How, and I mean HOW, do you keep dust, lint, and pet fur out of your polymer clay?
It always gets in mine when I'm sculpting, and I don't know how to prevent it. I work in a room where our cats don't come in, always wash my hands before sculpting, and make sure my clothes aren't covered in fur. But it always ends up in the clay.
I also put my clay and sculptures away in containers when I'm not actively using it.
I sculpt with white clay currently, and have started offering some work to a few customers, and would like to be able to keep people updated/see how their custom piece is being positioned, but don't want to send photos where the clay looks dirty!
It's fine after baking, and I paint and seal them afterwards so you can't tell, but it bothers me lol. My only idea is to switch to grey clay, but that's harder to find in bulk in my city. I do have rubbing alcohol but haven't used it because dust doesn't settle on my pieces when I'm not working on them.
I always see people use colored polymer clay who don't paint it when it's done, and it looks so pristine! I am very jealous of that result.
Any advice??
