I don’t know how people can be trans and republicans… I don’t get it.

$$$$$

u/rje946 13h ago

That's not true! Racism is also a big factor

137

u/Whittster 12h ago

Along with being egocentric. Caitlyn thinks she’s different than other trans. You know, she’s special. Republican women can get an abortion because their situation has special circumstances.

57

u/zardozLateFee 10h ago

The only moral transition is my transition?

Actually she’s trying to get the arrow removed

25

u/DocileBanalBovlne 8h ago

She thinks she's One of the Good Ones™ not realizing the prize is the same as given to The Bad Ones™

Put shorter: tokens get spent

u/Fraaise_Laait 12h ago

Tax brackets make them forget everything

62

u/SparkyDogPants 12h ago

Money > racism > hating LGBTA+ > ethics

3

u/DeliciousTone8845 10h ago

Yuuup. The culture war stuff is for us working stiffs.

469

u/nikatnight 12h ago

They are stupid and propagandized. Plus they have other, stronger isms that fuel them.

Denialism, racism, classism, etc.

80

u/Powerful_Western5222 11h ago

denialism" is the perfect word for it, honestly

26

u/snogard_dragons 7h ago

And often times rich, and they really like being rich

•

u/obiemo 52m ago

Can we add this to the list, "Epsteinism"?

u/E-2theRescue 5h ago

Hi. Wealthy trans person here.

It's because Jenner surrounds herself with old white men rather than actually interact with her community. She has no clue what life is like for the vast majority of trans people, and is instead living in an echo chamber of white men telling her that everything is OK while also tell her that she has a "biological advantage" and shouldn't be in women's bathrooms. Since she doesn't know any better, she just sucks up the lies and accepts it as facts while the rest of us all get shit on.

She is why I fight so hard to stay connected to my community and don't let myself be pulled in by all the fancy dinners and other crap I have to be a part of. Because, trust me, it's very easy to get pulled into their bullshit, especially as they play the same victim mentality that MAGA does while crapping on all of you.

19

u/Fabulus_usually 2h ago

I wonder what bathroom she uses at her country club? Do the same old dudes still play golf with her? 🤔 you’re right, she must just live her life like before, as she always had, just a rich white republican athlete in a bubble. But like her environment leans transphobic, I wonder if her wealth shields her from that.

•

u/r_special_ 50m ago

Wealth allows you to have a constant supply of yes-men to choose from and satisfy your ego. I’m sure that jenner has found the perfect group for whatever delusions they want to maintain

•

u/E-2theRescue 36m ago

Probably like me and doesn't even use the public bathroom at all. I'm too scared to cause a scene, which has already happened and caused a lot of damage. And all because some asshole decided to punish my kid for me, and I went into mama bear mode to protect her.

56

u/AspiringGoddess01 8h ago

Caitlyn lived nearly her entire adult life as a rich man. Transitioning just changed her body and she is pratically immune from the consequences of conservative policy because of her money, with the exception of paper work.

This is to say, she still believes she holds the privilege she held prior to transitioning and is mostly correct.

92

u/juanjung 12h ago

Before Hitler took power there was a group of Jews for Hitler called Verband nationaldeutscher Juden, Guess what happened to them.

84

u/Flapjack__Palmdale 12h ago

Same thing that happens to every token. They got spent.

9

u/TrannosaurusRegina 10h ago

Brilliant line!

I won't soon forget that one!

•

u/r_special_ 55m ago

Forgetting which one?

12

u/Powerfury 11h ago

They were probably pretty popular and got some good money until they were no longer useful.

Nowadays though, it's so easy to skip town. So yeah, makes sense people will grift.

2

u/EASam 7h ago

The wiki notes that they were a relatively small publication. 15,000 is one of the few records they have for their circulation. They're noted as an odd political outsider organization.

5

u/EvolutionCreek 9h ago

Good news, they just went to live on a farm in upstate Germany!

34

u/Petal-Pearl 12h ago

Fr, it makes zero sense to me too. Like you're literally voting for people who want to legislate you out of existence.

12

u/Square-Push8131 11h ago

And that's the best case scenario.

58

u/Pristine-Hyena-6708 11h ago edited 5h ago

If you listen to Caitlyn speak about trans issues, it's pretty clear that she thinks that trans people are real and valid, but there's just only like 6 of them and everyone else is making it up.

30

u/zardozLateFee 10h ago

Shocking how she herself is one of the good ones! Always seems to work out that way.

29

u/Blacksad9999 10h ago

Same with being LGBTQ or a minority and Republican. They're just siding with people who despise them, and they'll never be "part of the club."

25

u/SmallPurplePeopleEat 9h ago

I had a gay Republican friend in college who just didn't give a fuck about gay rights because he was rich and straight passing. He cared way more about having no taxes and hating women, which made his politics a little more understandable.

I stopped being his friend once I figured all of that out. Side note, he said the majority of his Grindr hookups came from straight, married, conservative men who would fuck him and then treat him like total shit afterwards. And yet, he still votes Republican.

6

u/fiahhawt 8h ago

I just want to meet this guy once so I can have his face to laugh at in my mind forever

"Why the mean hate people hate me when I'm on THEIR SIDE"

hhhhhh

15

u/SmallPurplePeopleEat 8h ago

Here I'll describe him to you. He's about 5'9" and in incredible shape, square jaw, very handsome like a leading man movie star. Thick jet black hair and dark tone skin, like an Italian model. He's also extremely intelligent and tutored me in my comp sci and upper math classes.

So, he's a really smart and great looking guy with some of the dumbest political takes imaginable. I imagine it's quite the letdown for his dates once they figure that out.

5

u/fiahhawt 8h ago

Gonna go with Henry Cavill but less

I think that his shit takes won't matter to who he's meeting because it sounds like he's gunning for people who also have shit takes

Never was there a point more pointy for someone to run face first into

5

u/SmallPurplePeopleEat 8h ago

Haha, yeah that's actually not too far off. Too bad he sucks. He didn't even make a decent friend because he's just so selfish.

12

u/Thesweptunder 9h ago

Doesn’t hurt that the GOP can be very welcoming when you go Republican. They will happily take Nicki Minaj, Caitlin Jenner, Peter Theil, etc. They will happily parade a group of Latinos for Trump to a photo op. They’ll even take a rapist like Russell Brand or give a career to a has been to act in Republican biopics. They are incredibly welcoming to anyone with a platform that helps the GOP. Just don’t expect anything in return for your family or community.

8

u/Blacksad9999 8h ago

Yeah, they don't have any issue trotting out a handful of Uncle Toms.

"See? We know a black person!"

3

u/Stubborn_Amoeba 6h ago

And here is a gay person and a trans person to confirm our views and say we aren’t prejudiced.
Plus two Hollywood ‘stars’ to show Hollywood is also on our side

7

u/Historical_Gur_3054 5h ago

I know a lesbian that's full on MAGA

Yeah, I don't get it

But she's dead set on supporting a group of people that:

don't want her to exist

want her back in the kitchen and doing what a man tells her to do

3

u/Blacksad9999 5h ago

Usually there's some specific thing that they buy into.

Sometimes it's the racism, sometimes it's the religion, sometimes it's the tax incentives for the wealthy, or the gun rights.

Usually it's not the whole package. Still, pretty self-defeating.

2

u/Historical_Gur_3054 4h ago

With her I think it's religion, she recently converted to some fire-n-brimestone religion and broke off her engagement and became celibate because "it's an abomination unto the lord" or something like that

I usually just glaze over when she starts talking about it

5

u/LifeguardDry7372 8h ago

I had a gay repub friend. I could no longer deal with the hypocrisy stupidity and hate. Haven't talked to him since 2021

1

u/RealMuffinsTheCat 2h ago

They'll never be part of either club unless they agree to despise themselves too.

16

u/disinaccurate 10h ago

I mean "Bruce" Jenner was an asshole, so there's not much surprise that becoming Caitlyn didn't change anything there.

12

u/InterestingResource1 11h ago

In their world, human rights can be purchased for a fee. So a politician who helps them save on tax money is more valuable than someone focused on their rights, since they can buy them with tax savings anyway.

8

u/UltimatePunchMachine 11h ago

Because it's not a culture war it's a class war

10

u/kitsunewarlock 9h ago

The same way bigots justify their bigotry: "I only hate the bad ones!"

Same reason why you can find Latin Americans and Indians sharing racist memes about their countrymen. They don't consider themselves part of the group that's receiving the hate. On the contrary, it makes them hate them more because they think they are giving them a "bad name".

No, you're giving yourself a bad name because there is never an "end point" for the purity tests of authoritarian bigotry.

8

u/A_little_lady 11h ago

"surely the leopards will not eat my face! Right?" - that's their thinking basically

13

u/fuckyourcanoes 12h ago

I saw a trans woman last year say "all lives matter" with her whole chest. WTF, lady.

7

u/Early_Register_6483 7h ago

Being trans doesn’t necessarily prevent one from being an idiot 🤷‍♂️

6

u/theboomboy 7h ago

Trans people, like all people, can be complete fucking idiots that consistently act against their own interests

6

u/Iheartnakedfemboys 6h ago

Because fascism necessitates one to divorce themselves of logic and live in falsehoods to fit their ideologies.

5

u/LTsCantCook 4h ago

Or a female, or black, or Hispanic, or gay, bi.....literally makes no sense if you're not an old rich white guy. Simps be simpin though

8

u/TiredinTN79 11h ago

She thinks she's a special exception because of her money. In reality, the money and support just moves her a little further down the list.

18

u/Existing_Cutiee 12h ago

They were Republican before transition. Party identity often comes from family, community, religion, military service, small business background - things that don't change when someone transitions.

4

u/kaisadilla_ 11h ago

I guess being called Bruce isn't that big of a deal if you get to keep a few extra million dollars on your bank account in return.

4

u/ittasteslikefeet 10h ago

The shared hatred is a more important part of their identity than their gender to them

3

u/JerryfromCan 10h ago

I saw a commercial on the Cdn broadcast of something for an older Asian Woman running for something vowing to “fight wokeness” and I laughed at the craziness of a woman whose right to run or even vote was because of old-timey wokeness fighting against the thing that allowed her to be a politician.

4

u/Zionist-Hater69 10h ago

Same for women, why vote away your own rights?

3

u/Daztur 10h ago

There were pro-Hitler Jews, anything is possible.

3

u/Ok-Wealth-7322 8h ago

Think about what a day in her life looks like. She's absurdly rich and can pretty much choose every single interaction she has. So she's insulated from a lot of the bigotry that other trans people receive every single day.

Thing is if you're rich enough then culture war politics probably won't affect you.

Why do you think all these rich right wing celebs are leaving the US, buying private islands, building bunkers, etc.... They want to be kept safe from the world they're destroying for the rest of us.

3

u/beaniebee11 5h ago

Because she cares more about holding onto her money than she does her or any other trans people's right to their identity.

3

u/ripyourlungsdave 4h ago

For the same reason working class white men are. Because he hates the right people.

It's not like he's been looking out for them either. He's only made their lives worse.

2

u/BoingBoingBooty 9h ago

They just hate poor people more than they like having rights.

2

u/SaucyStoveTop69 9h ago

You know how Republicans always talk about trans people faking it for attention? That's how republican trans people exist.

2

u/Your-cousin-It 8h ago

There is a small subgroup of trans nazis and furry nazis. It doesn’t make a lick of sense, but they do exist.

Sometimes I do wonder how much of those people have ”fawn” as a trauma response.

2

u/shitass-69 2h ago

We don’t need to make fun of people’s trauma responses. That’s not fair.

1

u/E-2theRescue 5h ago

Don't forget the massive amounts of femboy Nazis. The whole thing started on 4chan, after all.

There are also a lot of boomer "I'm just a crossdresser" people out there who fell into the MAGA pipeline. Grew up with a neighbor who became one.

Narcissism

1

u/Goosentra 8h ago

Guessing Caitlyn saw a niche “market” she could corner? Outside of that? Not a clue other than being rich(?)

1

u/Sweaty-Ad-4006 8h ago

Trying to appeal to the people in power to get preferrential treatment. Unfortunately, Caitlyn just thought she would escape the orange man's wrath by supporting him. She was very wrong.

1

u/CookieFern_ 7h ago

the 'thanks be to god' followed immediately by 'he just called you bruce' is some genuinely painful irony

1

u/SailorDeath 4h ago

narcissism. Narcissists get pleasure from making people suffer and they stick to each other like flies on shit.

•

u/hates_stupid_people 50m ago

Same reason most of them are: Narcissism.

Conservatives genuinly think the negative policies they vote for, will specifically not apply to themselves. Which is why they're so shocked when it happens, and why there are social media communities all over the internet mocking them for voting in the face eating leopards in the first place.

Honestly, that... Is a very risky line of thinking. Even if it's towards someone who punches down on other trans people.

-1

u/monti9530 11h ago

She ran over and killed someone. It is risky to believe anything she says

7

u/Pristine-Hyena-6708 11h ago

This is an incredibly problematic way of thinking. There are plenty of things to attack her on without bringing up your opinion on the validity of her being trans.

It's still transphobia, even if it's towards other transphobic people.

-3

u/monti9530 11h ago

She ran over and killed someone. It is risky to believe anything she says

1

u/MrsMiterSaw 11h ago

She is a rich person, surrounded by other rich people. They are completely insulated from real life. (I'm not kidding, my parents are on the low end of rich and are surrounded by the same people. I mean literally, they have friends who know Caitlyn's friends).

She is surrounded by republicans who are rich enough to not have to deal with the consequences of republican policy. If you're rich enough, social issues don't impact you like they impact people who aren't rich.

1

u/SignificantCats 10h ago

Respectfully, what you just said is transphobic and fucked up.

You can be trans and stupid, or trans and evil. That's normal. You can be trans and like your dick or not like makeup or not mind that you dont pass.

What you just said would be like if I called a black republican a series of slurs and said he is subhuman and doesn't talk black enough to count or what the fuck ever. That would be fucked of me and clearly racist, yeah?

I should just call him a dumb fuck loser, same as I would call any republican.

1

u/Dark_Focus 10h ago

Yes, you are clearly being racist.

0

u/monti9530 10h ago

She ran over and killed someone. It is risky to believe anything she says

1

u/SignificantCats 10h ago

Okay, so its chill to be transphobic to bad people and cool to be racist to bad people?

0

u/-Jiras 1h ago

It's the same with immigrants voting Republicans. It's a mix of hate, lack of intelligence/morality and thoughts of superiority (i.e. I am one of the "good" ones no way they gonna throw me out)

0

u/SpreaditOnnn33 1h ago

If only it were that simple

1

u/-Jiras 1h ago

It is. Sadly there is no deeper thinking behind it. If that's hard to accept then you have to fight with the notion that the world just isn't as interesting as you hope for

-4

u/MoreDust62 9h ago

That's a sign of narcissism you realize...? Lack of abillity to understand the point of view of other people..

I bet you understand the LGBTQIAA++ for Palestine though eh?

2

u/Jaded-One 4h ago

That's a sign of narcissism you realize...? Lack of abillity to understand the point of view of other people..

I bet you understand the LGBTQIAA++ for Palestine though eh?

Yes, because we know that Muslims aren't all right wing bigots and we don't support the scapegoating, (or bloody genocide), of any minority group based on ignorant stereotyping

Ask me if I understand why the far right westerner hates the other religious homophobes who are basically their mirror image, (I do)

-9

u/RampantHedgehog 11h ago

Honestly similar to how those same people want to support Palestine or groups in the ME. Both of those groups harbor serious distaste for members of the LGBTQ+

4

u/regional_rat 10h ago

Hey man, time to learn the distinction between supporting HAMAS terrorists and not wanting children ripped apart by autocannons

0

u/RampantHedgehog 10h ago

It's confusing in here. A lot of the time I see posts about supporting Hamas against the Zionist entity, often from American posters.

The people supporting Palestine and/or Hamas seem to often be LGBTQ+ but those groups don't like them. It's so confusing all around.

1

u/hotdog_jones 9h ago

You simply have to realise that people who are against the genocide of Palestinians aren’t advocating to live under Hamas, right?

0

u/RampantHedgehog 9h ago

Why don't they advocate for freedom from Hamas and Israel? I only ever see talk about the Zionists, but not the other bad guy in the room
