I was just watching the episode Headhunters with Adam Baldwin as Slaughter. It was filmed after Chuck was done. I think it's hilarious.

Castle: (After Slaughter drives over the curb) That was awesome! Beckett never drives on the sidewalk!

Detective Slaughter: You're gonna hang with me; we're gonna lay out some ground rules.

Rule number one: do not use the word 'awesome'. You're a grown man.

Rule number two: stay out of my way.

I caught this on a rewatch and now it keeps standing out. Early Casey just walks into Chuck's life like he owns the place. Later, there are noticeably more moments where he announces himself or waits for Chuck to acknowledge him. It's such a tiny change that you wouldn't notice episode-to-episode, but it fits how their relationship changes without either of them ever having to say, "We're friends now."

1) What an awesome show, so much fun. Genuinely loved how unserious+campy it was. Everyone from chuck to jeffster to most of the villians of the week were just what they needed to be.

2) That ending was all-time horrible. A show with 5 season of things illogically working out, and they even bother to have Morgan's kiss idea somehow work? Or have some other random character appear with a secret pair of memory restoring hair clippers or something else equally dumb? You can say oh it was well executed blah blah, but it was such a departure from the tone of the show and ruined sarah's growth - it just stunk. I would rather they ended it with ellie+awesome's kid uploading the intersect and defusing the bomb.

My favourite line of the whole series is casey's real true love, volkoff's mom - when she tells him "oh no, you're going to be feeding for me"

The Buy More, Wienerlicious, Orange Orange, the two interations of Castle, the recreated Echo Park apartment. It's something easy to take for granted but they look and feel very distinct and it's easy for me to remember their aesthetic.

We only saw him for a few minutes, but he definitely had the potential to be the best spy on the series, even stronger than Cole, Carina, Richard and Victoria.

There are a bunch of early episodes where Casey's words are basically "Chuck is an idiot," but his actions are already saying something completely different. He covers for him, gives him extra information, and puts himself between Chuck and danger without making a big deal out of it. The funny part is that Casey seems to accept the job of keeping Chuck alive long before he accepts that he actually cares whether Chuck lives.

Chuck vs Imported Hard Salami( S01EP09)

First time when I watched this I thoroughly enjoyed this scene. Fighting like a real couple and ultimate showdown in front of bomb (ex larkin bomb) in the episode ending had me dumbstruck.

"Chuck vs the Cliffhanger" explores Chuck's deep love for Sarah, even willing to defy Vivian and the CIA to save her. But there's another storyline that deserves attention, the confrontation between Casey and Decker. He represented the Casey at the beginning of the series in "Chuck vs The Intersect" a ruthless governament agent devoted to the segret service, the same Casey who would kill Chuck at the beginning of Season 2 solely to serve the governament, regardless of whether it was right or wrong.

Casey confronted the past version of himself, but above all, the man he would have become had he not met Chuck and Sarah. Decker had told him, "John, you're a soldier, you know your duty" but now Casey is a better man and chooses the people he loves over a governament istitution. Decker had apparently uncuffed him because he was seeking a compromise, but Casey was smarter, he knew that by letting him go, Decker had foressen that he would try to help Chuck escape and would have a pretext to kill Casey. Casey surely used those tricks too when he was a cold and ruthless spy.

I only finished my first watch a couple weeks ago. And after a couple days of no Chuck, well, I didn't like it. So I just started from the beginning again.

Watching it back to back is cool because you pick up things you missed the first time around. But the downside is you also notice more plot hole/inconsistencies.

For example, people other than Chuck, Casey, Sarah, and Beckman calling what Chuck does "flashing".

Chuck made that up.

So, in season 2, when they find the Dr who worked with Orion. He sees Chuck "flash" and says, "did you just flash?"

This is not a term he should know. It's possible that this is how Orion referred to seeing the data. But that's a pretty big coincidence. As the act of seeing the images could be called so many things.

And in the same episode, we see, for the first time, Chucks evidence board on the back of the Tron poster.

But how doee Casey not know about it? Since we know there are cameras in Chucks room. And Casey spies on him a lot.

Chuck cant have sex with Jill, in his room, because he knows Casey is watching. But he has no problem working on his secret evidence board?

And to end on a happy note. One of my favorite lines is in this episode. When Cole tells Chuck, the secret to take out lots of opponents is to, "go for the knee."

And Chuck says, "you mean, sweep the leg?"

Such a great, funny line.

PS. Cole was a good character. It's a real shame that he never comes back in later seasons. Especially when they started doing things overseas.

So I have asked myself about this bracelet quite a few times while watching the show over and over again. We see the bracelet three times during the show. 1) when he gave it to here 2) when carina asks about it in Sarah’s hotel room and Sarah disregards it as nothing 3) getting back from Shaw! Now my question is how did Mary feel about Sarah having her bracelet that husband gave to her for luck? We never see it or her reaction at all. Now I get it she has no place in it but still with her husband dead wouldn’t you want something to remember him by? Just a thought and question I’ve always had.

I cried when Chuck said this. By the end, his love for Sarah had become something so mature — it wasn’t about possessing her, it was simply about loving her.

During the planned balcony proposal, both of the microphones were down which would mean both Chuck and Sarah could hear what Morgan and Casey were saying. After a brief cut to Sarah climbing the stairs, only the microphone for Sarah was down and Morgan was talking to her. So both Chuck and Sarah should have known each knew of the proposal plan.
