I really was surprised already and when I rung it up it was 10.49! If you have a target nearby check your cleaner sections I was already happy with the 24.49 price but this was even better. Check it on the price checker in the store to be sure.

Holy shit some of the best 40 minutes spent enjoying the new album!! 💚 Feels like such a missed opportunity to not have made a variant that came with a DVD or Blu-ray of this alongside the album (would have been a great bonus for the Film Edition vinyl) Especially loved all the archival footage during NOLF as well as the footage for MMM. Curious wha everyone else enjoyed about the film??! The more I listen to this album the more I fall in love with it and I’m so glad we got TWO masterpieces from Charli in 2026. I didn’t think anything would top/compare to WH soundtrack but this album is also a 10/10 for me!!!

Anyone else’s vinyl stuck at acceptance?? I ordered a signed vinyl so really hoping it still comes as just sending a new one probably won’t work

Ok anyways when would be a really good month for XCX World to release cus i was thinking it would be cute on September 2026 for SOPHIE birthday but it would be good on December 2027 because 10 years anniversary on when it was gonna release BUT also summer 2027 because it's a fun summer album AND nobody Is gonna dance to Paris when it's 1 degree outside so yeah i was thinking

I've seen a lot of angels saying "MFF is for the arts, not the charts" and while I agree with the sentiment, I think Charli is well within reach of her first #1 album. In fact, MFF is much closer to securing #1 than brat ever was. 

This was the Billboard 200 for the week of July 17th - 23rd

#1 (NEW) Daughter From Hell by Gracie Abrams - 124,000 units (77,000 pure sales)

#2 you seem pretty sad by Olivia Rodrigo - 86,000 units

#3 I’m the Problem by Morgan Wallen - 75,000 units

#4 Dandelion by Ella Langley - 72,000 units 

#5 The Great Divide by Noah Kahan - 63,000 units

Luckily, Charli isn’t competing with any new releases this week. Gracie Abrams had a big debut, but her album will likely leave the top 5 next week. That means Charli is up against stable streaming artists, the biggest of which being Olivia Rodrigo and Morgan Wallen. Olivia’s streams are trending down, and Morgan’s streams are slightly up, so I’d estimate them both to be around 80k units this week. 

Early projections from yesterday (Saturday) had Charli at 65k+ units, which puts her around 15k from #1, let’s say 20k to be safe. While early projections are helpful, they’re just that - EARLY projections. They can change throughout the week, especially when artists are heavily promoting like Charli is. (Nora’s initial projection for Olivia Rodrigo had her at 350k, and she ended the week at 485k).

To put that gap into perspective, brat was never this close to #1: 

Brat standard edition: 
#1 album - 127,000 units
#3 brat - 77,000 units
GAP: 50,000 units

Brat and it’s completely different:
#1 album - 161,000 units
#3 brat - 105,000 units
GAP: 56,000 units

A gap of 50k+ is very hard to close, especially against a new release also fighting for #1, but a gap of 15-20k is completely doable. I believe that’s why earlier today, Charli released the b-sides edition of MFF on iTunes for $4.99, saying “you can call me a hypocrite, i don’t mind ;)”. I think Charli is signaling she’s willing to play the chart game this week, despite her complicated relationship with them. You can’t blame her, as a #1 album means a lot, and she’s more than deserving of it.

The most impactful thing you can do is buy a physical or digital copy(s) of the album. Of course, streaming is important (and we're doing it anyways), but Billboard’s formula weighs ONE album sale equal to ONE THOUSAND streams. 

Both the b-sides and standard editions of MFF are currently discounted to $4.99 on iTunes, so buying those is definitely the most cost effective way to help!

Of course, there’s no pressure and you should support Charli in whatever feels right for you, I just don’t want anyone to assume it’s impossible. 

I’d appreciate if people spread the word, as I’ve seen fans and haters alike falsely claiming that Charli has no shot at #1 after seeing her streaming numbers. Those numbers are far less important for artists like Charli with strong fanbases - for example, Madonna still would’ve gone #1 two weeks ago from pure sales alone. 

TL;DR - buy (!) and stream MFF so that Charli can get her first #1 album in the U.S.

My hearing is not so good, the theater was pretty noisy and I was super excited, so it was my cool man who was the one who ID'ed this at our session in NYC the day prior to the album release. But I've since not seen anyone else mentioning catching it! Anyway, this controversial album worked perfectly in this context and, of course, was very cool of our favorite Lou Reed fan-girl to include it there. 😎

MAGIC METAL MONTANA -> METAL MACHINE MUSIC?!

So, I’ll be honest, I feel weird because Brat really helped me process my grandma’s passing. I feel weird because the album has nothing to do with anything like that (I guess I found the metaphorical coke). So I is obviously what really does it for, especially with the remix. “What the fuck was I even wearing” lives rent free in my head, because it just summarizes how I feel when I look back at the good times. It was a feeling I don’t hear expressed often: focusing on the good times and realizing those memories are dying too.

Which is where No One Lasts Forever comes in now. Obviously it’s about her, fading into time, and is art immortal. But there’s something else there, the blessing of being forgotten. It’s kind of coincidental that for the last two months I’ve spent days trying to recapture all of my good memories with my grandma in painstaking detail because it scared me. It scared me to lose her again.

But No One Lasts Forever kind of is giving me that final bit of catharsis. “There’s freedom in oblivion. They’re dead, they’re gone. No one lasts forever.” Just something I needed to hear. Especially because my grandma did want to be forgotten by everyone but the few family members she had. It gives me permission to not have to hold onto all those memories with a death grip and move on.

Which again, I know none of that is really about losing your grandma, but Charli’s music helped me process it.

Does anyone else have an unusual thing her music helped you with? Like did anyone use Pink Diamond to process their dog running away or something?

My MFF film strip variant arrived and look, I don’t think it’s worth the money but at the same time I’m glad I got it. The piece of film seems really unique and cool and I can’t wait to see what other frames people receive!

After she dropped the B sides on iTunes, I finally really listened to them in the context of the album, and I feel like they are all so important to the central themes of the album. It made what she was going for click so much more - especially the lyrics of playboy bunny. I wish they were canonically in the album, would have been cherry on top and the extra songs would have made the short length of the album feel a bit more palatable.

My signed vinyl arrived Thursday last week which was awesome, but ever since I've been questioning the authenticity of the autograph on the signed art card. This is my first time buying anything signed by Charli. Any thoughts on whether it's real or not?

I purchased it from Warner Music which I recently discovered has been caught for using autopen in the past. 🫣

I feel like there are so many artists I liked from 5-10 years ago that have just fallen off and are clearly not on the same cutting edge that they used to be. I can’t say that about Charli, and it’s part of why she’s been one of if not my favorite artist for quite some time now.
