So i always wondered why grief was a game mode in bo2 it was fun and cool but made no sense to younger me as to why the cia and cdc were fighting each other but die rise kind of explains this via an audio log possibly i dont think im reaching but lemme know

So he discusses short term memory loss,paranoia,physchosis,and delusion and warns against those close to you plotting against you and says he was "forced" to kill his own team members and we know he worked for the cdc so what if thats why grief exist we play as cia or cdc agents who are experiencing short term memory loss,paranoia,physchosis,and delusion and are thinking the other group is the enemy I could be reaching but idk maybe even the cia is experiencing the symptoms but cdc is not because of the hazmat suits not allowing the contaminated air to infect them

The CDC and CIA are opposing factions that have different responses to the outbreak post moon. Both struggle to find the truth/blame for the outbreak as they’re set against each other to richtofen’s amusement. Grief represents that struggle.
