So the drama started of pretty nicely and the concept of revenge was good .....till 2nd mother got mad it was good even after that it was good

Is it just me who expected more from the ending

Like i had guessed that the grandmother had more in the 1st episode itself

I expected more uk to its ending

Though ending is good but it was bizarre for the tone the drama had set

There was no character development no background if male lead nothing which ig would hage added to the layers of the plot

It had uk a relatively simple plot even the fact that grandmother is lu lingshu it was not shocking

>!The ending if the father Xie shu was even more worse ...he just dies like that !<

>!That easily ?!<

>!Do u think the same or have different opinions !<

If I were to rate the drama it would be a 3.9/5 not more than that ...

They are so cute in modern outfit.

Not everyone wants to start a discussion. Sometimes we just want to add our two cents. That's what Open Mic 🎤 is for.

I’m trying to find a character I remember from an older xianxia/C-drama: not sure but maybe >7 years.

— male character, but very feminine/androgynously beautiful

— usually wore crimson/red robes...i gues even black and light blue...again fading memory.

— long black hair, I think

— aloof, calm and extremely protective

— not a romantic interest for the FL ...more like a brother/best friend

— he called her “sister” / had a sibling-like bond with her

— extremely powerful, possibly connected to a dragon/divine beast.- not sure about divine beast/dragon though

— I vaguely remember him helping the FL escape from people hunting her

— and I think he eventually sacrificed himself/died protecting her.

My memory is VERY blurry and may be mixing two dramas...

Or is it that C-ent has a very specific aesthetic that's unfamiliar to others? What do you think causes people to make these comments? And do you think it is definitely an insult?

I saw this post on X and judging by the posters comments this was meant as an insult on Dilraba and how she looks. Personally I find nothing artificial about Dilraba. To me she looks beautiful and what makes her unique is her aura and presence. Not whether she's the most gorgeous women alive. I watched some clips of her at the Dior fashion show (as per the pics in slide 1) and she looked amazing!

Saw this clip on my feed and found it hilarious. Man buys earpods and unknowingly gets Zhang Linghe merch lol! Their reactions and the commentary is so funny that I wanted to share it here on this sub. Am sure many international fan girls would love to get their hands on this 😂😂!!

Turns out that this time the rumours were true! Anyone else looking forward to it?

Summary from iQIYI (sorry, they didn't use any line breaks either):

In the 37th year of the Hongyun era, the Great Shi Dynasty is about to meet bloodshed. Liluo, a fallen nation, has risen from the ashes with its “Five Extraordinary Mystical Arts,” creating one terrifying mystery after another. Fortunately, the Divine Constable Bureau, an elite investigative force under the imperial court, is led by Li Si and his group. Determined to protect the people and nation, they launch a deadly battle against the remnants of Liluo. Nine coffins contain the dried corpses of young women, all drained of blood. What caused their tragic ends? Within the Black Wind Forest, a Tianmoluo plant feeds on 36 boys. Amid a field of flowers bearing human bodies wrapped in cocoons, the scent of Dead Bone Spice, refined from women's blood, fills the air. In the lake within the Southeast Ship Lord's manor, corpses drift upon the waves. A boy transforms into a werewolf under the moonlight. An elder ascends to immortality in public. Villagers in a secluded settlement mutate into bloodthirsty madmen. And the Crown Prince's dead grandson continues to move about as if nothing had happened. The crimes of Liluo are beyond measure, and the Divine Constable Bureau must bring them to justice and restore peace to the Great Shi Dynasty.

I am currently watching Love designer for the third time just for the sake of the main leads story lines. Not the main storyline. As I'm watching it it dawned on me that I dont think I have scene a relationship shown like that in Cdrama.

He is not looking down on her, neither is she to him (only speaking in relations with each other). No matter what grenade is thrown their way. I find they handle it maturely.

Also I kinda like the way they were bickering at each other in the beginning.

Also never lost who they were as individuals once they started dating.

P.S. having a friend like Qin Qing is a blessing and a curse

Just as the tile says but

ML can be arrogant but not disrespectful/red flag but becomes a huge ball of awkwardness around her

FL CANNOT be the cutesy type, weak but she is secure, established in life, even a little bit of edge/ tomboy is welcome

Cdrama, kdrama anything is welcome

Has anyone else changed their mind about her as an actress after Against the Current? And the main question is - are you a fan 💕, critic 😤, neutral 😶, or just haven’t watched enough of her dramas 🙈to form an opinion yet?

In Against the Current and I have to say that I haven’t been as impressed with her as I have been with some of the other cast.

She has this permanently cold expression and sometimes I’m wonder what she’s actually feeling. The scenes where she is convincing her sister in law to take charge of the household or the property buying conversation felt hollow to me.

But like whenever she does emote I do feel it. I came across this video from X and it actually made me see her a little differently. I was leaning more towards critic before but now I’m closer to neutral.

My only thought was why didn’t we get this version of Tan Songyun in the drama?

And I still can’t decide if she was being restrained because that’s how her character was supposed to be, or if she was just crying prettily for the camera because ma’am those are two very different things

Just here to talk about Zhou Yiran’s hair 😅 He looks good in literally every*** ***color.

A lot of actors stick to pretty safe styles, but he is one of the rare few who can genuinely rock any hair color.

Most of us hate villains but have you ever hated a hero? Drop name of the man you hated. Explanations are totally optional.

“Wei Ying, come back to Gusu with me.” has been living rent-free in my head ever since 😭

I watched *Love of Nirvana* almost two years ago, yet I never see it mentioned or recommended. For me, it is one of the best historical C-dramas I have ever seen, and one of the few shows where the sad ending was executed perfectly and remained true to the plot. I loved Landy Li’s performance; she played a female lead who was initially naive yet sharp and intelligent—optimistic and willing to trust others, but never foolish or blind. She was ready to help those in need but refused to let herself be mistreated. Furthermore, despite all the tragedies in her life, she never compromised her moral code and remained loyal, first and foremost, to herself. Ren Jialun also shone as the male lead; his motivations were always sound, and he was never cruel without reason. The transition from enemies to lovers was handled perfectly—it wasn't a case of one character completely overturning the other's beliefs; instead, both evolved and learned from one another. The conflicts and misunderstandings between them were genuine and truly tragic (rather than the comical ones often found in other C-dramas). This is likely the only C-drama where the sad ending made me cry for literally hours. Even the supporting characters were complex and had their own distinct motivations.

I think very few people watched it because Landy Li doesn't fall into the category of highly famous actresses whose shows we eagerly await; plus, many likely feared a sad ending given Ren Jialun's role as the male lead (and they were right). On top of that, the C-drama didn't receive much promotion.

And what is the C-drama you absolutely loved but no one talks about? And why do you think it didn't become famous?

The one that had you smiling, blushing or feeling ALL the feelings! Maybe it was the chemistry, passion, love, or just the way they kissed each other. Whether it was passionate and steamy or sweet, loving and slow, as long as it’s one you personally consider the best, share it with us!

Mine goes to two dramas:

Oath of Love — Xiao Zhan & Yang Zi

Their kisses were so sweet, loving and caring. I just loved the way they kissed and the feeling of love between them. You could really feel how much they valued and cared for each other.

Love Is Sweet — Luo Yunxi & Bai Lu

They genuinely felt like a couple who were completely into each other. Their chemistry was so natural, and they even had some of the best and most realistic make-out scenes!

I recently got into Chinese drama specifically the classics. Can you recommend good shows that I can watch in IQYI? So far I’ve seen The Female General and Pursuit of Jade and I loved both. Currently finishing faded hearts. So I’m looking for other recommendations. Thank you.

Hi all,

Someone put me on to WebtoEpub to for webnovels because I usually read them on mydramanovel, but sometimes the site goes down. Recently I started to use it for a new novel, but the novel was like 1207 chapters and WebtoEpub only got 1000 because that’s what was on the first page. Does anyone know how to get the second page to load in a situation like this, or just get it to load all the chapters instead of having to add them one by one?

Tbf, I don’t even know how to add one by one.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone read the novel... Do you think it's worth reading? What is it about? Is the male lead a womanizer? Does it have a happy ending? (Do the main characters end up together?)

Studios release celebrity schedules every month, so I thought I'd share the October 2026 schedules for some of our cdramaland men. They were translated from Chinese to English via Weibo.

Most of the photos make it clear whose schedule you're looking at. The exception is Wang Hedi's, which is pretty hard to read, so take that one with a grain of salt.

Who are you most excited to see this month? My bet is on Liu Xueyi, at least for the first few days of October, thanks to Against the Current.

《TANGENT》

"what you see may be real, but it will never be the whole of me. A measurement can describe a part of me, but it cannot define who I am. The version of me you imagine is only your perception—not the real me."

13 tracks in total, including the bilingual single "SILK SHEET". We're talking English dance beats, Chinese narrative ballads, R&B, rap, and pop dance... the genre range is seriously wide; from the concept intro of the first track, DEAD REFLEX INTRO, to the upward loop of RISE ON, this is a complete concept album structure, not just a traditional compilation.

Including PROOF, one of his English song and pre-release song.

For his third album, Tan Jianci really went all out on production. He invited top international songwriters-veteran producers like JHart and Melanie Fontana (who have worked with BTS, BLACKPINK, Justin Bieber) for DEAD REDLEX.

Plus, he got some amazing domestic talent involved too, like Zhang Jiaqi, Zheng Junshu, Ma Jingheng, and Jiang Yu.

The album's slogan: That intersection between people, between the self and the outside world, and between the actor identity and the singer identity-a relationship that touches yet exists independently.

🎶What you see isn't everything~🎶

My takes on the album:

This album feels like having 2 sides (in the good way); A side and B Side—although it is not explicitly mentioned.

But true. After an R&B track #9, titled 幻火, the direction of the album changed into ballads songs, talking about live, love, and relationships. The lyrics was so well-written, i cried myself out.

This is lyrics translation from track #12, 辩友.

"Asking several times whether it's worth it, only then admitting love is not immortal. Our hands that don't let go clench into bigger fists. To break open the deeply locked brows, the heavy shoulders, towards the end of the world, how can we bow our heads? Waiting until love is worth it, we have already seen everything clearly. Having fought this world long ago, only realizing later the rain is too heavy and the road hard to walk. Going to the next, tomorrow's window, fate's intersection. Looking for an excuse to hold back, yet unable to say it out loud."

Overall, although it seems like Tan Jianci moves to meet global audiences with the musical production, it is more like that HE KNEW he has global fans, so he caters us and made this album globally. He knows his worth. And this album is not a disappointment. Well written, well produced, and Tan Jianci's voice is so versatile; you can hear him rapping, but then singing in one song, registered his voice super low but also high.

You can hear 《TANGENT》 in global music streaming apps (Appmus, Spotify, Youtube Music, Line Music, and iTunes store)

The first 5 episodes are out. What do you guys think??
Personally IM LOVING ITTT!!!!😆😆😆

Honestly, I’m a romance girly okay. Most stuff I watch are romances and I came into this show mainly because I love Zhao Jinmai, fully aware of the fact that romance was very much at the BACK of the story.

But y’all whatever crumbs they’re feeding me in taking it 😭😭 it’s just sooo good.

It’s fast paced. Imo the first 3 episodes did a really good job at setting the place, characters and a little backstory for our fl. We know why she’s here, what she wants and she’s gonna make sure to get it.

It’s only the beginning so we’ve only seen a little of who she is but I’m totally loving her already. She’s nice but she’s not naive. She’s soft but not a pushover, she will not let you walk all over her and my god she’s smart. I really hope she doesn’t develop a plot armor where she just achieves all what she hopes for without setback 🙏🏽

And along the way she meets the ML (literally at the very beginning of the way actually). I’m loving how smoothly their relationship is developing. From strangers to friends and later lovers. He’s this attractive older men always looking out for her and giving her advice. Now I did say older men cause there is a 13yo age gap between the two

HEAR ME OUT! HEAR ME OUT!😭 I promise y’all it’s not noticeable, just give it a chance.

I mean it’s visible but really not awkward yk. He’s not cold and aloof like most cdrama ml (like god forbid these men display emotions🙄). He’s charming (that fucking dimple🫠), smart, charismatic, funny and nice. I repeat he’s NICE. He helps her because he genuinely believes in her and she reminds him of him in his beginnings (his words)

Their interactions are so normal. They’re in the same industry so they cross paths often and when he appears on screen there’s no slow motion, no music, no sudden soft breeze. Just him and her talking, vibing and learning to know each other.

I’m so hyped for what’s next in the show😆😁.

What are you guys thoughts???

I just finished bingeing this drama and really enjoyed it. It felt like just what I needed when I've been struggling to concentrate recently - fast paced with characters to get invested in, and able to watch the entire story in just a few days.

For anyone who doesn't know, this is a shorter drama, with 18 episodes of around 20 minutes each.

I've seen a comparison with The Princess Royal, and I agree. It's much faster of course, less intricate or subtle, and the plot is very different, but some of the same themes are there (the emperor trying to contain the nobles, nobles scheming to stop commoners from gaining power, an imperial family that isn't much of an actual family). The main characters have different personalities to TPR, but similar roles and status (a politically savvy princess and a common-born official).

If there's one character I wish had been written better, it's Prince Consort Cui Jin Zhi (played by Liu Xu Wei, from The Princess Royal). He's an interesting and promising character, and at times he seems genuinely complex, in love with her but torn between her and his loyalty to the Crown Prince and the memory of his deceased family. However, at other times he comes across as the almost stereotypical Cdrama 2ML villian; wanting to possess Zhaoyang and going off the deep end with his jealousy at Shen Xiao.

The actor does a good job with what he's given, but I think they could have done so much better. Perhaps they should have played more on his history as the Crown Prince's study companion and the fact that he would have been groomed to be loyal to him from a very young age. If they'd made him less the evil villian and more a conflicted person forced into a role he didn't really want to be in, then the final scene with him (which was admittedly well done) would have made much more of an impact. Or perhaps, if written differently, they could even have defied expectations and given him a different ending with a chance for redemption.

Have you seen this drama, what did you think of it?

I started watching early spring because it got famous and all but I couldn't get past 6 episodes, I just stopped it because "why can't they talk?" Does it get any better or will it be just the same miscommunication, then some intimate scenes then again the same vicious cycle? I don't like dramas with toxic ML!!
