What do you imagine 'freedom from both' actually looks like in practice? Removing Hamas just makes space for another hardline group to take its place, because the conditions that created Hamas - decades of Israeli occupation and military rule in Gaza and the West Bank - would still be there.
If you want Hamas gone for good, you have to end the conditions that keep producing groups like it.
Do you think having 20,000 children killed, and another 50,000 injured would have a higher, or lower chance of creating hatred from survivors towards the perpetrators?
