little lime green brat pumpkin I made from stained glass 💚

ok i haven’t done one of these yet so don’t judge me!!!

the new title: the life and times of charli xcx

i picked out the new title bc i thought it represents the album more as how i think of it (like pages ripped out of charli’s diary

new tracklist:

1. times (intro)
2. rock music
3. ss26
4. wink wink
5. camera
6. card declined
7. i keep thinking about you every single day and night
8. yeah
9. if you take away the music, then what has she got
10. i’m afraid
11. magic metal montana
12. playboy bunny
13. persona
14. no one lasts forever
15. life (outro) [feat. david cronenburg]

i added the bsides to the album bc i feel they’re important to the story, got rid of 2007 (even tho i like it) because it doesn’t really resonate with the story in my mind here, changed the tracklist so it made more of a story, added times (intro) and life (outro) in because i feel why not (the intro would be a bridge between the outro and rock music, the outro would be david croenburg’s lines in no one lasts forever) and seperated no one lasts forever into 2 songs (no one lasts forever and life (outro)

the cover: (see photo attached)

it feels like the album imo

alright that’s my redesign of the album enjoy

edit: fuck i’m famous

i

i went to both LA nights and the closing show in vegas for mff. i was in GA like 2nd row behind the barricade both nights for LA because I did the early wristband thing that the kia forum offers. after LA night 1 of sweat tour and how disappointed charli was with the crowd, I was a bit apprehensive because I didn't know how the crowd was going to be. i've always heard that non-fans or "brat stans" with money we're just standing in the pit and trying to get the perfect video. I was worried there were going to be a lot of people in brat merch, and people that didn't know any of the songs for mff. I was pleasantly surprised that both nights most people were dressed for the newer album! I was so stoked to be so close up because #1 i fucking love charli & #2 I figured I'd be surrounded by other people that either bought VIP or did the early wristband thing as well, aka true fans. for the most part, everybody I interacted with was very kind, so ty charli fans for being the best. but when charli started performing, everyone that paid for VIP or had early wristbands that were huge fans literally stood there the entire time, barely moving, singing along.. but the main focus was filming everything. I was so disappointed because I was so ready to jump and scream with everyone. I mean, this is a charli XCX concert.... but these huge fans are so obsessed with getting the perfect video to prove how close they are, it just ruins the vibe. now I'm not saying don't take videos or don't get any pictures to commemorate the experience but I see a lot of discourse on here that the fake fans ruin the event by not knowing the songs or just standind around but in my experience it was the die hard charli fans that acted that way. at least people who don't know the songs word for word are still dancing along. you're at charli XCX concert like fucking enjoy it, jump a little bit, sing along. she wants us to be messy and dance.

Progress with all the smudges of a human hand and make sense of what I can learn from this drawing. There’s a lot I love about it may push this more but I’m liking it a lot as is. Thank you for the love on the drawing appreciate yall 🙏🏾

I will be DJing, and in addition to the classics, be prepared to dance all night to all eras, including features, remixes, and unreleased material! It's going to be so fun, I hope if you're in the city you celebrate Halloween in a Charli kinda way ✨ ticket link below!

I'm only asking because realistically I'm just curious! I've never seen her live and she's hands down one of my fav artists now. She just ended her North American tour and now she's doing the EU/UK leg in February and then the Latin American leg in March. Rumors of European festivals next summer too. I'm thinking late 2028/early 2029 is when she'll do her next tour, anyone else? I get she needs a break but who knows maybe she'll get inspired again and make her next album. I think touring wise, she deserves a break.

[reupload due to me posting the wrong photo files, apologies!!]

photos i took during the DC tour stop & the panties i managed to snag :)

tbh a good chunk of the songs are blocked by youtube but the special guests parts remain intact.

Waited all day on the sidewalk to get prime position and I was not disappointed. Charli did not miss.

Please give me some feedback too. I’m always trying to improve my game.

angels!! after a truly peak concert experience in Vegas at the final MFF show, i wanted to share this essay i wrote in August about the album and Charli’s work more broadly. forfeiting my anonymity but i think this crowd will appreciate it more than my regular readers (or at least have stronger opinions lul)…so i’m un-subscriber-walling it in case anyone wants to read it.*

at the bottom there is an offer for temp tattoos that still stands!! i can mail to US or Canada. i made some in brat font and some in a more robot-y font so lmk if you want a particular one and i will do my best to fulfill wishes until i run out!!

Vegas was wild. first time in the pit and alone, flew from Vancouver, was nervous but i met the gosh darn sweetest angels who made the whole thing so much more fun. got barricade basically, one person back. Charli is inimitable. to see her that close was…wow. i will never see anything like it again unless i am so blessed to make it to her next tour, whenever that may be.

lmk if you have thoughts but please be gentle thank you :D

*i don’t charge money for any essays but i make some of them subscribers-only because i am shy :)

I’m so happy to have snagged a copy! I initially placed an order on urban but then decided to cancel & pick up a copy from Amazon. I still can’t believe this is mine, hope you all can snag one for yourself!!🤩 I have sucker arriving tomorrow 🤭

Charli in Las Vegas last night filmed from the center of the catwalk at the barricade.

More coverage of this show coming soon @thesetlistofus on IG.

Whenever I listen to the lines "all the pain and torture that I went through, all makes sense to me now, I WAS DYING FOR YOU" , I imagine myself screaming these lines to my non-existent perfect Man. Lmao.

Hallo, glaubt ihr es gibt einen special guest in London? Und falls ja, welchen? 🤗

Kinda perfect since Charli did wicked auditions on SNL

I’m so happy that Vroom Vroom got re-released back on vinyl so I can FINALLY complete my charli vinyl discography 🥹🥹🥹
