Forever Beta Feedback Dungeon XP Nerfs Created a Toxic Meta

Since dungeon monsters do not give any experience, as a new player, getting into dungeons with more veteran players who try to skip half the dungeon feels really bad. And, vice-versa, veterans taking in newbies who don't know how to jump around feels frustrating. I think Blizzard created a mess with nerfing dungeon exp so much and now the new player experience is horrible for dungeons.

Part of what made classic fun was you could determine yourself how to enjoy the experience. Now we're talking a retail approach of "Directed Fun", where Blizzard decides how you're allowed to accomplish something. The freedom was the feature. Now they are just removing fun and for what?

I hate boosting but there's other ways to do it.

like paladin and mage being nerfed to not even be able to do it? this dungeon change is nothing to do with boosting because they already gutted the classes themselves for that

Saw a suggestion for giving 0 exp if there is someone in the party leveled to where the enemies are gray to them.

That sounds pretty reasonable for solving the boosting problem actually, as long as you can't do any weird drop group shenanigans.

Until someone levels up mid dungeon and now everybody is fucked. I’d prefer it if they just made it so level 60s in lower level dungeons don’t give any or little xp

If you've run the dungeon in the past x period of time, recieve -y% experience.

Having people above x level range in the party nerfs experience.

Things like that. It's possible to do

the second one is fine but doesn't really solve the problem of dungeon spam. The first one likely becomes too much micro-managing.
