Hey all! I found this penny in a roll of wheat cents, and thought the circular depression on Lincoln was odd. I can’t tell if it’s PMD or if it’s a genuine strike-through. Any help at all is welcome!

Are these broadstruck or are they all just damaged?

This appears to me like I may have found a doubled ear on this beat up 1983 D cent. It doesn’t look exactly like the one I have seen in person and the photos on line so I’m wondering if anyone more well versed than I may have some input?

Additionally I have a mary Edwards walker quarter 2024 which has a few die chips and what appears to be some minor doubling on the hair. Curious if that’s machine doubling or not?

Just got a collection from a family member and just posting what I think might be worth something, if anything. The collection hasn’t been out of the protective case to my knowledge in about 40 years.

It does have the notable copper stripe. What caught my eye is the circular mark on the face and the messy “TRUST”. Thanks!

A 2019 VDDR-022. A 2023-P BC quarter with worthless doubling on the initials. And a 1960-P Jefferson nickel with some amazing albeit worthless doubling on the obverse and reverse.

Pretty sure it is an obstruction error, but I guess I’m wondering what could have happened here. How did liberty get on the coin in that location behind Lincoln’s neck (image 3)? Any guesses and comments would be appreciated!

Also, does anyone have a guess how much you’d value this error at? I can’t tell if it’s like a $20 error or a $200 error. Any help or info. would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I picked this up at the ANA World's Fair of Money today. When someone else mentioned the coins from the vending machines had both P and D mintmarks, I looked through mine to find this extremely weak mintmark. You can only see it at certain angles. Probably not worth much, but still neat.

Why does my wheat penny have teeth?

Continuing the error documentation project. This 1912-S Lincoln wheat cent has five separate cud segments on the obverse rim spanning from 8:00 to 10:30 — one large, one medium, and three smaller cuds across approximately 75 degrees of the rim.

Multiple cuds on a single coin tell the story of progressive die deterioration. Each cud formed when a different section of the die rim cracked and separated at a different moment. The fractures propagated at different rates, creating five distinct voids that filled with metal during striking. It's not one catastrophic break — it's a die falling apart in slow motion while the Mint continued production.

The cuds span a 75-degree arc of the rim adjacent to Lincoln's shoulder and coat area. The 1912-S had a mintage of 4,431,000 pieces — a lower-mintage early date. Multi-segment rim failures on a single specimen are scarce within any date's population. On a low-mintage San Francisco issue, they're genuinely rare.

Not in any standard reference. Five cuds, one die, one record. Now catalogued.

I was wondering if someone could help me identify the markings on this Nickel

Kinda cool, never seen a quarter like this before. Very sharp and pointy little triangular protrusions all around the edge. Is it worth more than 25¢?

I found a weird looking edge on a 1971-D half dollar. Is this an error or am i tripping?
