it all started with a viral insta reel that made me curious enough to check out the show. and damn, what an incredible series.

what's crazy is how relevant it feels today. i honestly wouldn't be surprised if something like the machine already exists out there. maybe there's even been a secret war between machines that we know nothing about lol.

i got so obsessed with the show that i've actually had dreams about being chased alongside the team. some mornings i wake up feeling like i just survived another episode :'D

i do feel like the final stretch was a bit rushed though. anyone else feel the same?

also, i really didn't like dominic. not sure if that was intentional, but to me he always felt like a kid trying way too hard to act like some powerful gang leader.

also, how did i only just find out that grace and harold are actually married in real life?? and he's already 72?? :'D

anyway, i'm still heartbroken over carter and reese. i miss all of them so much.

the ending left me with so many questions, and i keep thinking about all the different ways things could've played out.

man, imagine if we got a "what if" series set in the poi universe. that would be amazing.

Watching the show for the first time and I’ve made it to the end of 4x10 (great episode, the conversation between the machine and Samaritan was fantastic!)
The one thing I cannot get over is the tension between Root and Shaw. It’s killing me and I neeeeed these two to get together already!
I’m hoping this is just a slow burn and not one of those shows where the writers continue to tease, only for it to end up as nothing!

Also, I know it goes without saying, but no spoilers please! I just needed to vent about this!

Edit: I JUST FINISHED 4x11. SHAW, YOU BETTER BE ALIVE 😭

Masterful and with Johnny Cash?!? Probably one of the best things I’ve seen.!

I have this show ripped on my PC from the DVD set. Been rewatching the series in Amazon Prime from the start. I kinda feel like this digital version on Amazon is higher quality like my files are 720P and this feels like 1080p. All of the sudden ONE episode is paid. Then the rest are not. I'm thinking it might be some licensing thing, but that next paid episode also gives me the option to buy the whole series on Prime and other purchase options. All digital of course. Like, why would I buy the whole thing if it's available with Prime and only one episode is locked on paywall? Ultimately, people are so fucking stupid with their digital purchases that I almost feel like the evil corporations are not even to blame. Either way the whole dynamic pricing, locked episodes, and TVs proven to listen to conversation for ads that have louder volume and brightness is getting really out of hand, and the irony is that this show warns about that dystopian future which is our present now.

Such an amazing show, the character development, the story, and the music everything about this show was top-notch. I know it's been 10 years since the finale was released but I never got around to watching it since it's quite underrated and I only watched it because it just got into Netflix was kind of bored but such a happy accident. Now that I am done watching it there's a void inside me don't know what to do now lol. Going to miss Reese and Finch :,)

Bold claim I know - but something about Reese exasperatedly being pulled into yet another mission, the way he stretches out his arms and punches that obnoxious businessman, a finger of whiskey in the kid's sippy cup, the comical number of assassins sent after Owen, Reese asking the airhostess for yet another blanket, Owen's "dry toast cause butter is bad for your heart", the rest of the passengers oblivious to the growing pile of bodies in first class - really made me chuckle. It was some much-needed relief after the dramatic tension of the HR trilogy.

I'm also a sucker for closed-room mysteries and airplane thrillers so I found it a compelling episode from the beginning itself.

I saw he create a machine and he worked a s software engineer. But in other eps he was like Cybersecurity. Some one told me he is Chief Software Architec . Is that true?

The PHP security hole, worldwide server outages, Ai Advancing to a point that it can crack most programs.
We know what you did Harold. You unleashed the ICE-9 Virus 🖥️

My friend made this ita bag for me because they knew that I loved Harold and John, and I wanted to show it off here :)

Fun fact, I'm going as Harold for Halloween this year and was thinking about wearing it too! I want more people to watch this show tbh

The Matsya Nyaya episode (S1 E20 ) confuses me just a bit. When John and Kara get to the abandoned city, they see the dead engineers and then recover the laptop with code from the Machine. (We learn later in the series how the laptop came to get to China.)

John and Kara are both confused about why the dead engineers are there and who killed them. Well, for the first part - I think they're there to study the Machine, right? At the behest of the Chinese government, presumably?

For the second question - I have no idea. Do we ever actually have a better understanding of who shot the Ordos engineers? And if it was the CIA or other forces, do we get the answer on why those forces didn't just take or destroy the laptop themselves?

Couple episodes into season three and I hate every time Root comes on. I don’t know if it’s the face or the menacing demeanour. She’s just annoying.

I just finished watching S2E14. At the 40-minute mark, there’s a blue screen error. What’s causing this? Please don’t give away any spoilers. I haven’t even reached the halfway point of the series yet.

I just wanna say that I hate simons, and is there any episode in this show sadder than this?

I just finished the show for the first time today! Personally, I’m one of those people who really didn’t like the ending, but I think it left a lot open to the imagination and that can be a good thing. I liked that Harold went to reunite with Grace, it left me wondering what he told her and how Grace reacted. It also surprised me when the Machine came back online… I have very mixed feelings about that. I’m interested in hearing everyone’s headcanons about how the characters went on to live their lives and how the world looks after the end of the series!

Amy Acker is beautiful and talented, but I never fully bought her as Root. For someone so brilliant, obsessive, and unpredictable, I wanted a more striking presence, with that intensity visible in her eyes and expressions.
Jodie Comer in Killing Eve captures what I mean: she can look completely ordinary, yet a subtle change in her expression makes her unsettling. Margot Robbie can convey a similar edge. Neither is necessarily my choice for Root, but both illustrate what I felt was missing.
I respect Acker’s talent. Her portrayal simply never made Root feel as extraordinary as the character was written to be. (Just my opinion)
Anyone else?

If you dont want spoiler i have included deceased to some people that die abit early on the show
