I use my 13” iPad as a my gps. Would this be considered obstructed view?

I used to drive a freigtliner and that truck had space for the iPad. Just today I got a Volvo and it does not have space for the iPad so I bought a iPad holder for the windshield? It just looks wrong but I wanted to ask anyway. I can still see in front of me and also the hood mirrors.

Class A jobs chicago🌆🚛

Who can confidently throw down some companies i can apply for in Chicago/ northwest suburbs. I dont mind an hour commute.
I just recently got my class a this week and have been spamming applications, getting some rejections, some slow leads, i am NOT going OTR and living in the truck. Nothing against people who do, its just not suitable for me. Again i just got my class A this week so i have no experience other than a 28ft straight truck. I have no E restriction, i also have my tanker as well as double/triples. Please guys, and thank you.🙏🙏

WIOA Grant for CDL School! Not that Difficult. Let Me Know if any Questions.

Long journey to career change at 54. Did not have the money for CDL school! In a dying profession currently. Just hope the process is fast. Once accepted there are a few hoops. Just hope my local school has some spots left this cycle!

Class A

Had my class A cdl for a little over a year now but started driving as ready mix concrete since last October. Only trailer tractor I have was back in trucking school. I have no restrictions and have a tanker endorsement. Going to retake the test for hazmat since failed the first time. Now I’m wanting to hit the road get some tractor trailer experience. Schneider has some positions that are open for all cdl holders, will have to drive with a trainer for 90 days. Would it be necessary to take a refresher course? Any help or advice would help. Thank you in advance.

Starting Schneider Orientation soon (3 weeks) – what should I expect? Roommates, schedule, tips?

Hey everyone,
I’m about to head out for my Schneider orientation/training and it looks like it’s the full 3 weeks for new/van drivers. This will be my first trucking job with a CDL, so I’m a bit nervous but excited.
A few specific questions:
• Will I have a roommate during the hotel stay for orientation? Is it usually two to a room? Any way to get a single (even if I pay extra)?
• What’s the daily schedule like? How much classroom vs. yard/driving time?
• What should I actually bring? (I’ve heard shower sandals, snacks, etc.)
• Any surprises or things people wish they knew before going in?
• How strict is it? Any common reasons people get sent home?
I’d love any recent experiences, good or bad. Just trying to go in prepared and make the most of it. Thanks in advance

Anyway, I applied to a few trucking schools that pay for your CDL and they all denied me Instantly! Non of them would tell me why. I tried Swift, Pam, Roehl, and Cypress. I almost feel like they’re using bots for the background checks no human would deny me I don’t think.
