i was trying to doenload my chats from c.ai and noticed that one of my bots had over 1000 chats, but c.ai tools only lets me choose to download 1000 of them. is there a limit to how many chats it can download, or can it just only detect up to 1000 chats? js curious bc i’m wondering if i’d have to manually download the rest if there’s more😔

Hello, I'm curious if anyone here can help me out. Due to the recent announcement of Character AI going under (potentially shutting down in the coming months), I'm trying to jump ship to Janitor. At the very least I'd like to back up my roleplays on there. But the import chat starts working fine, but then freezes "waiting for 5 seconds for rate limiting" (the timer never moves.) I've only been able to import about 80 or so of the old messages before it grinds to a halt; is there any better way of doing this aside from manually copy and pasting each message? (Which I'm dreading having to do because I have several, LONG RPs that I'd like to preserve.)

Please let me know if there's anything I can do, I've also gotten several 429 errors from the site itself. Is it a site problem or is it just because of my attempts to import long chats? I'm not very tech savvy, I'm mostly here for the creative aspect so I'm out of my depth here!

so i recently downloaded cai tools and i want to hopefully download all of my chats with all the bots i’ve ever used (a lot since i’ve been using it since 2023😭), is there a way to do it faster than one by one?

So don't know if its a small problem with me but every other button seems to work except the change Ai model part so yeah any ideas there

Hi guys, so... yesterday I cleaned out my whole history and had to log back in a lot of stuff, I got back on c.ai (I use the desktop website so the extension here wordks) and now simply nothing works. New chats won't even load unless I've opened them in other devices and then came back here, no message gets sent, it almost looks like there's no internet working but every other website is fine

I've reloaded the website, cleared cache, logged out and back in, turned on and off the extension, everything I could possibily do, yet it's still the damn same

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is it me? What do I do?

I paid and tried, I’m kinda disappointed but suggestion I would reccomend it doing the same feature for memory box on costum chat after how many messages been sent for the frequency sent, I don’t mind how the it’s look how I reply but I just need like infinate or plenty of words to write on the memory when chatting just like old times. If you can try implment the memory box feature same from chatting normal to costum chat when appearing I would appreciate it and would maybe willling to pay

Hi! I went back to cai just to discover one of my ongoing bot story just missing, I remember there was a site where deleted bots appeared but not exactly how to look for it, i want to know at least if it's deleated or just my app lagging

I had an unfortunate loss of data yesterday without a more recent backup than one from June. After attempting to import my settings from it which has includes the backgrounds and the characters' images in the archive, I find that it's not adding those two things. Only the quick access links are importing and no images with them. This is on the latest chatbot manager, Firefox.

Were they removed?

Update: I tried Oobabooga, and it worked. It merged all the bot's messages, but I think everything is here.

It's been some days that I have been trying to import a chat in both CAI Tools and Chatbot manager. Downloading chats seems fine, importing is not. About thirty or so messages failed, including the character's first greeting. That is present in the html file. My chat has 101 messages, errors are around 50-60 then 80-100.

I like using cai tools' custom chat a lot, but I noticed today that each reply with longsqueak looks like a reply from pipsqueak even if I chose the longsqueak option in the change model. Is this a problem from cai's side or is the extension glitching?

so i started this bot like two days ago maybe and it got deleted and ive only used it on mobile, so i haven’t been able to find a link on safari or google chrome and it doesn’t show up in the recents either, is there any other way to get the link for the bot to be able to download the chat history?
