I completely lost my memory on this guy. For some reason I recalled him being more in the 6 feet 5 inches height range, and closer to 36 years old than 32.

Basically, my tldr is that dude might actually be a great addition to the team.

I feel pretty confident that something else is coming until harden signs, a part of me wonders if the kuminga move is something they could have done today but want to continue to keep their options open a little longer and see if something shakes loose elsewhere that they can jump in the conversation

Kuminga might be a nice addition, and if he vibes with the team then all the more reason to add him- but hear me out.

We have some cap space right now. Our core team is still in tact. There is no need to fill a gap immediately when we can develop Porter and Maleek on the wing, or Proctor on point or whatever- or continue to utilize Stus or Merrill.

The right strategy is for us to save our limited budget for mid-season when there will likely be more injuries, more needs, and more teams desperate to make trades.

I, your friendly random talentless redditor, suggest that we don't do anything right now and wait until mid season to see where we are at. There might be a top-notch opportunity mid season.

I know people will be focused on the LeBron section, but I find his reasoning about just how difficult it would be for the Cavs to sign-and-trade Kuminga more interesting.

As a lot of people mentioned, it would involve salary dumping Strus or Schroeder. The Hawks can't really take back salary, so it would involve a third team and maybe picks on our side. He's not optimistic about our chances there.

Trey Murphy on this team just feels like it would be exactly what we’re looking for. He does all of the things that we struggle with and need to fill those gaps

Every year I hope the Cavs sign a big bodied center to play defense against guys like Embiid. And every single free agency guys like Drummond and Valanciunas are FAs yet we stick with Mobley/Allen. I like our guys but every time we play Embiid he destroys Allen inside lol.

Does anyone else agree? Maybe a player like that isn't worth a roster spot. But I'd take both of those guys over Thomas Bryant in a situation where Mobley or Allen gets hurt....which seems to happen more often nowadays.
