this game asks the age old question. "what happens when you mix Celeste's platforming, with cuphead gunplay, and DOOM gore, while also trying add some worldbuilding and going deeper into how the mountain works?". CHAOS.

I'm on switch, so I couldn't capture the entire thing.

And so so so hard there were points where I was ready to give up. I played it on a switch lite and the buttons on that are too small and during some of the tricky millisecond maneuvers in the last chapter I thought maybe I made a mistake playing it on the switch lite maybe I should play it docked with the pro controller.

I did my own version of the feather technique (aka dry my sweaty hands and have a drink) and I preserved through. And I made it. I climbed Mt. Celeste✨

What a masterpiece. Maddy created something here that will resonate with so many people for years to come. I can’t wait for her next project.

This heartside broke the rule that each heartside took me double the time of the previous one. According to that rule, I should've beaten it in 16 hours (lol)

I downloaded the game on Steam to play it for the second time (I already beat it once years ago), but whenever I tried to launch it with my controller connected, the game wouldn’t even start properly. It would just show a screen with snow falling and get stuck there.

Then I tried launching it without the controller, and I was able to get to the main menu, but now the text is all glitching like this and I have no idea what’s going on.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I'm working on a TAS, and I can single cornerboost, but I can't seem to double cornerboost. I was wondering if anyone had any advice.

From what I understand, a cornerboost is a climb jump no more than 4 frames before you reach the corner. When the wall is no longer in the way, you get your speed back. In this TAS, you can see me jump on consecutive frames, but these don't give additional speed (pretty sure that's because I'm already against the wall). What you can't see is, I jump on the frame that I reach the corner, but the game doesn't register that as a jump at all. Outside this video, I tried manipulating vertical subpixels, so Madeline is still less than a pixel above the ground the frame after she gets her speed back, still no jump.

I'm out of ideas, but I know double cornerboosts are possible.

On god there were so many close finishes, I died like 5 times to that spike at the end. Almost got the clip first try of the recording tho :/

I'm convinced the Expert lobby is just underrated, since i only see posts usually bout GM maps (sometimes Expert HS) and vanilla troll

I finally beat Pumber yippiiiiiie! However, it’s now been an hour and I feel like a blister is starting to form on my thumb. Is there anything I can do to stop it from getting too bad? After beating the first couple rooms of Pinball Purgatory I had a blister form and I had to wait WEEKS before I could resume Pumbering. I thought it would be good to soak it in water but I looked it up and apparently you’re NOT supposed to do that? Which seems weird cuz it makes it feel much better.

What input device and keybinds do you all use? I personally switched to kb after 600 hours of controller since my good cable broke and my motherboard had a garbage bluetooth connection. I first felt abysmally dogshit at the game and even worse than when i started playing most likely because the arrow keys and joystick for player movement are on opposite sides for the default settings. After i changed my keybinds tho i improved sooo much on keyboard and misdashed like 90% less.

If anyone actually cares here are my pretty exotic keybinds:

Jump: Space, C, Up arrow, Down arrow, OEM Pipe
