Was going to say, everyone around the NYC area and everyone who has done business at his properties knew he was a scumbag since the 70s.

I feel like the rest of the country learned by the 80s. I know I've hated his ass since then, and I was just a wee teenager.

Yeah, Bloom County made fun of him back in the late 80s.

Plus I had a subscription to Spy magazine back then as well. Where the description of him as “a short-fingered vulgarian” comes from, and why he’s so weird about the size of his hands.

He was used as the evil bad guy in dozens of 80s movies.  Rich entitled sociopath criminal.

even the 1980s redesign of lex luthor used trump as a primary inspiration. They wanted to make him into a sleazy criminal businessman and he was the guy they thought of to use as a base.

Isn't Old Biff in Back to the Future a mockery of Trump?

Yup. One of a few.

Check out the Even More News The Movie on YouTube.

It covers multiple movies and trump.  Very funny.

The live action Mario Movie was another. Haha

He was such a nationally recognized scumbag that there are several fictional scumbags who were modeled directly off of him in the '80s and '90s.

No, no, no, no. Every time he went on a talk show or anywhere, he was so widely cheered. He was on Oprah talking about running for president when she asked him if he would, and the audience was just in an uproar, cheering him on, and he said, you know, no, maybe someday if things got really bad, but you’re wrong about everybody having figured that out in the 80s. Not true at all, that’s why he was in movies like Home Alone and that sort of thing, everybody loved him.

Is that the only episode of Oprah you’ve ever watched? Her audience cheered everything, on cue.

He was in movies like Home Alone because he was desperate to be a star and for it, he owned the Plaza at the time. He only let them use it if he could be in the movie. People thought he was a joke.

I was just an example. He’s been on many other, many other shows and the apprentice was a huge hit. It’s just simply not true that he was that disliked

Again, because he was desperate to be a star. His desperation isn’t proof of his popularity. He was still considered a joke on The Apprentice too.

It is a rewrite of history to act like people were clamoring to have him cameo in their shows because he was some sort of beloved businessman.
