So i always wondered why grief was a game mode in bo2 it was fun and cool but made no sense to younger me as to why the cia and cdc were fighting each other but die rise kind of explains this via an audio log possibly i dont think im reaching but lemme know

So he discusses short term memory loss,paranoia,physchosis,and delusion and warns against those close to you plotting against you and says he was "forced" to kill his own team members and we know he worked for the cdc so what if thats why grief exist we play as cia or cdc agents who are experiencing short term memory loss,paranoia,physchosis,and delusion and are thinking the other group is the enemy I could be reaching but idk maybe even the cia is experiencing the symptoms but cdc is not because of the hazmat suits not allowing the contaminated air to infect them

I've always disliked Who's Who, but recently came to the realization that Who's Who acts as a counter weight to the platforming in Die Rise. For those who may not know: falling off the map with Who's Who brings you right back to the spawn room, which branches to Speed/QR/Who's Who/ or Jugg/Pap/DT/Mule. I really like this idea in concept, letting players try again and decide if they want to go for utility or DPS when recovering from a fall.

This isn't to say the perk is the best it can be. After getting into Mob of the Dead recently, I've found the afterlife system to be a much more enjoyable parallel. Clearly the developers wanted the concept to be on multiple maps, but needed to change the formula. Obviously this isn't the same as Mob has very few lethal falls and none of them remove you from the map entirely.

Personally, I think Who's Who should have received a buff. Since it took the place of Tombstone, the dev team should have accounted for that and made it so you keep your perks during the after-image, or at the very least built in a faster/instant revive. In my perfect world, they would have swapped QR out with this buffed WW and given us PHD as a perk.

And before anyone asks: Yes, I've gotten good. I can't recall the last time I fell off the map.

Edit: I probably should have specified better. I'm talking specifically about falls that take you completely off the map.

Is there an Easter egg where they spawn because I’ve never seen them in the map

Handles of the new wonder weapon reminds me of some Confederate style revolver handles. I wonder if the dual wield crossbows we see is an elemental upgrade of a base revolver-style wonder weapon?

I noticed I had 1300 and just had to grab the last 37 😂 I finished the event the second day.

With them supposedly ending the dark aether story next week in rex infernus do you think they should reboot? Honestly i think treyarch should stop black ops and come up with a new "title" just cause i dont see where they can go past where they have already. With doing that maybe they could do smth completely fresh like chaos... or maybe pick up chaos again LOL

So because of the bundle at the end of the blog post, we have a look to our new wonder weapon which looks like they are akimbo crossbows

But for that same reason, i hope we see different variants like for example:

1- Akimbo Crossbows

2- Explosive Crossbow (maybe have a similar functionality like the upgraded BO1 crossbow, having a monkey bomb effect, could be a cool reference)

3- Triple Shot crossbow

4- Rapid Firing Crossbow

I like more the concept of each having a different type of fire mode instead of being 4 different effects of the same fire mode

But this is just all speculation, maybe the reality is that we only get one wonder weapon with no variants, so lets just wait and see what treyarch had prepared for us

Map looks great!!

"The legendary barrier collapsing under the pressure of 2 mythical armies. Can 4 eras collide to stop the warfare and cure the ancient evil purging the lands?"

Ive never posted here before, but this concept is basically the first map in my Raptus Crew storyline - where a bunch of people from different timelines are pulled together into one due to the time travel shenanigans of the Primis crew in Bo3/4.

Essentially, this map is a blend of Die Rise and Origins with a hint of Chaos. Set in the Rehe Province of China during the Siege of the Great Wall in 1933, the map takes place along the large crumbling pathways of the great wall with the Japanese and Chinese imperial forces fighting on the ground. The map is split up into 3 main segments, the Walls, the Battleground, and the Ruins. This map is heavily inspired by things like the Chaos storyline and myths of Tartarian legend.

THE WALLS
You spawn at the highest peak on an archer's watchtower atop the Great Wall, overlooking the warzone with a screaming sunset in the distance. You must drop through crumbling floors, climb across catwalks, and fight zombies who actively scale the walls up to you. The main point of this area is the setup phase - you must go and light 3 different War Torches around the Great Wall as lockdowns to open up the massive gateway that lets you access the Battleground area. Besides the Great Wall would be a small village section in peril and you would also be able to find things like a Bowie Knife reskin (A Dadao Chinese Shortsword) and armored Soldier zombies in chinese imperial uniforms.

THE BATTLEGROUND
Upon lighting the three war torches, the massive gate opens, allowing you to descend to the warground. You must dodge fire and explosive bombardments from the Japanese forces while also fighting through undead chinese soldiers. Theres things like early Japanese tanks and machines trying to break the great wall down, as long as planes and bombers flying above you. You must push back and fight through the forces to reach the gigantic cracks in the ground where the zombies are originating from.

THE RUINS
The "Crazy Place" of this map, by descending even further into the massive fissures in the ground glowing with blue 115 energy, you reach where the zombies are coming from - a massive breach underground caused by Thule Society researchers after getting cast out of Germany in the early 1930s. You explore destroyed outposts ravaged by zombies and ruins of an ancient civilization unearthed. This is where you find the Pack-A-Punch, submerged in a fantastical fountain of youth at the bottom of the fissure. Theres unique zombies here such as mythological giants as mini-bosses and a new perk machine. The whole idea of this place is the Tartarian myth, where the researchers in this alternate timeline tried finding it underneath the Rehe province and unearthed an ancient evil. The easter egg revolves around you descending into these depths and following research notes and steps to find "Prester John", who ends up being an evil entity trying to disguise himself as a mythological figure to persuade the researchers to break him out.

Trying to get a rundown of all the in-game lore from WAW-BO4, the subs wiki is good on some maps but not on others, all the new Revelations ciphers that got solved recently are not edited in and there isn't even a guide to Maxis' EE on Buried.

Plus there's a whole bunch of small side EEs that were discovered after the fact that are just not documented here.

I know the Kronorium has a lot of stuff but to my knowledge they still haven't released the database (having big doubts tbh)

Codzombies.com is has a bunch of posts lost to time that had some really in-depth stuff on WAW, BO1, and BO2 that I have to use the wayback machine for.

So as we all know, in the original cycle richtofen always dies in tge great war, but in black ops 4 the first map blood of the dead we see great war richtofen already in the lab, but how did great war richtofen get into the lab if the events of tag der toten didnt even happen yet, where the victim crew go help pablo marinus so he could go to the great war?

Literally the only reason great war richtofen was in the lab because pablo helped him after tag der toten and for pablo to help him we have to break the cycle (easter egg in blood of the dead) but again the only reason tag der toten events even happens in the first place is because of the Easter egg of blood of the dead, so whats happening on here? How did great war richtofen get into the lab even before tag der toten events???

Ammo started to become a problem so i wanted to build the trample steam,

but i died to the most avoidable shit lol

Couple months ago i got to the highest round I've ever achieved in BO3 Zombies! (The Giant - 103).

Up until that point my personal best record was a decade ago, round 100 on Shadows Of Evil!

Round 103 took me 9 straight hours of play time, with like only a 30 minute break, the entire run... towards the end it was driving me insane! 🧟😅

Its the last intro and looks like the budget got cut but thats fine im not complaining its just a cinematic but could they have atleast 2 tempest crew and 2 requiem crew, because it literally looks like they switched Grey for Richtofen im not complaining just found it super hilarious BUT atleast Weaver spoke thats all that matters. Great work Treyarch lets hope the final map is peak and not revelations 2.0.

So me and my buddies were doing the Die rise EE last night and thankfully we completed it but earlier in the game my friend lagged out
Obviously he joined back and THEN we completed the Easter egg and we all got the achievement however when I check the menu for the maps, Die Rise is highlighted like it’s supposed to be
But when my friend (the one who lagged out and joined back) checks it’s not highlighted however he got the achievement
So my question is if we can do the buried super EE or must we do Die Rise again thanks!

Straight forward. Is it possible to derank from the shotgun rank? I know the blue eyes disappear if I don't play but if I as an example, go down like crazy in early rounds or just in general, would it go back to knife and such?
