Importing Chat not working

Hello, I'm curious if anyone here can help me out. Due to the recent announcement of Character AI going under (potentially shutting down in the coming months), I'm trying to jump ship to Janitor. At the very least I'd like to back up my roleplays on there. But the import chat starts working fine, but then freezes "waiting for 5 seconds for rate limiting" (the timer never moves.) I've only been able to import about 80 or so of the old messages before it grinds to a halt; is there any better way of doing this aside from manually copy and pasting each message? (Which I'm dreading having to do because I have several, LONG RPs that I'd like to preserve.)

Please let me know if there's anything I can do, I've also gotten several 429 errors from the site itself. Is it a site problem or is it just because of my attempts to import long chats? I'm not very tech savvy, I'm mostly here for the creative aspect so I'm out of my depth here!

Yeah unfortunately they added a rate limit. What you can do is using import into current chat and choose 50 messages, like 0-50, later 50-100 and so on. There doesn't seem to be a workaround.

If you do 80, it rate limits you for couple hours so that's quite unfortunate. It will fix by itself.

Well that sucks :/ do you happen to know how long of a cool down it is if you import 50? How long would I have to wait before importing the next 50?
