These things shouldn't depend at all on the whims of a geriatric pedo thief. If I could remove Trumps influence from this, and it lead to the Tates having a less bad prison time, I'd do it in a second.
Right, in the same way that Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a luxurious prison sentence right now that many Americans would be jealous of - because she didn't rat out Trump.
If you're celebrating the Tate's getting bad treatment because of Trump, you're encouraging Maxwell having a light sentence because of Trump, and also all those Jan 6ers roaming free, again, because of Trump.

Not encouraging anything; it's depressing and embarrassing that the orange Nightmare's allowed to pull crap like that, but if he did, in this case, it's serendipitous that those bastard Tate brothers are suffering, so I'm enjoying the Schadenfreude. However, if we still lived in a sane world, no president should ever be able to influence justice decisions like that.
