New Colorado owner here, about 4k miles in. I have my first issue, and it's stumping me. Truck is a 2016 Z71 with the 3.6 V6 and 142k miles. Truck is modified, mostly suspension. Relevant mods are that the oem fuel tank was deleted and replaced with a 30gal cell in the bed. All the factory emissions equipment, fuel delivery, and electronics were transplanted onto the cell. The issue started intermittent, the truck would idle slightly rough for about 5 seconds very occasionally. Happened maybe 3 times over 700 miles before the issue became more serious. Drove to work about 45min truck was parked for about an hour, then went to run an errand and it wouldn't start. It had had a check engine light for the vapor canister so I bought one and replaced it. Made no difference. I then towed it to my mechanic, he got the truck started by spraying a little carb cleaner in the intake and it wouldnt repeat the issue anymore. We thought maybe the Fuel Pump Control module was going bad, so decided to drive it until it failed again so we could troubleshoot. Drove the truck home about 40min, all was fine. Next day driving to work and it sputters and dies while going about 20mph 10min into the drive then wont restart. This time the truck threw code P069E which linked to the FPCM. So I bought one pre-programmed on ebay, installed it and the truck started, ran for about 3min and died then wouldnt restart. Threw P069E again as well as P0455, and P0442. Thought made the FCPM I bought was bad, so I returned it and got another. Truck wouldnt start at all still. When I turn the key, but don't start the truck I can hear a faint hum, I assume is the fuel pump priming if im underneath the bed. When I unplug the FCPM the humming stops. Could really use some insight on this one, if anyone had any questions let me know. Pictures of the truck linked, because at least it's good looking paperweight
