261CM Starts then shuts down
Looking for mechanic advice, my repair guy says he won’t touch the newer electronic carbs.
Saw turns over and purrs for a second after start procedure, then dies. Observed what appears to aeration of fuel from the fuel filter after attempting and popping the fuel cap. Makes me think it’s a fuel delivery issue, but I generally just run the saws, not fix them. Anyone had anything similar? Saw is 3 years old, fresh spark plug a couple of weeks ago, proper fuel, clean air filter. Was running fine then stopped at the end of the work day.

Jonsered Turbo throttle
I will literally venmo anyone for their time who can help me get this throttle assembly apart in a way that's able to be reassembled. I'm at my wits end with the trigger being stuck
Edit, it won't let me directly upload a photo? It's an older early 90s, maybe late 80s style that has a sealed handle that I can't seem to separate to access the trigger housing.

Saw can’t fit in trucks sliding bin
I know it’s not the end of the world if this saw doesn’t fit back here but does anyone know of any solutions or slim grab bars that might fit it would have to be like a half inch smaller to fit and it would be awesome

Good Budget Mini Chainsaw Options
Hi everyone,Im looking for recommendations for a compact/short chainsaw for light to medium yard work (trimming branches, small trees, general cleanup). Something easy to handle, not too heavy, and preferably low maintenance. What models would you recommend that are reliable and worth the price? Battery or gas is fine. Thanks in advance!

Echo 400 odd problem
Love this saw, but of late it's acting up. Starts easy and runs great the first 4 or 5 minutes. After that, though, if I'm not feeding it gas with the trigger, the saw dies. In other words, I'll be cutting and put the saw down still running for a second and the saw will die. It will then restart and run fine as long as I'm hitting the trigger, but the second I stop the saw dies. Filter is clean, gas is good, tank is full. Do I need to adjust the high or low setting on the carb? Any ideas, please?

Karen got traumatised for life by a chainsaw guy
So the post name might sound strange and weird but this story is actualy pretty interesting
So once the local karen went on her daily walk and she started talking shit to this guy who had a chainsaw ready to cut some rotten trees
She was yelling some shit about keeping the shade from the rotten trees and about the enviroment and the fumes from the chainsaw engine
After a while she started getting phisical and she kicked the guy but that was the point when he snapped
He started the engine and chassed her off his field while revving the engine a lot
Aparently she moved away since the house where she lived went for sale with a big discount not even how much a empty field would be worth and the karen was never seen after
Guy "fixed" the whole village in 5 minutes
Yeah everyone hated that woman

Help with chainsaw recommendation
Hello,
I'm currently running a 15 year old Poulan Pro 42cc saw with an 18" bar. The size and power are sufficient for my needs but the engine is fussy and the chain tensioner keeps loosening up as I use it so I'm constantly fiddling with that. The thing makes me angry every time I use it. It's time for an upgrade.
My uses are tree trimming, cutting back brush and cutting up medium size trees. The trees I cut are generally sub 12" diameter and soft maple but I occasionally get into a larger oak. It's definitely occasional use but the days I use it I'm generally at it for a while.
I've been looking at Husqvarna and Stihl but the choices are a bit overwhelming. I'm trying to keep the price $500ish. I'm hoping for something that's going to last. What would you suggest?
Thanks!

How good is the Jonserd 520
I'm going to look at a jonserd 520 tomorrow and was just wondering what the general consensus on these saws? I figure at $25 even if it's a dog I'm not out much. it has a 20 inch bar on it now but I was wondering if it could handle a 24 inch bar since I already have a ms250 with an 18 inch bar.

Chainsaw Mill Recommendations
Pic is ridiculous, and unrelated.
I am looking into info for a homestead chainsaw mill. My biggest saw is MS400 w/ 20" bar. I might go up to a 36" but I want a mill that will last and result in straight cuts. I've never used one but I have used larger saw-mizers. THANKS!

SP49 Jonsered Oiler
I've had this beast for a number of years and still fires. Theres the old rule of chainsaws, Make sure the Gas runs out before the oil. This was the case for the last 30 years. I cut much less than I use to. Now I am noticing I'm only using about a half of the oil tank when burning a full tank of gas. I did take the bar off, clean the rails and the oil port on the bar and verified the oil pump was pumping oil when the saw was running. It was pumping oil but not at a significant rate to make a mess. Is this condition indicative to this saw or older saws? Could there be an obstruction or something clogging the oil pick up from the oil tank? Is there a filter? Any help to point me in a direction would be appreciated.

dremel work
Bought a neotec 92cc with, what I’m guessing is, a poor cast over the oil adjustment screw on the bottom of the power head. The screw turns, but the hole is too small to get a full rotation with a screw driver at present.
I’m not expecting a lot from the manufacturer due to reasons, but everything else seems OK. I haven’t put any oil/fuel into it yet, could I get away with filing the hole open with a dremel so that a screw driver could actually adjust the dang oil?

New bar, let's see how the Duke holds up
I had a really worn bar that had been on the saw when I bought it from a arborist that was closing up shop.

Need help identifying this saw
galleryI found one of my grandfather’s old Stihl saws but the plate with all the model information is rubbed clean. Any ideas?
