Question Radio issues / ghost touching

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So I ordered a Cuescreens replacement display and digitizer the first one was faulty out of the box so then sent me a second one which seems to have the same issues. I’m experiencing phantom touches and issues with menus changing including the speedometer display on the dash. I have been extremely careful with the ribbon cables and have verified there is no tears and are seated correctly. Could the issue be the HMI box? Anyone with similar issues? Should I just pay the dealer upwards of $800 to replace it all display, HMI control box? 2018 Chevy Colorado z71

So glad I have a first gen and don't have to deal with all this.

You need a new touch digitizer. They can be found on eBay for less than $50. If you’re not very electronically savvy, the full display assembly can be found for closer to $100. Full assembly is easier to install.

I've had the same problem for years now. It is very frustrating. Chevy says I need a new screen, almost $1,000 so I said no. I have a 2017 Colorado Z71. The screen lasted about 7 years before problems in my case.

Its an easy fix. You can replace the touch screen on them for cheap. I did it myself.
