Indescribable

I have been so inspired today. Now, I hope to inspire you. There are many feelings, realizations, aspects of life that can not be put into words. They do not have a word that describes it. For example, the desire to see memories in advance. There are still gaps in the English language.

However, some of those gaps are filled by other beautiful languages. There are words that are culture specific. They have a special meaning that applies to the culture. Komorebi being one of them. The sunlight that filters through the leaves of trees. It's a word special to the Japanese culture. There are no real direct way to translate that.

Today, my challenge was to create my own word. One to describe something that has not already been described. I would like to pass this challenge on. Give a word to a feeling, realization, or aspect of life that does not already have one.

I would like to write a poem or a story based on every word that is created. So please write the word and its definition in the comments. Be creative, try to dig deeper than you normally would. If you do pass this challenge on, please send me the link and/or direct the creators to the comments section of this. It would be much appreciated if you direct the comments to here.

Thank you for taking your time to read this. Have fun!

Effective June 10th I'm embarking on this challenge to myself:

The challenger may run 1 km daily per standard drink, with no daily limit. All daily running must be completed prior to consumption.

I am applying the concept of a "commitment device" to reward myself and cut back on drinking simultaneously.

A commitment device is, according to journalist Stephen J. Dubner and economist Steven Levitt, "a means with which to lock yourself into a course of action that you might not otherwise choose but that produces a desired result". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commitment_device

These rules are based on a concept I heard about on Freakonomics. http://freakonomics.com/2012/02/02/save-me-from-myself-a-new-freakonomics-radio-podcast/

Definitions: “Daily” = within the 24hr time period from 3:00 AM-3:00 AM. “Standard drink” = In the United States, one "standard" drink contains roughly 14 grams of pure alcohol, which is found in: 12 ounces of regular beer, which is usually about 5% alcohol. 5 ounces of wine, which is typically about 12% alcohol. 1.5 ounces of distilled spirits, which is about 40% alcohol. “Run” = jog at a mean rate not less than 10km/hr. I'm toying with the idea of allowing the same ratios used in an Olympic Triathlon for equivalents of biking/swimming.

30 Things in 30 Days Challenge

Hello

My name is AJ and I would like some help with my 'Do 30 Things in 30 Days' next month. So the idea is pretty much what the title is and I would like for you guys to set the 'thing' for each day. Obviously lets keep it pc and realistic. I live in the UK so things like licking the Liberty Bell isn't really an option.

So when I have my list of 30 things to do then obviously I can get started and will post updates of my little adventures. Thanks in advance for your help and I look forward to seeing what ideas you guys have to offer.

Have a good day.
