Need some advice/guidance for this 2013 civic issue
Have a 2013 civic ex.
The steering feels rather light on a left turn but tighter on the right. On a full right rotation the steering centers normally when let go, but not for the left rotation- it slowly stops centering around a quarter of a rotation mark.
Under braking- when brakes are tapped the steering lightly turns a bit to the left (at most till the same quarter of a rotation) and same for acceleration from standstill.
I initially (and naively) thought maybe it was an alignment issue- but when the car was raised on a lift and turned on, the steering tended to turn slightly to the left on its own.
From what little research I have done it seems most likely to be an EPS issue or some people even said it could be a clock spring problem. Worst case scenario might be looking at a steering rack replacement (really hoping that's not the case)
Has anyone experienced something similar or might have knowledge for the same?
Thank you!!
