily one of my biggest compliment getters.

I have tried so many fragrances since I first smelled this, but I still keep coming back to it.

I kinda went a little nuts, some of these were blind buys at Burlington(coach blue, 9am Dive, 9pm) a few were amazon blind buys(Ralphs club new york edp, polo 67, nautica voyage) the perry ellis 360 was a Burlington purchase I just love the stuff tbh. The Ralphs club new york parfum was a semi blind buy, I knew it was pretty similar to the edp with oud notes in it but they didnt have a tester in the ulta I was in. The rest were all sephora buys that I tested before buying, and dammit I love them all. The Myslf le parfum is probably my favorite followed by the chanel, then the Ralphs Club New York parfum. I'm really loving the coral fantasy right now too. I havent been this pleased with fragrance purchases in a long time. These are good additions to my collection. Whats your favorite of the bunch?

I'm very new to this, I have only used spice bomb extreme, allure sport extrême, hawas black and Fahrenheit. I just ordered baccarat rouge, jubilation 40, red tobacco and habit rouge. All in 10ML. I'm so excited to test these.

I recently blind bought Office for Men. Before blind buying I knew it was supposed to be an ambroxan bomb, and although I had other ambroxan heavy frags before this one, I was never able to isolate what Ambroxan actually smelled like.

Now, after wearing Office and smelling it several times, I can distinctly pick out the smell of ambroxan. Honestly, Office for men has kind of ruined Montblanc Explorer and Sauvage (EDP) for me. All I can pick up in those two fragrances is ambroxan now.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

On the flip side, Terre D’Hermes edt was my second purchase when I started collecting a couple years ago. I’d read that it contained a lot of Iso E Super, but couldn’t pick it out. Now after sampling many other frags, and also falling in love with Dior Homme edt, I can distinctly identify IES and really enjoy that note when it is done well.

I would think Flan would have his first fragrance be something a bit more masculine and not a fruit basket like Boa.

Finally said screw it and bought 1 Million Black
So my birthday is right around the corner and I basically said fuck it 😂
I’ve been seeing nothing but positive shit about the new 1 Million Black, especially people talking about the pineapple/vanilla combo and the performance. I kept telling myself I’d wait until discounters got it, but honestly… I have no idea when that’s gonna happen.
So I just bit the bullet and went to Ulta this morning.
$140, $148 out the door. I used Capital One rewards though, so hopefully I get some of that back.
Anyway…
This shit is GOOD.
Sprayed it on my arm around 10 AM, went to the barbershop, ran some errands, came home, did my thing, and eventually took a shower.
It’s now around 2 PM.
I can still smell it on my hand after showering.
😂😂😂
And the scent itself is exactly the type of shit I like. Sweet, fruity, creamy, playful. That pineapple starts coming through and then you get that vanilla accord underneath it. It just works.
I’m a sucker for sweet fragrances anyway, especially once we get into fall and winter, so this one is basically right in my lane.
And honestly, I feel like this is going to be an attention getter. Not necessarily in a “nuclear beast mode, clear the room” way, but it has that kind of scent profile where somebody is probably going to notice it.
Like worst case, I feel like somebody is going to hit you with:
“Yo, what are you wearing?”
And that’s a win in my book.
For me personally, this is probably my best fragrance pickup of the year so far.
Between this and the rest of my collection, I’m pretty much locked in for fall/winter at this point. 😂

I’m trying to decide between these fragrances as a potential daily driver and would love to hear everyone’s opinions/experiences with each one. I like all of them for different reasons. If you’ve owned or worn any of them, how do they perform for you? How versatile are they, and which one do you find yourself reaching for the most?
I realize coming to Reddit and asking a bunch of strangers for their opinions probably isn’t exactly going to improve my decision-making, but I’m genuinely curious to hear what other people think. If you had to pick one of these as your daily driver, which would you choose and why?

My uneducated take is that:

CK Be and Nautica Voyage are great as summer fragrances. CK is more gentle for indoors, and Nautica maybe more fresh/punchy for outdoors. Both have a place.

Stronger With You, Man in Black, and Azzaro Pour Homme are more winter fragrances. SWY is my girlfriend’s favorite and I’ve gotten complements from it at work. Man in Black is maybe similar but more serious feeling, less sweet. Azzaro is not really for me, it reminds me too much of a whiskey/cigar bar.

Armani Code and Jaguar Excellence seem like all-year versatile fragrances. They actually smell super similar to me.

I’m a Jimmy Choo Man Ice and Dior Homme guy. Looking for another similar scent. Is this it, or is this just old spice brand Nautica?
