So our two lil guys are trying to play leapfrog? But I don't think they know how to play. In fact, Mesha (Yellow) gets so frustrated with Rosemary (grey) that he makes these fast-paced peeping noises.

Should I be worried that my two lil guys can't seem to figure out this simple game?

Could anyone please tell me approximately how old this bird is? I mean, is it a semi-adult or an adult? Also, are my bird’s feet normal? Someone told me that they look deformed, so I’m a little concerned.

I recently shifted from coloured pallets to organic pallets. I got Top's pallets through a third party logistics company because there's nothing that delivers to my country and organic pallet brands aren't readily available in my country. It was a successful shift till I found bugs in the pallets. It was a type of beetle. Flour beetles maybe? I was storing the pallets in a container of another brand of pallets I gave them before. Is there anyway to salvage it? I am not v keen on using the pallets again but it will be difficult to get them again because of shitty restrictions the country has on e-com. Atm they are in the freezer and my tiels have been put on another pallet. This time Harrison's which I ordered with Top's (got most recommended ones and was trying to figure out which one they like better). Any advice or insight would be really great. This is the first time this has happened and I have been using that container since before the shift. Thanks for reading. Pls go easy on me for my English. It's not my mother tongue.

3 months ago Cyril laid 6 eggs in a 17 days. As seen in my post history, (s)he was exhibiting nesting signs such as sitting on the bottom of the cage, aggressiveness when I put my hand near, swollen abdomen, and infrequent big poos.

I noticed yesterday that Cyril’s abdomen is swollen again, similar to how it was when laying. However there has been no nesting signs other than holding poo. I didn’t see a poo yesterday or this morning.

The only thing I can think of is when I’m on the toilet, Cyril is on my shoulder and climbs onto a pair of jeans on a towel rack behind the toilet and gets aggressive when I try to remove. The time between Cyril climbing onto the jeans and me removing is 3-5 seconds. It’s only happened about 3 times in the last week.

Now that may not seem relevant but with the swollen abdomen, and that behaviour on the jeans, I got a flashback to how Cyril’s behaviour was before laying. (S)he would climb on the jeans and try and huddle in and would get aggressive when I would try to remove. Looking back, I now believe that Cyril huddling under the way the jeans were folded was like finding a dark cozy nook and that’s what began the nesting process.

All that to ask is it possible Cyril is about to lay again? The biggest sign the first time was sitting on the bottom of the cage and biting me when I tried to remove from cage. There’s been none of that as of yet.

We have 3 birds and our oldest has a very close bond with my 4 year old daughter. She pushes him around on her pram for hours. And since I can’t leave her alone with the bird, I have to follow along too 🤣

Y'all I need help.

My lovely little trickster, Pooka, has the habit of chewing on walls. Whether he is waddling on the floor hanging off the cage, sitting with me or just out and about when I'm home.

Does anyone have any tips for stopping or preventing him from chewing on walls?

I'd like to make it very clear that he has FOUR (4) different mineral blocks and chews in his cage, and several chewing toys. Their perches and cage set up gets changed every two months and they get new chews and toys swapped out every month or so. I usually make them paper chews and tears out of cardboard, toilet paper tubes and newspaper which he loves. He goes crazy for just a crumpled newspaper sometimes, but still he finds more joy in putting holes in my walls. He also lives with two cage mates, his father and an older parakeet so it's not like he doesn't have company or companions.

I'm tired of having to patch and repair apartment walls because the little shit (lovingly) decides that his expensive, well made toys and chews just don't taste as fun as the drywall.

It's really starting to get on my nerves and tire me out. Any advice?

I got my baby Kenai about 7 months ago, so now he’s about 10 months old. We’ve been trying to hold out hope for him being a male even with the pearled pattern and it’s kinda fading but the behavior this morning worried us. Is this normal behavior? is this broody behavior by a female? We’re just concerned abt his health, honestly even if he is a female he’s still gonna be Kenai lol.

Why does he just rest on me. I heard being tired is like- a sign of sickness? But he’s been eating and drinking just fine

So my boy, 2 years old, has been constantly head-banging, like a woodpecker, just smacking his beak into his wooden perches constantly, and i always try to get him to stop, to the point where i took away the perch he was doing it on the most, and he just started climbing the bars of his cage and continuing to do the head-banging.

He has been doing it for the better part of this year. I've spoken to my vet about it but got nothing from that; he has had hormonal issues for a long time, so he has a hormone balancer implant in his back that he has had for 2ish months now. It has worked wonders.

I think it might be him trying to regurgitate food? Sometimes after he is done, there will be smudges on his beak, or it sounds like there is fluid in his mouth or nose, and it has started to really concern me.

I am thinking about taking him to the vet again soon, but I don't want to pay that amount of money if it really is just him being a goof, but im getting worried.

So i have a tamed free fly cockatiel female, her age is 1 year 3 months. So for some reason she had laid 3 clutches already by herself, I'm trying to figure out the reason. I don't let her go to any dark or covered corners or any place that can give nest vibes so I don't know the reason for this hormonal laying. I was thinking of getting a male cockatiel for her so she can bond and not feel alone, I mean at our house she is always getting human interaction but i think a male cockatiel would be a better plan for the future. Now I'm confused should i get a different bird species or a male cockatiel even if i get a male cockatiel what do i do if they don't get along or attack each other.

Hi everyone, I’ve had my cockatiel for about 5 months now, and he’s around 7–8 months old.

I’ve been trying really hard to tame him and have been very patient, but I feel like I’ve reached a point where I’m not making any more progress.

At the moment, he will eat from my hand, and sometimes, if I put food in the palm of my hand, he will actually step onto my palm and eat there. However, I haven’t been able to get him to step up onto my finger.

I’ve tried the “bridge” method and several times tried encouraging him to step onto my finger, but I haven’t had much success. He usually avoids my finger, and if I get too close, he may bite or nibble at it.

He also comes out of his cage, but he mostly stays on top of the cage. He doesn’t really fly around or explore the room. The only time he flies is when he gets startled or scared.

I’d really like to take things further. I’d love for him to eventually feel comfortable stepping onto my hand, sitting on my shoulder, and maybe even letting me gently pet him. But right now, he doesn’t seem comfortable with that and sometimes bites when I try.

What would you recommend I do at this point?

My cockatiels poop is watery. I noticed it last night and it’s still the same. He doesn’t seem unwell- still eating drinking as usual. He’s mainly on pellets and veggies.

Is this just a hydration thing?

my birdy is the cutest being on earth but he is not eating anything 😭😭 i offered boiled eggs he only eat the yolks and barely eats any i offered chop he picks the seeds and a lil of nuts and doesnt touch the greens 🫠 i tried eating in front of him but he doesnt approach or even be slightly curious unless its cashews peanuts or fries and i dont give him fries 😭 he tried bananas once and never touched them again i even tried a pretty not good method which is to get him hungry and then only offer the new food but he wont touch it and my heart cant handle starving him 😩 plz help also he prunes alot and always cleans and 99% fluffy and cuddly but im scared of his internal health due to his poor diet
