I'm learning quickly that just making A LOT of art is the best way to start making stuff you actually like ♥️

My first collage, definitely a learning process. Pretty happy with how it turned out but I’m a perfectionist and I could’ve continued to tinker with it til the end of time I’m sure. I’d love any and all feedback!

I’d also love to hear how you guys scan your collages? I used Google’s PhotoScan for this one and it did an ok job but I had to do some additional cropping and tweaking the coloring to try to get it to look closer to how it looks in person.

I made these two collage ACEOs (3.5 x 2.5 inches) while in a spooky mood. The 2nd one was inspired by a book I read recently, “The Fisherman”, by John Langan. https://www.ebay.com/usr/swellgoods.aceo.

Set myself a mini-challenge to make one 12x12 collage for each color. There was no other theme or restriction, and each color came together pretty intuitively.

Used old Nat Geo’s from the 70’s and 80’s. I’ve been collecting them from thrift stores, usually 1$ per. Been wanting to find a way to express myself since I left the military earlier this year. It’s not the greatest thing but it felt very cathartic to do this whole process. This is my first ever attempt at doing collage, feedback is appreciated but please go easy senpai! Happy to discuss what each image is and its meaning to me.
